[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]

And Enslaved is fun, it's not something that stands out a lot, but it was pretty enjoyable and everything works well in it.
he's referring to the fact he can download it on two 360s in his house, and technically be able to get 2 copies do to the way microsoft sets up DRM on downloadable games.

I got an e-mail from XBox rewards since completing all the April punchcards (free avatar, 1 month XBL and 800 points) and this is all you get when you do:

p2e_Versafied.png

From the thousands of Microsoft Points spent in April for XBLA games, Microsoft gives back this amazing wonder.  Spared no expense.  Only the best programmer and graphic designer were commissioned for these badges.  After we crane lowered our collective wallets into the Microsoft pit, after tearing through that, they just surround us with such love.  Clever girl.

I wonder if they cross checked qualifying Gamertags with those that redeemed multiple 1200 MSP codes bought for $5, saw a very high correlation and figured that was reward enough.

Can anyone else take this month's survey?  It says there isn't one available to me, which makes me suspicious since there has been one every single month since the program began.

I'm seeing this, so I guess they decided to skip the survey this month >.>

Thanks for Stopping By!

Hello! We don't have a survey available this month, but you can head over to the GetYours page to see all the latest ways to earn.

Same here. No survey for me as well. Kinda lame. I'm guessing this program could end as they are going to be switching to real money.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

As you may have heard from the announcements at E3, major changes are coming to Xbox Live. One of these changes is the switch to local currency for purchases on Xbox. That means Microsoft Points will soon be retired and you'll instead be able to use money to purchase content on Xbox (see Xbox.com Points FAQ for more info).

With all these changes, it's become necessary for us to evolve the way we reward you. Starting August 1, 2013, you will not be able to earn Microsoft Points through Xbox Live Rewards any longer. Not to worry, though! Since this currency change is impacting the structure of the program, we're taking the opportunity to make Xbox Live Rewards even better. You'll continue to get rewarded for doing the things you love on Xbox Live – just not with Microsoft Points. So come back to rewards.xbox.com on September 1, 2013 for the full scoop. You can also follow us at @XboxLiveRewards on Twitter for the latest updates.

Finally, despite the Microsoft Points changes, all your hard work will not go to waste. On August 7, 2013 we'll deposit ALL your Pending Rewards Points into your account, even if you have less than 100. And if you still have Points in your Xbox account when Microsoft Points are retired, they'll be transitioned into your country's local currency. Your currency will be available for use at the Xbox Stores as usual. For more on the Points transition, see Xbox.com Points FAQ here.

So keep earning Microsoft Points with Xbox Live Rewards through July 31, 2013 – and stay tuned for exciting changes coming soon!

Sincerely,

Xbox Live Rewards Squad

Thanks for the update! I figured they would do that as it makes sense. Though we all know the rewards will now be lame avatar items or discounts for XBLA games. And if they were smart, they would emphasize the punchcard concept more -- entice people to go digital, buy XBLA/GoD games, use TV apps, etc.

My birthday falls in August. The birthday rewards points started on September 1 last year, if I remember correctly.

I've been robbed of my 20 birthday points!

I have 170 points pending ( I know its not being deposited until mid month and end of month but some people just got theirs sooner ). Why don't they keep it the way it is and just give you the 0.10-0.05$ they're giving us now

So I guess if you want to at least get 1-2% back while you can, now is the time to spend your points.
I'm wondering if going on a binge before the month ends would be worth it. I definitely want to spend all my MSP balance before the conversion, and that won't be a problem since I have a lot Rock Band dlc I want. I kind of doubt the conversion FAQ saying converted funds won't be taxed when used to make a purchase will hold up as true. What's holding me back is maybe when Xbox Live Rewards relaunches it will have that dlc punchcard we have all been waiting for.

I already spent 800 MSP this month. I think I'll just buy The Doors and David Bowie Rock Band 3 track packs. That'll put me at 3080 MSP for the month, so I'll get 70 MSP back. Eh, I'll spend an extra 440 MSP to get 80 MSP back; that'd be a free legacy Rock Band track. That is, if I have no interest in the next three DotW. I'll just look to spend 3520 MSP or a bit more this month.

