Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Some websites were reporting that retail versions work for the Upgrade program on Destiny, but according the FAQ that's not the case. Oh well, time to cancel my physical pre-order and buy it digital the moment it becomes available. Too bad we can't pre-order and pre-load on the 360.

Who should I pick on Warframe, I'm absolutely torn right now? Been flipping through these 3 characters for the last 10 minutes.
Excalibur is the most average one where you can slash and shoot the same. Easiest to get used to.

Mag is long range and can destroy enemies easily in co-op, but is harder to get used to. Like a mage class, or ME biotic.

Volt is like a sniper and deals dmg, but takes a lot of dmg too. Shoots lightning. Like Raiden.

Has anyone experienced this glitch on Minecraft One edition? My son and I loaded a 360 save, and went to play spit screen coop....he could mine, but my guy could only fly around. I couldn't even break up sand. Also, I couldn't lay any new blocks at all.

Gold members get more
Xbox Live Rewards Gold members don't just get Games with Gold titles for free – they can also earn Rewards Credits just for playing them! Simply download your free Games with Gold titles for Xbox 360 or Xbox One, play them for 10 hours or more, and earn 1,000 Rewards Credits. You can grab an extra 2,000 Creditswhen you purchase add-ons for these Games with Gold titles.* That adds up to 3,000 Credits for each Games with Gold title!
Found this interesting, hadn't heard of or read this yet in the Rewards dept. so wanted to make sure it was out there.

For each GWG game, play 10 for hours or more, and you get 1,000 Rewards credits. That's actually a pretty easy 2,000 credits a month.

Not a glitch. This can be changed in settings somewhere (I think it's in the world settings right as you're about to load it up). I think the option is called trust players. Just check that box and you will be allowed to manipulate the world.

Link to where you found that?

I wonder if that counts for Gold Weekend because I've been playing the heck out of FM5 so far.

It's already been mentioned a half-dozen times....

It has to be a GwG, and it mentions it has to be played within 14 days of "the announcement" which is the sketchy part.

So with Need for Speed Rivals joining the vault, it's almost safe to say a new game a month. So probably pvz in October or NBA Live 14. I like the program, has already saved me money on buying any ea games for fear they'll eventually join the vault.

It'll most certainly be NBA LIVE 14.

Even then no one will play it, lol

It won't be one game a month for very long if that's the case. All they have left is Garden Warfare, UFC, and NBA Live. This fall's new EA Sports games won't be added for quite some time, I would imagine.

A game a month is likely a stretch. I would think they added a 5th game so soon to give people the impression it will be a monthly thing without actually saying it. EA just doesnt have enough games out to add one monthly unless they start adding their brand new releases. I do think EA access is a great value though and am very glad its on X1

I'll probably just fire the game up overnight a couple of times in addition to putting in actual gameplay hours. That will hopefully take some of the mystery out of it.

I wonder if those GWG Rewards apply to the XBox One GWG's as well... theoretically if you had both, you could then get 3000 pts/month. Plus then your additional 250/mo. for a survey.

It won't be one game a month for very long if that's the case. All they have left is Garden Warfare, UFC, and NBA Live. This fall's new EA Sports games won't be added for quite some time, I would imagine.
Yeah, this has been the biggest issue I've seen with the service since they're just one publisher that started this service in the launch year of the console, so the amount of possible games they can give in the first year is too small to come close to what PS+ and GWG can offer. They'd have to start up publishing indie and other smaller digital games again to do that, which isn't a known thing at this point. I can't see them adding anything from Madden 15 onward until next spring at the earliest, so the vault won't exactly age all that well unless they become extremely aggressive with it.

Don't forget Titanfall, but I doubt that would be anytime soon before Hardline's release.

I think that a drunkard programmed the commentary in Madden 15.

The announcers said "and it's a quick 3 and out" as my opponent ran for a first down.

