• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Forget what I said earlier about contacting different agents at Xbox for refunds, I just got suspended for "marketplace theft". I heard stories about it but didnt think it was actually happening. Wrong

Anyone know if I will lose all my games? The site says nothing about removing my games or my store credit.

It just says:

Does this mean I can still spend the money in my xbox account? Can I still play my games when I go online with the xbox again? Or will the xbox greet me with a "BANHAMMER!!" message and I cant do anything?!

Back in the day there was always some text when you purchase things on XBox Live with the disclaimer "No refunds!" I guess that conditioned me to never even think to ask for a refund on a digital purchase. I notice with the XBox One they started to allow for refunds a little while back. I assume your account is being audited because of the recent refund. It may just blow over. You never know.

I was just able to buy a cheap game just for testing on the website (and also still see my refunded money...) so that is not blocked. Weird.

Is there a list of these available somewhere? I'm playing with the games I have installed and I can confirm the following seem to work off of the external drive. One way to test it seemingly is to try copying the game from the internal storage to an external. If no warning comes up that the game will be unplayable, then it seems it'll work.

Yeah, I haven't seen a list of which Xbox Series X/S enhanced games are playable from external. I've just been doing the same as you, either trying to move them off of the internal drive and see if the warning is there, or if they are already on the external with the update I try to launch them.

So far, checking the file info for XboxOneGen9Aware seems like another option, but yeah figuring out which can be on external to save that precious space on the internal is really messy right now.

I 1000/1000'ed Far Cry 3 on 360 and never thought anything was wrong with its performance. We had different standards back then.

Not to mention all those N64 games that ran at 15 fps and everyone loved them anyway.

He linked the old far cry 3 analysis and it looks like it was worse on ps3, but the cutscenes went down to 15fps and gameplay in the low 20's with constant screen tearing the whole game.

Ignorance is bliss. If we never saw the better versions, our little bubble world of 15fps games and blurry textures was good enough. But once you experience better quality, the lower standards start to stand out and are much more noticeable. Like I never payed attention to judder or motion blurring with 30fps games until I played in 60fps and realized the difference. Now it bugs me on some games. I haven't played anything in 120fps yet......

The $10 a month auto redemption is the best way because it is 8,750 points per $10, caveat is it is only 1 per month so it isn't really good for big ticket items.. So if you want big sums then your best bet is to go for the $100 for 91,000 points which is 9,100 per $10.

Unfortunately, the days of getting $10 for 8,000 points appear to be over. This use to be the best way, hoard all your points until this deal dropped then cash in.

MS gift cards will always cost less points than other gift cards. Target, Walmart, and Amazon all cost the same amount. The best reward is MS gift cards with Level 2 discount. The higher the amount the more of a discount you get ( for example: 4,000 point discount for $50, making it 46,000 points).

Thanks I bought $80 worth of Xbox cards too - Including my MS Rewards points I have enough for a Series X + 3 year MS warranty.

Still might hold out until late next year for a LE Halo Infinite Series X.

You imply here that you got refunds for Watch Dogs and AC, presumably Valhalla.

Alot of people are actually getting their refunds denied even for games they cannot play at all or that just crash constantly and delete their savegames. This is for people from USA. Other regions have different laws where Microsoft cannot do this.

In Australia they dont even manually check the refunds (at least for me with Watch Dogs and AC) but grant them instantly. I guess their systems just check for certain keywords in the form.

Its just hilarious Microsoft as a whole denies a $5 refund for a game that cannot be started (an issue quite alot of Xbox users currently have with some new purchases) but grant $60 ($100 ausd) refunds like candy for games that were played 30 hours (while online) with achievements and all..

