YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

I just happened to stumble across a copy of starfox and while I was buying it asked the guy if there were more and he smiled and said, "I bought them all." I've checked this TRU once a week they never had a copy there, hiding them out back?

Also, coincidence that all the preowned gamea are multiple copies of the sale games?

They'd have to pay you to play and even then, it'd be a waste of your time.
I think you're just fanboying hard on the original DMC or you hate this type of game, I don't know cause I don't know you. However I will say that I had the opportunity to play this game because it was free on PS+ and must admit that I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I am one of those who liked the original Dante and thought the idea of a reboot was bad, but this game has its moments and is certainly worth a play through. It is certainly not the best game out there, but if you like game such as Darksiders or Bayonetta, chances are you will find this to be a decently enjoyable substitute until something else comes around. Play the game for what it is, a game.

So anyone who picked this up at $1 or even $10, it is worth the money. I had picked up a physical copy myself but traded it away to another CAG for another game on TRU clearance.

On an unrelated note, I still have copy of ZombiU if someone wants it, just PM me.

Will be going in tonight to try to get a price adjustment on a couple of receipts, wish me luck!

Also, someone asked which NYC TRU I went to but I couldn't find the post, it was the one near Kings Plaza. That store is pretty much picked clean as well, el hoardo definitely got around to hitting even this store that's so out of the way for most NYC heads.

I'm half joking with those posts, but I went far beyond giving that piece of crap a chance. Check my trophies. It has game breaking glitches with a terrible lock-on system and stupid combat design. Stun-lock with angel, demon dodge, and arbiter smash will pretty much destroy everything and get you SSS rankings. DT is practically useless and the story was a terrible one to match. Between the game/developers trolling you with Dmc callbacks, bullet abortion, and lack of any real character development, I'd say DMC is a pretty shitty game with little to no redeeming qualities.

I haven't touched the game since the Vergil dlc was released, but I'm honestly curious as to where I'm currently ranked because I broke the top 50 on a bunch of leaderboards.

On the brightside, I manage to find a new secret character in the game. Too bad it wasn't playable and froze the game.

what did you have in mind to trade?

Decided to stop by my local TRU and low and behold, they had a single copy of Castlevania for 3DS, picked it up for 1.50 and Gardening Mama DS for 50 cents.  I didn't know what else might be on clearance so I came back to this thread to see what else might be worth geting if I can find it still be behind the glass. Any recommendations for things to check out tomorrow?

If anyone wants anything from this sale, grab it by close Sunday 8/10. Starting 8/11 some things will be taken off, others destroyed, and others donated to charity.

Has anybody been in any of the Sacramento area stores? I'm wondering if I should bother wasting my gas.

Closest store (Bloomington, IL) had tons of Sing It and a few copies of that Jonas brothers game.

I grabbed the 3DS Skylanders Giants Portal Owner pack and Hot Pixel (PSP). Total was $3.50. That's all they had that wasn't shovelware.

You didn't miss much. Even when the sale started, that store had very little .

My final haul if it ends today. If I'd had known how easy it was going to be to get receipts price adjusted I would have been buying way more a month ago. I'm probably only keeping Jak and Dax Vita and 1 of the cabelas games. I got $46 back on an adjustment today too.

at this point employees are probably hoarding shit in the back or someone cleared them out... kudos to those who got the Wii U's when they first hit clearance.   I really wished the Ducktales Remastered discs (not coded) were on clearance.  two TRU's in my area had them at full price (19.99).

Does anybody know if the HDTVs are still on clearance? I'd get that Hello Kitty one, if It's only $5.

I know its a video game website, but surprised more people didn't talk about the Playmobil deals.

Today I found a Playmobil giant stable ($149.99 marked to $2.50) and Santa's home ($49.99; marked down to $39.98 and then down to $2). After a $5 reward certificate, got both for $4.91 with tax. Somebody clearly hid them, since they were behind a bunch of other sets.

In total I found around $1700 in Playmobil and paid $85.