I just hope we get a couple days notice before the new dashboard goes live for everyone. I'm guessing the Xbox Live Rewards relaunch will have the new dashboard in mind. If Xbox Live Rewards has a cashback reward then I think the new dashboard will go live sometime around the relaunch, September 1.

http://rewards.xbox.com/

The revamped program is now up.

5,000 Rewards Credits are equal to $5 USD. At that rate, it seems like much hasn't changed in terms of rewards/rebates. It also feels weird that they use these imaginary credits to hide the fact that if you're a Gold subscriber and have at least a 75k Gamerscore you get 300 credits ($0.30) back for every $10 you spend.

Not sure if I like the way the program is now. It's also not picking up my Gold membership, whereas previously it had no problem and I was receiving the % back for my gamerscore tier.

That layout gives me a headache.  Took me about seven minutes to figure where the survey was and, since it was about the new layout, I gave it all low scores.

So many asterisks and fine print.. Sounds like for the MyAchievements, whatever you purchase must cost at least $10 to get a rebate. Also it claims every new (says it must be physical disc) xbox game that you play gets you 1000 reward points (essentially $1 cashback). Doesn't seem like too terrible of an overhaul but I doubt I'll get earn many rewards from this program in the coming months, but we'll see.

Hmmm...sounds about the same.  Like the new tier, I've got a little bit of work to get there.  New game thing sounds cool, but only works for the first 30 days after a new release of a game.  I never buy a new game within 30 days of release, so I won't be getting anything there.

Also, I haven't found the survey yet.  I don't hate the layout though, I just can't find the survey.

Oh, and just semantics, but I think "Champion" and "Legend" both sound higher then "Master", so I don't understand why "Master" is the top tier.

Well, now I really have to hit the backlog to get my gamerscore up to 75k.  It sounds like multiples of $10USD for me will trigger a rebate amount but with pricing of most content in my region ending in $X.99 (found a few even $1 DLC and some DLC ending with even more odd numbers), I think the truncated amount beyond every multiple of $10 does not make the reward credits rarely ever reach the full 3% potential so the real reward is actually less than before in my situation (not including the additional tax I'd probably have to pay)!  This is akin to the inverse (since the reward is supposed to pay back opposed to me paying towards) of what gas (petrol) stations do in my area with all the little small denominations.

I know it will be practically never when I play a newly released game for 10 hours, since I tend to wait for games to be significantly discounted so that reward offer does not apply for me.  As for the punchcards, I've not bothered with any apps aside from the Sales & Specials + a while back so I'm sure I can fish out 5 apps I've never tried.  However, I've never purchased any map pack for $10 and I think some potentially qualifying content is actually priced at $9.99 (just not quite $10) on the dashboard which would mean those are actually ineligible (as explained earlier).  I've never purchased any non-free video from Xbox Video, so that's also another throwaway.

I guess I'll do the survey and renew my Gold tonight, to get started on the program.  Thanks for letting me know the new rewards is up, and there is a slightly better incentive to purchase again (been staring down Bully: Scholarship Edition and the Max Payne 3 season pass all this week, I hope to find $2.02 in additional content to gain my first 200 reward credits).

I guess it will take me about a year to earn the 8000 gamerscore I need to bump up my VIP status ^^.

EDIT:  Oh wait, I am glad I caught the renewal reward credits are only if I am renewing from Gold, so I should use my 1-month code the punchcard rewards gave me to upgrade from Free/Silver before I input a 3-month code in about 20 days or so (to finish out the months of "Games With Gold").

If your Gold membership isn't being recognized by the Rewards program, you may not qualify.  The one that bothers me is the promotional Gold.  Saw this form response to a bunch of people on the forums:

We looked into the matter, and unfortunately not all Xbox Live Gold membership types will qualify as Gold on the Xbox Live Rewards site. They include free, trial, and some promotional Gold. Unfortunately your membership for the month falls in that category. We're sorry to share the disappointing news. Appreciate your checking in. Cheers!

I love how this whole rewards system changes because MS changing from MSP to currency; so naturally, XBL Rewards invents their own point system to reconvert to currency.

^ So I'd imagine that the free months and that 2 months for $2 deals will fall into that "promotional" category and not count, right?
Only way to know for sure is to post on the forum asking them to look into it. My one month code I got with a game will expire on 9/24. The rewards site is currently not recognizing my Gold status.

