YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Has anybody else found yellow tagged 3ds's at their store? I was looking to pick up the $107 2ds at my local target but they were all sold out
 
Kingdom hearts is 30 on amazon right now, tempted to push the purchase button, as a vita remake doesnt seem likely and fear it will become harder to find. Its not 17.99, but im that tempted as the 3ds is the only system i play at the moment, and im running dry.

I'm thinking there's been at least one reprint, maybe a second. Had several new copies of KH3D pass through my hands in the last couple months but I got two from this clearance that had something on them about limited edition AR cards which I've never seen which makes me think they're first run. Either through reprint or stock reallocation Amazon seems to have a lot of them right now.

Check Target this week though if you want to pick up the game. They have the B2G1 going on and while KH3D has dropped off the website I saw it in several stores (for $30 I think) last week. Even if you don't want three games they do prorated returns on these deals.

The one you checked was probably for the Wii U. The old Wii versions are $9.98. Unless stores got new stock in, I checked last week and only about 20 stores in the entire chain showed any inventory. Those that I did see only had quantities of one.

No. I'm not a big action figure person but everytime I try to find one seen on here they're long gone at the two TRU near me (South County and Sunset Hills.) Last time I tried was fall/winter 2013 when Shipwreck found the Miranda ME 3 figure for $10 in Cincinnati.

Only clearance deals I've hit big in the last couple of years at TRU was this deal on the Wii U Stereo Headset and winter 2012 getting Metro 2033 on 360 for $15. Stupid me sold Metro on Amazon that Christmas for $30 after buying the 360 download on sale to help THQ out. When Metro: LL came out last summer, sealed 360 Metro 2033 copies were going on Amazon for $80.

Did get the last PS4 camera in St. Louis that first week of December when they had 25% off accessories promotion for that one day. Tried the camera with family when I took the PS4 home for Christmas, tried it for streaming and realized I needed faster internet to stream anything that wasn't single-player only, then sold it on Amazon in February for $140 so I can't complain about missing the boat on Metro.

There's a 12" or 10" Sack boy marked $22.99 on clearance but I scanned it and it came up 60 cents.

Also got an Arkham City mini fathead for $1

And whomever was asking about the video game figures, I found and picked up 1 blue claptrap so feel free to PM me.

Wow, props on the Sackboy, that's awesome. I was the one that asked about the figures, and that Blue Claptrap was actually the only figure I've scored on clearance. LOL Thanks though. The quality of the figure is amazing, and has a lot more detail than I thought. I love NECA figures, but I'm not a big Aliens/Predator/Horror movie fan, which is what the majority of their figures are based on.

And thanks for the update MSUHitman. South County and Sunset Hills were the two TRU I hit up the most, I lived in Fenton, so neither were that far of a drive for me.

Got Kid Icarus with stand thingy for $23.99 today. Thanks to whoever mentioned that one, cuz it didn't have a green sticker, had to have em scan in.
 
According to my manager, clearance percentages are jumping up 10% tomorrow. So everything that was 40%, now 50%, and so on. Could just be for our store, but I'm not sure on that front.

What was sent out was vague. It mentioned additional price drops, but doesn't mention anything about percentages. Hopefully it is a percentage drop.

I can confirm this because, at least at the TRU I went to tonight, prices have already jumped an extra 10% off. I just got back and checked my receipt. I ended up getting this DS/3DS case that was supposed be 50% off (4.99 to 2.49) ringing up at 60% off (1.99). Also, I ended up getting Star Fox 64 3D for $15 when it was marked green (40% off) at $29.99.

Can you get price adjustments on clearance items at Toys R Us? By that I mean buying stuff and bringing it back after a drop and getting the difference. I don't know whether or not to wait on buying some 3ds accessories. Sorry if it's a dumb question >.<

I'm totally gonna stop in tomorrow and get an adjustment if that's the case.

The guy who works in the video game department is never aware of the sale prices and acts like I'm dumb for asking him to check the prices, even though in actuality, I'm the one that's more up to date on his products than he is. -_-
 
I remember the CC clearance... as the games were 4.99 in the system before the sale actually began, I racked up big time... for a couple years after there was this huge CC list of clearance games floating around on this website... the trick was finding a location of a store that was lax about marking down items... I remember the HUGE haul I got from a location an hour away one night, it was epic...

The 90% TRU sale was good too, though not as good... I remember picking through the stuff with another CAG

It honestly depends on your store. Policy on price adjustments are on sale items, not clearance and can be done up to 14 days after purchase. Some stores don't care and will adjust it as long as your receipt scans in the system. Try with an employee you're more friendlier with to get better results.

Not sure if you mean specific clearance events or closings but...as far as closings.

My KB was basically just gone...believe it was before 05 though could have sworn it was before CC at least in my area. One of those cases where everybody just went in and bought nearly everything of value right when the "clearance" started.

Same thing with my CC for the most part too. They put most of the prices back up to retail, marked them 10% off or whatever and everybody went ape**** and nearly cleared out the store. I found a few good deals towards the end like deals on cables, some more niche games and stuff like that. Still was fun going in and checking, even if it was just to laugh at people buying "clearance" stuff that was cheaper at the very same store just weeks earlier lol.

Clearance events I don't remember my KB ever having anything good but the CC regularly had those $5-$15 game clearance sales. Used to love going in and picking through the big bins they'd put out. Sigh...really wish they wouldn't have went out of business as towards the end the started doing some awesome preorder deals and stuff too.

Sonic... We are specifically talking about clearance sales... Not closures which at least in case of CC happened yeArs later, and from which I bought nothing...
 
Anyone else wondering why the title still says YMMV lol.. Anyway, gonna try to get a price adjustment with just the receipts today or tomorrow.. I'm within 14 days so I will update.

The Cherry Hill, NJ store has a few of the 2012 Nexus 7's, which may or may not ring up as $100. And a sole survivor of the TRU PC game blowout of 2012 (Rage).

The standard 3DS models sell for $169.99.

20% off of $169.99 is $135.99. Not a bad deal, really, that's just $6 more than the 2DS and especially since it's the red model, which should include a charging cradle.

Looks like B1G1 40% off on all games starting Sunday... anyone who's going to try for a return/re-buy price adjustment may want to wait.

 
It didn't work on the clearance games a few weeks ago when they had buy 1 get 1 40% off

Has been for some time and is dwindling down in numbers in the wild. if you find it for $20 that's a great price for the whole thing complete and NIB. Can either comfortably keep it at the price or turn around and sell it for $35-40.