Two things one my kids love Lego but I loved Playmobil and occasionally buy the solo figures for display because they are radical. Second Leela was pretty wacky.

Wish I had know about this. Those would have been great christmas presents.

I grabbed a few last minute things tonight.

Found 2 of the blue Muppets puppets and 1 outfit. a couple copies of Goldeneye 007, some disney cds and a couple random figures that rang up like 10 cent each

I need to get a smartphone, so I can hop on CAG when I drop into game stores. That or check the deals forum more frequently. Dropped in TRU on a lark and saw a couple of 3DS skylander things 95% off. Grabbed 'em.

Did a price adjustment in Cerritos before the store close and got back $12.46. I then walked next door for happy hour and used it at Ajito Japanese Grill lol.

I did get the email that today is the last day. I checked some of the stores earlier last week and they had pretty much cleared out all the stuff. The only thing left on normal clearance is that Kre-O Enterprise/Klingon D7 from Star Trek Into Darkness...is the $47 worth the set?

the game is actually really difficult lol
Sometimes games are difficult, other games are evil because they don't tell you how you actually control the freaking thing. It took me about a half an hour just to wake up the other two Jonas Bros. Anyone do a Super Jonas Bros. parody yet?

How come even though you counted them I had to count them again to see if you were right? If I see this game next time I go, I'll grab one. Just have to make sure it's not the last game I play on my 3ds. Imagine getting street passed with that as your last game played?
Too late for me I think. Derp. Better go back and play Bravely Default.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QubGv9tlVs
Pfffffft...forget that Taylor, ever wonder what the Mirror Universe TS looks like?

VVVVVVVV

just a heads up, clearance (at least at my store) ended today, and then on monday all the items are considered a "free item".
Not all the items will be on the giveaway promotion- they're taking quite a bit of things off the sale (back to normal price), or donating them to charity (although this seemed to be mostly bikes) before the free item promo starts. Videogames should be fine with very little taken off (a bit over a dozen titles tops it looked like from the list I saw).

Also, I don't know the complete details of how the giveaway works, but I think you still need to buy an item to get one free.

Umm...can you explain? Like free free?
Walk into store, take items desired and walk out. If stopped/gaffled/arrested, tell them "but they're clearance items and now they're free, I read so online it ~has~ to be true".

Anyone going to take their loot in for attempts to price adjust to "free" (with purchase)?

So clearance is over? Darn, had crap to do Saturday or I'd have visited some out of the Way TRUs....
The email I got yesterday specifically states that today is the last day of savings, everything at 95% off.

Vigilante has a point, though, in that there probably isn't much left of note on the gaming front. The last one I went into had a ton of copies of Gremlins Gizmo for the DS, but not much else when it came to discounted video games.

Eh, I'm mostly just looking for any leftovers with a Club Nintendo code.  Gotta visit my brother today so I can hit up two TRUs on my way there.

Thanks for the info, guys!

Well the good news on this is, re-seller hoarders aren't very smart and throw all of their shit up online immediately.  Which means you'll see the prices for everything that was clearanced out plummet on ebay and amazon for the newt couple weeks.  Pick it up off an auction site for just slightly over what they paid for it because they are competing to sell their crap off and in 2-3 weeks the prices will be back up.

Okay, so. The free item thing. What's happening is this - some things will be donated (not much on from what I saw, btw. These are coming up as 0.03 on price change reports), some will be destroyed (mainly candy and register lane shite, these are coming up as 0.02 on price change reports), and others will be free with any purchase (these are coming up as 0.04 on price change reports and there are a TON) and will also be able to be bought freely, if you wish.  My store has 34(!) pages of price change reports with this stuff on it. We were one of the store that had the most clearance out of the company, so we STILL have a lot of shit left...I went through and pulled two carts of stuff by just looking at the price change reports.

Also, yes, today is the last day of 95% off.

So, if you see some large dude with long hair and bewildered eyes tomorrow, that's probably me trying to deal with price changes.

If there's a way you could post that list here it would probably be immensely appreciated.