I actually rebought Valhalla + Watch Dogs Bundle on a different account for the $93 (the one I played them on), but yeah it might have lead to issues. I also was going to get Cyberpunk on disc locally in EU since the US xbox live version does not have alot of audio languages, which I did not know. i also wasnt online since I downloaded Cyberpunk so I dont think Microsoft could know I was playing it still. I also never bought games before and refunded them and kept playing them offline before in 3 years of xbox live, and spent probably $1000+

Frankly I think I got suspended permantely by Xbox for playing their support. They send you these replies "We do not give refunds on digital purchases" when you raise a valid concern like I really couldnt play Splinter Cell Blacklist, first 360 game ever that did not work. I was also arguing too much with Xbox support and their Global Escalations team, when I got another refusal for a refund I said "stop wasting my time, I will get this refund because you are breaking the law as you have to refund broken products", so then I just refilled another refund form (one of them you can fill multiple times) and got the refund. And then I was suspended.

It seems I could go online now with my xbox, and could still download my games from another account, since its my home xbox. But cant set my account on a new xbox as "home xbox" ever again.

I also had an old communication suspension that was wrong (couple of people got it back then) and Microsoft apologised for it and even gave me a free gamepass code, but it was still in my account for some reason so not sure if that played a part.

If you research Microsoft banning/suspending people it happens quite alot also with Office products and even with their own employees getting banned by mistake. I am not saying I am 100% innocent but stealing someones digital library essentially is pretty shitty.

I don't have that many points. I also have game pass so I won't be buying any games from the shop. I would only want to put the points towards a Series X or GP and GPU.

Well, I don't have 46,000 points and I have no idea how long it will take me to get 6,000 points. Best I would be able to do is $25 credit for 23,000 points and 9300 for $10. You're right though,Target or Walmart would be like 9,000 more points for that same $25. I didn't see Amazon as an option. I see a 3 month GPU is 35,000 points. I see that anywhere from $29.99-44.99 on various websites. I could do 23,000 for the $25 and 9300 for a $10 one for a total of $35 Microsoft currency and 32,300 points. I am not familiar enough with the Microsoft store to know if GPU ever goes on sale or if it is always $44.99 on their store. If it goes on sale, it would be better to use the points towards MS gift cards and buy the 3 month subs with that money. I am kind of confusing myself trying to figure out the best way to redeem the points. Microsoft credit and Xbox credit are the same thing. Not sure why they have both as redemption options in the rewards page. That’s important to note because that means you can buy anything from microsoft.com with your credit. This includes physical goods. So if you want to buy physical games, controllers, consoles, PCs, or whatever they have in stock you will be able to with your credit.

As for games that will or won’t come to game pass, the only thing that for sure will come are Microsoft first party games. Literally everything else could or could not. If you see someone say “this game has game pass written all over it” that doesn’t mean it will likely come to the service. That pretty much just means they hope it does because they don’t feel like paying for it

Why does it make me set up pin locks for my phone? I hate that. I went through the process and changed it back. Well, now I have to do it again in order to use it. What is the reasoning behind this? Why do I have to have all that just to use google pay? It's annoying. I'm not even seeing google pay when I go to check out. I touch shop online in the google pay app under the target promo and open Target up in the browser but google pay is nowhere to be found when checking out. Honestly don't know how you all get so many points. I get like maybe, if I'm lucky, $10 a month, usually it's $6. I pay full price for gold each month (I simply can't afford to buy in bulk even on sale), I never get offers for gamepass either. I never get emails from MS offering free points, I never get Any emails from MS unless I buy something. It's like the poor stay poor, and those that have money get all the free shit.
Approx three months I did Everything I possibly could, including spending my money on sales, and saved up a whopping $38 in ms cash.

I've been playing Dragon Quest on Game Pass everyday since it came out, and now that I've started my vacation time, I've been playing it even more, but I stop after I unlock an achievement and save until the next day. It's tedious as hell, but it's a good way to stretch out the game in order to unlock the 50 Microsoft Rewards points a day on a game that I actually want to play.

I will probably also go back and try to play some more of The Outer Worlds and Yakuza Zero since I have fallen asleep while playing both of those games before during a regular work week.