Keep us posted--just keep in mind that I'm sure it will take a few days for the Rewards site to start showing any progress.

I just canceled the retail pre-order because of the digital upgrade program. I think it's a safe bet that it'll be 2 discs, likely one being for install.
It'll be interesting if it is 2 discs. I recently noticed that I can't find any 2 disc games digitally on xbox live. At least the ones I looked for. Mass effect 2 or 3 and I can't remember the other ones I was looking for. I figured they couldn't make them work digitally.

GTA V, Max Payne 3, LA Noire is 3 discs I think.

Plenty more I'm sure.

With the "Use X New Apps for Y hours" ones, I used to load the app up, turn off the TV, and go to bed. That was how I got my hours with the apps. The only time I didn't was when it just wanted you to use any app for X hours and I got that time watching KHL games on the ESPN app anyways. :p I can't think of a specific time I've done that with games, but I'd imagine there's a good chance it'd work the same way. Even if I leave it on 8 hours overnight and it only counts part of that time, after 2 nights of it I'd be there or almost there.

For Monaco, I also actually PLAYED the game some. I would have anyways, but even then I wouldn't recommend just loading the game without finishing a mission or an achievement or something to indicate progress first. Just in case.

I didn't realize those were multi-disc. On the Xbox store, they're all under 8gb, which is about the max size of a single-disc game. So I wonder why they need to be multi-disc and I wonder why Mass Effect 2 and 3 aren't on there. Some others I thought of: Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Batman: Arkham Origins.

It's probably because they compress the hell out of the files. I know GTAV plays horribly on the 360 if you're playing the digital version. Sounds like the processor can't handle decompressing the files while the game is playing.

Files aren't compressed.  GTA V runs fine on Games on Demand for me at least.  Halo 4 is another 2 disc game as well.

It's pretty much pick and choose with MS and the developers it seems.  Almost half of the library isn't on XBLM with a lot of key titles missing as well.

LA Noire is 3 discs but only 8GB on the GoD version because each disc has all the facial expressions and stuff on them. When running off the hard drive with the GoD version, it only needs one copy of all those files.

So essentially if the developer came up with a way to fit the GoD version into a single iso, via compression or not needing redundancy, then the game exists digitally. Maybe they couldn't pull that off for other games, like the ones I mentioned. So Destiny likely could be multi-disc at retail.

And besides, some games like Max Payne 3 will make you download extra stuff - that game is 6.7GB or so but it makes you download a further 7GB or so before it lets you play the whole campaign, because it was originally on 2 discs, and indeed it has all the data as well. My guess is Destiny's the usual 7GB disc or so, with possibly some stuff (2GB or so) to install from the disc, thus an extra 2GB to be downloaded in-game as well. But we'll see, we're probably like 2 days away from the marketplace appearance.

Lococycle was a fun little game. For $6, I can't complain at all. Super easy 1000G and had numerous quotes from Big Trouble In Little China littered throughout.

Also, cool little tidbit...James Gunn (Guardians Of The Galaxy director) has a role in the live action part of the game.

So I decided to try out Forza and dl it yesterday for the free weekend. Do I suck!!! I'm more of a Sega GT racer. I wasn't sure if the game actually had me racing other players and if I was and if any of you were there, sorry.

I also dl Pinball FX and it feels better than it did on the 360.

GTA v is only 8 gigs if you never want to play it. When you start it up, it downloads around another 8 gigs. It takes up about 16 Gigs on my hard drive and it runs great.

There's also Watch Dogs, AC IV, Halo 4.

I don't know how the other ones work, but with Max Payne 3, when you get to a certain point in the game, you download part 2, and near the end you download part 3, so the game file ends up being around 12-13 GB.

I would only assume you have to install more files for Destiny.  Beta was 5 GB and that was only a small portion of the game.

Quick question: how do you access your downloads on Xbox One? Redeemed a code for a Destiny shader from xbox.com and I was wondering if there's anyway to see if I have it
