I think for some of the regulars in the X360 ME1/ME2/ME3 threads, if there's a remastered edition, that might be the fourth platform they would have played it on, as we've had it on PC, X360 and PS3.

I know I'd be in for another pass through the game on XB1/PS4, if it's really a huge jump forward on the Frostbite engine running DA: I . ME 4/Next.

 
Is there not a general achievement/gamerscore discussion thread? I feel like that's something we should have. Like to talk about whether certain games are easy or hard completions, and gather resources like TA.

Hmmm Abyss Odyssey is $5. I certainly like the art style, not sure about that game itself. Any recommendations.

Wow, there's a ton of stuff up on xbldb now. Did I miss a few posts? Max is down to $5 on X1. I'm guessing deals are just trickling in.
 
Skimmed through the list and got excited thinking Rock Band 3, Persona 4 Ultimax, and Far Cry 4 were all on sale cheap.  Bummed to realize it's DLC.

Still a decent sale, Fantasia for $15 is a buy if I can find a kinect.

Eh I thought I could upgrade my normal Person 4 Arena Edition with this DLC...as for fighting games..I really have to learn to wait...since I always seem to get the vanilla editions and then they release editions with even more stuff (street fighter, blazblue...)

 
Some of those picked up by XBLDB are kinda meh. Nothing great really jumps out. Either repeat items on sale at a less than stellar discount than before or an item on sale which was free previously. Hope that's not all that's on sale this next week

Back in 2009 after Gears 2 had 3 DLC releases, the Japanese Xbox site briefly posted a list of upcoming releases that included a Gears 2 DLC called Dark Corners. I don't remember if just the Dark Corners mention was pulled or that entire page, but the devs at Epic denied that there was a Dark Corners DLC coming. A few months later, Epic announced the Dark Corners DLC for Gears 2. Unfortunately, I don't remember which member of the dev team lied in denying it was coming, if it was Rod Fergusson (who is the lead designer in the above link), Joe Graf or someone else. I can understand a company wanting to keep things under wraps, but I think it would be better to issue a "no comment" vs. an outright lie.

Someone on the Black Tusk forums posted a topic about Rod's tweet, and there was plenty of discussion dissecting it. A lot of it was playing semantics, that "no Marcus Fenix Collection" doesn't rule out a remastered Gears collection, and could cover their butt in the case of an outright lie. Or a remastered first game is coming. I missed the tail end of that topic discussion before it ended up getting deleted. No one answered my question about who it was that denied the Dark Corners DLC, though a lot of people that post on Black Tusks forums (and previously on Epic's) don't dare question or call out an official source, even if there are legitimate questions to be asked.

So we wait for E3. And I'll have some fun on Black Tusk's forums if that tweet ends up being false, though not enough to be (justifiably) banned.

The online component is broken to shit! No hyperbole. You will rarely, if EVER, find a match online. It is complete garbage. It doesn't even have the classic Tetris theme. Just some generic crap that will drive you crazy.

Nice to at least see some XBLA titles in there even though there's nothing I'm interested in. Wonder if Mark of the Ninja will ever be on sale again.
 
The season passes for Watch Dogs ($13.99) and Far Cry 4 ($20.99) are also on sale for XB1, though it looks like it might be Gold only.

Rant time: I hate that the individual DLCs for these newer titles never go on sale anymore. There's only one piece of substantial DLC content I want for each game, and those are already cheaper than the season passes (but still too expensive individually). Doesn't help that the discounts on the season passes really suck.

 
Of course, the downside to the sales going up early is that all the same old tired bitching and complaining goes up early, too.

They said the DLC for Rock Band would work on RB4, right? Because I just bought that Black Keys and Pretty Hate Machine Pack... time to fire up Rock Band Blitz again.

Edit: Just realized I spent $5 on songs for a game I hadn't touched in years and went back to buy LEGO Marvel as well.

I was referencing the fact that I don't have to wait until 8-9 pm tonight to start seeing what will be on sale. I can get home after work and do my research into games and/or DLC that interests me and be ready to get my purchasing ON. But I do understand what you're saying. A few things catch my eye, but nothing set in stone yet for me...except Watch_Dogs pass. Probably snatch that up.

Correct, 95% of the library will work and the packs will transfer. From the HMX forums - "Anything you downloaded and bought, including disc exports and soundtracks are going to work in RB4."

I picked up the McAfee/128GB USB from TigerDirect the other day for $60 with a $60 rebate. I did that specifically in case the rumor is true. My 250GB drive is full and I really don't want to swap it up for a 500GB one when I can add two 128GB sticks. :)

Someone said this--maybe in a review I read somewhere--but it's so true. Rayman Origins is a thinking person's platformer. If you think you're going to fire it up and go mindlessly left to right, you're not. Now, having played through most of the game myself, I agree wholeheartedly with that statement, and...it's a FANTASTIC GAME. I couldn't bring myself to play anything else for the first three weeks after this went free on X1.

Agreed. Origins and Legends are two of the best modern day platformers (only Ori, which is much more than just a platformer IMO, is better). Honestly prefer the Rayman games to the 3D Mario titles of recent times. Yes, I will say that I liked these games way more than Super Mario Galaxy.

yea I'd assume the 95% are the songs they already took off the marketplace. I know there's a decent amount but only pack I can think of off the top of my head is the Metallica pack which I think was the first DLC to get taken off the store.

They also said they are trying to make the old wireless instruments work as well and may have to come out with a separate adapter to make it work due to the different frequencies. But I'm hoping wired will work no matter what. I got the RB2 wired drums and prob wouldn't buy anther set, whole reason I kept them this long is in hopes of anther game (whether on 360 or xbone)

Yup, quite a few packs have been taken down, Metallica, Spinal Tap, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Locksley, Electric Six, etc). Something to note, the Rock Band 3 soundtrack will not export to RB4.

Some things are still up in the air, since HMX hasn't determined yet. I think they're waiting to see what the community's reaction will be. Last gen's plastic instruments, no vocal harmonies, etc. I myself was not in any rush to get an X1, but hearing that HMX was making RB4......I had to make the jump. I have over 1,600 songs in my RB library and it's just a no brainer. Not including vocal harmonies or being able to use your current instruments would be a big step back. I really hope those come to RB4

 
Rayman Origins is a must have, but I'm also considering Mini Ninjas, Freefall Racers and Geon Cube. These days, saving hard drive space is more important than price but I'd get just about anything for less than $3. Any thoughts on those, Motorcross Madness and Virtua Tennis 4?
