[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]
also 1 more question. How many i get my points into my account?
You need to first accumulate at least 100 points pending, then they are usually added to your account around midway through the following month (when you receive your monthly statement)

I have a question about last month's promotion. Was the bonus points promotion just for renewing the Gold subscription or was it for the 1st purchase made on the marketplace as well? The forums support is stating it was just for renewing Live but I thought it was for the first purchase too.

Thanks

Same here. How odd.

Guess it's not ending on 6/30/2011 but can't find anything about extending it or a new end date. I'm glad it's continuing though. I have been rewarded 1,200 points in 7 months so far. Not including the points from the beta. A lot better than the nothing we got before.

I have 740 points in my account right now....

too bad since next weeks deals are Grand theft auto 4 related.

Lost and Damned at 400 points, and TBOGT at 800

Grand theft auto San Andreas will also be at 800 points.

Tried to view stats from the Xbox Rewards Newsletter email I got but got like a server error. Anyone else's work or is it on their end I'm guessing.

Don't you only receive the points after you have accumulated more than 100 pending points?

I was sort of pissed when I found out that the the XBL points accumulated through the rewards program expires.
Don't you only receive the points after you have accumulated more than 100 pending points?
That doesn't really matter since my account has no indication that I even took part in the offer (not to mention receiving the points for the offer would put me over 100 points). People in this thread have said they received their 400 points for the Halo map pack, I still haven't and there isn't anything listed in my pending rewards that says I will even receive them.

Just want to warn people that this must be the most crappily run program ever done by a major business. You sign up and then wait for several days for them to "set up" your account (amazingly every other web site in the world can do it in a few seconds), then they send you an email saying your account is ready ... and of course it's not. Maybe a week later you can finally log in.

Then you earn some points, except they don't get get posted to your account for months. The official timeframe is 8-10 weeks after the promotion ends, so if it's a month long deal then you are already waiting 3 months. Except there are even more delays. Just look in their forums, post after post, hundreds of them and every one is the same .... points never got credited.

I'm not saying it's a scam, most people do eventually get their points , but what a fucking mess. Free is free, but this program really pushes the limits.

I didn't have a problem with the beta. I haven't had a problem with the current program. Once it was confirmed that points on renewals don't appear on your account until the renewal starts, it's been smooth sailing. I get my points, I use my points, I earn more.

I like it.

Safe to say that you weren't involved in the PS Rewards Beta.
Safe to say that you weren't involved in the PS Rewards Beta.
Not really the same; that was a worthless program but it never seemed badly run. I guess people got all upset because they canned it and went back to the drawing board, but at least they realized they had a problem. XBL Rewards is the opposite; the program itself is decent, but the web site seems to be administered by a bunch of monkeys who have time travelled here from the 1970s.

Rewards for August.

20 - survey
100 - 1st marketplace purchase
160 - buy 1600 worth of add-ons in August and get 160 points back
100 - netflix

Looks like I'll get the Arrival from Mass Effect (deal of the week) to count towards the 1600 points. I'll reach the 1600 points on DLC though as I only get DLC when it is at least half off.

Logged in today and found some weird stuff in my account. Had 890 points yesterday, checked and I have 1990 now. Apparently they credited the 220 MSP rewards I had earned for this month to my account 5 times. My girlfriend had her 100 points added 4 times. Just thought I'd give anyone else who was confused about this a heads up.

something with me this morning. I had 1310 points last night when I went to bed and I now have 2510 in my account. 1200 points, I'll take it!:bouncy:

EDIT- I wonder if they can just take these points back? I may need to just spend them quick like:twisted:

I had a total of 270 reward points pending from last month. I woke up to find i had over 1,000 microsoft points that i didn't have yesterday. I investigating making sure that someone didn't hack my account or something, and eventually found that the rewards xbox site glitches and gave me my reward FIVE times.

This is not necessarily a "DEAL", but CAGS may want to check their microsoft point balance to find a surprise increase in free points.

Update: Since i have posted this they have given me another 270 points, meaning i've gotten 6x the rewards from rewards.xbox.com

So far, this seems like it is not YMMV. If you had points pending, then you will have received the glitch and gotten a lot more microsoft points.

I don't think they ever did anything about people illegitimately getting points using that exploit awhile back, so I don't really see them doing anything about it now. They probably "lost" far fewer points on this anyway.

I asked this same question in the other thread.

This is a very good question. I have a higher balance of points than what they deposited, and i wanna finish getting the summer of arcade titles. So i can't really just go spend them crazily.

I'd say if they just added them and you didn't have any points before, use them. I contacted microsoft about this and the lady was like "WTF?" and said i could just leave it if i wanted. She made case notes about it saying i wouldn't be responsible for any charges or anything.

That's pretty awesome. All of my points went through last month, so I didn't have any to redeem on the 11th. :(

If they just happen to let this one slide, then I've got RE4 HD paid for September.

Yea, I had 3400 points and now its 5290! Now I'm supposed to get 400 points for upping my live sub and I have 290 points pending from rewards.

Lots of "270" points added. I figure ms will take those nice points away.