Also, I signed up back in September and December 2011 for the 40% off a year of Gold that was showing up on the dashboard. The emails state they were originally scheduled to go into effect on 7/24 before I redeemed a couple of one month cards between now and then. If one of them goes into effect on 9/24, which their wonderful chat support could not tell me if it would or not, I wonder if it will qualify for the rewards program.

After picking up Diablo III from Redbox this morning, I realized that if I play a Redbox new release for 10 hours I get a buck back, and since I only go to Redbox if I have a coupon, these will essentially be free rentals. Nice.

I've been Gold for the last few years without using any promotional Gold access. The last thing I used was a 12-month code from Amazon.

Yet, it does not recognize me as Gold status.

I'd like to believe that it's just bugged, and will be fixed accordingly...

I also noticed refer-a-friend is broken, too.

Essentially, couldn't you leave your Xbox on overnight to guarantee you get the 10 hour minimum? Not everyone has 10 hours to put into a Redbox rental in the 1-2 days you have it for.

Hmm, I may start going to Redbox for once, nice tip :)
Make sure to sign up for their text message notifications. They only text you with codes for either a free DVD rental ($1.50 off a game rental) or a free game rental.

Absolutely my plan. I normally only hit up a Redbox if I have a day off from work which allows me some extra time to play within that 2 day period. I'll roughly track my time on Raptr and just leave the box on to fill the remaining time.

Something else to keep in mind is the Bing Rewards program.  220 bing points (gold), 240 if not, get you a free 1 day game rental from Redbox.  So that's about a free rental every 2 weeks per account.

New survey for October is up.

For anyone who picked up GTA5, have you gotten the 1,000 credits for playing 10 hours yet?  I don't have it, but I figure there are many, even among CAGs, who got it right away and put in well over 10 hours by now.  Their FAQ says "Some activities will display in the MyCredits progress bar and in MyStatement within 2 days. Others, like special offers, won't show up until the offer is over."  Curious if playing a game within a month of release is one of those activities.

A new punchcard is up. It's for TV season passes. If you buy five TV season passes you get $10 back. Each season pass must be at least $10. The punchcard runs from November 1 to December 31.

Also, the apps punchcard and maps dlc punchcard say they run until November 30. I'm pretty sure that's an extension from previously running until only October 31.

So Microsoft just updated the Xbox Rewards program, and it has some pretty sweet new incentives:

Earn your Stars
Our most loyal members get even more rewards - like up to 10% back on purchases made in the Xbox Store through MyVIP! Every dollar you spend counts toward earning VIP Stars and a higher level of payback. As your VIP Star rank increases, your Rewards earnings will accelerate! Plus, maximize your Rewards when you stay Gold on Xbox Live!

Gold members get more
Xbox Live Rewards Gold members don't just get Games with Gold titles for free – they can also earn Rewards Credits just for playing them! Simply download your free Games with Gold titles for Xbox 360 or Xbox One, play them for 10 hours or more, and earn 1,000 Rewards Credits. You can grab an extra 2,000 Credits when you purchase add-ons for these Games with Gold titles.* That adds up to 3,000 Credits for each Games with Gold title!

But don't wait – to qualify, you'll need to complete this offer within 14 days of the Games with Gold announcement. Get started now!
The new rebate chart is as follows (normal rebate %/Gold rebate %):

1 star - 1/2

2 stars - 2/4

3 stars - 3/6

4 stars - 4/8

5 stars - 5/10

I don't know how much spending it takes to level up a star, but apparently I'm 79% of the way towards 2 stars.

Also, the site layout has been improved greatly and adds in a bunch of nice tracking stuff. All of the old reward options (surveys, referrals, MyPunchcards, etc.) are still there.

Yeah I could not find anywhere how to actually get from one star level to the next.

I am only like 25% to 2 stars.

I planned on getting Destiny and Master Chief Collection digitally so hopefully that will be enough to bump me to 2 at least!

I found the breakdown in the terms and conditions page by dumb luck.

Star breakdown
$1200?!?

If this were for an extended period of time that would be one thing but according to that page it all either resets or expires June 2015 if I am reading correctly.... that is a lot of money spent on digital content to get the most out of the star program haha
