Just picked up Good & Evil. Pissed me off though I was only 10msp short so I had to use another code for it. Passed on Sega Rally after playing a couple of games last night. I'm still debating on Outrun though.

Probably not worth $3.50 unless you play L4D2 a lot. The map itself sort of sucks (and is only 3 chapters), and the mutations are pretty meh at this point.

So is anyone else a little worried about the year end sale now? I have a feeling its going to be a lot more of people getting their hopes up and then being disappointed

I'm in the "it's either going to be amazing or just be Risk Factions & some other shovelware" group.

On the plus side, I have points banked already.
 
I'm not really worried about the december/new years sales because now I know not to get my hopes up, and honestly I don't feel like it'll be any worse than this sale, most likely will be slightly better. odds are we'll see a few of the summer of arcade titles on sale too

Not really worried, more of a reality check after the BF and CM deals. Now I know not to expect anything due to the previous year's sales. So with that train of thought, this year's "year end sales" will be one sale each day; not multiple items each day like in 2010. No disappointments for me again MS!

On that note, after all this week of sales, I ended up getting FX2 core and marvel, DaVinci, BG&E and MK Kollection. Skipped SMB since I just couldn't get into the demo and I have like 50+ arcade games on backlog

Actually I'm thinking it's going to be really good. Maybe to make up for the lack of doorbuster action we were all expecting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I smell a Bastion sale for New Year's...

Also hoping for a deep discount on ITSP. There's no way that game should have launched for 800msp. I'll bite for 400 but probably not 600.
 
Just bought BG&E, Risk Faction, Crazy Taxi, Happy Tree Friends, Warhammer 40K, Phantasy Satr 2 and Sega Rally.

Not sure why though, just bought 13 games on black friday. And before I bought them I already had about 20 games in my backlog.

I think I may have an addiction...
 
So many people disappointed in the Black Friday sales, but go back and look at what was actually on sale last year and it's more or less comparable. The BF arcade games a year ago were Splosion Man (160), Trials HD (400), Greed Corp (160) and TMNT:ReShelled (160) while CM offered Worms 2 (400), Band of Bugs (400), Earthworm Jim HD (400) and Centipede/Millipede (200).

SoA titles didn't get discounted until the Christmas daily deals and I would expect the same thing to happen this year.

No because this sale was just fine. I don't expect every game on XBLA to be 50% off on every sale. If I pick up a couple games I want I consider it a good sale. I got 5 from BF (Pinball FX, Deathspank, BGE HD, Killteam, Full House Poker) so I consider this one great.
 
So tomorrow begins a new DOTW. Any word on what that is?

Also, I'm confused, everyone hated Risk Factions a few pages ago and now you guys love it?

I think it's not the game that's hated, it's the fact that it's been on sale literally a DOZEN times over the last year or so.

Exactly. I love Risk. Risk Factions is a decent version of Risk and easily worth 400 points let alone 200.

I'll get D&D once it's 240 points or lower. i almost wanna get it now just cus i love rpg games like that but all the bad reviews and comments in this thread tell me to wait it out
 
Man if you guys have 240 MSp, do yourself a favor and go and buy BG&E. For three bucks where is there a negative side to this deal. THe story is weird as hell to me, but its a pretty great game and only for $3.

Well i was considering getting pinball FX so i could import the tables but i saw a thread on x360a by a guy saying it is no longer possible because the dlc was de-listed so just got the tables taking my haul to

So to say the sale wasn't as expected i have picked up a few i have been waiting for anyway.

With about 4k left for the run upto new year RE4, Bastion plus a few older titles at 160-200 points would make me very happy.

My brother picked up RISK and the game just won't load up, it seizes up at a screen of the world map and the Xbox has to be turned off and on again. Anyone else got this issue?

This is a well known issue with Risk Factions. I personally never had it happen, but I remember reading that there are work arounds. Maybe check GameFAQs message boards if nobody here is able to help.

Load up the game with eveyone logged off, after that you should be able to boot the game, and then log in when prompted. let me know if that worked.

Sad they never patched this

Me. I've yet to buy anything from the most recent Gamefly deals, AND I bought nothing for Black Friday / Cyber Monday this year... unless you count a few XBLA games. :D The newest games I own are Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat, both of which I have 1000 / 1000 GS in. :p
