YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

The best stuff's probably gone but the blue highlights off the top of my head are the original Sony Wireless Headset, 12 month XBL starter kit (think that was blue not green), 360 essentials pack (3 month live, controller, HDMI and remote), and some DS games with a figure.
Nothing remains, then. I swear, they need to let me in the back though, there's a lot of games there.

I don't know if all TRU stores are the same, but at my old store games were kept in the small room in electronics and not our back of house with the toys and everything else. We actually had quite a limited stock of games other than many copies of games like CoD and Halo. Games came in small crates through UPS or Fed Ex filled with mostly Leap Frog shit and headphones/phone cases lol.

Last green tag sale back in 2005 after 90% the stuff pennied out shortly after and people were able to actually get load of stuff for pennies but that was 9 years ago doubt that will happen again

I currently work at a TRU, so yeah, it still works that way. Electronics/vg/consoles are kept in a room near an office and Rzone. I've been there once or twice, but I'm mainly at the registers. Never worked Rzone, and believe me, the flak they get isn't worth it.

I picked up Lego Chima for vita today. Was not tagged at all, so does anyone know what color it was?

First lego vita game I've ever purchased since well... they're all shit knockoffs of the console versions. Yet since Chima is a handheld only game, for $8 I figured why not add it to the vita collection.

Well it does say on your receipt right underneath the item.

Just went yesterday and picked up a vita ac adapter, Hot Shots Golf, Wipeout, Rayman Origins and Lumines for $50 and change. The AC Adapter was the only thing marked blue.

Didn't know Blue was up to 70. Might have to make a stop on the way home from work.

Picked up Ico/SotC for $8.  Although it's cover was sliced once or twice, but meh.  I got old MAG cases for stuff like that.

Every time I do a "price adjustment" they do a return/rebuy.. This technically allows me to just keep coming back and get a price adjustment right? Since the purchase date has changed and is still within the 30 days?

I took a sick day today for work and decided to check out the Toys R Us near my house. Big goose egg.

Some noteworthy items were StarFox for 3DS and Ico/SotC for PS3.

The rest I didn't care for and 80% of whatever's in the OP list isn't at that Toys R Us I went to. Oh well.

No, if you found 2 items, that is not a goose egg, that is a '2'. And your work called and said to quit faking being sick just to go to ToysRUs.

But what do you expect if you didn't check it out until 2 months after the sale started?

This clearance has been kind to my 3DS! Picked up Kid Icarus a couple weeks ago after seeing how low the price has been on this thread. Got it for 14.99! Funny thing - I asked for a price check from an employee, and he simply looked thru the glass and saw the sticker that still said 39.99, and said "well it looks like it is 39.99" and then turned like he was walking away. I asked him to check at the register for the clearance price, and he was surprised that it rang up so low.

I picked up Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 for 9.99 two days ago.

Neither game was clearance-tagged, so I had to ask for it to be rung up to properly check the price. Also, by the by, both of these games were scored at 2 separate Houston TX area stores. Still looking around for that elusive Star Fox 64 3D!

Thanks guys for keeping this thread alive with all the new prices. Some real gems to nab super-cheap!

Ok, that was a little extreme but I didn't take off of work just to go to Toys R Us for the record.

It was a goose egg for me because I already have those 2 items. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

Also, sorry if it sounded like I was complaining. No need to take this to another level. Jeez, people these days. -_-

Isn't the Turtle Beach headset for the Wii U a blue tag? That would make it 7.50. I might have to grab it for that price. Also the Nyko extended battery for the Wii U gamepad is blue tagged right?

Your mom called and said to stop being such a dick on the internet.

But with that big thick cock in her mouth, it sounded more like "Sthbobp blinng susshh uh *HURK*... digk am thuh indernethh."

Alright kids, let's stop all this bickering and get back on topic.

If blue is at 70%, I might just buy the Infinty cases to store all the figures and maybe extras for when the Marvel ones are released.

I stopped by TRU and asked for a price guarantee on Wonderful 101 which I price match purchased back in February. The rep told me that they do not perform multiple price matches on items, and that price guarantees are only done within 7 days of purchase. I then asked if I could just do a return/ re-purchase, to which she pointed to the policy board behind her stating that returns could only be done within 30 days on video games. I pointed out to her that the 30 day policy applied to video game hardware and that the policy for software was 90 days, to which she exclaimed "Fine, I'll just do it!" to which I replied "I'm just playing by the rules"....So much for "Hassle-Free Returns".

The uBoost? IIRC it's $24.98 and blue tagged.

Don't get the internal nyko battery; it's a pile of poop. uBoost is awesome though.

Games are absolutely 90 days, hardware is 30. She was just being a douche (or needed one) ;)

Are they constantly tagging new items for this clearance cycle?  Just wondering if possibly some of the older Vitas might show up eventually.

This reminded me about something earlier in this thread. The return policy for games is 90 days.

I was under the impression it was 30 due to processing a return and the system would not allow a game to be returned at about 40 days. Maybe it was just this particular game, I don't know. Maybe some games may be coded in the system so that they mistakenly fall into a catagory that has a 30 day return policy.

I was just told that bringing in so many receipts was depriving other guests of the customer service desks attention. lol

Got about 40$ back so far, I noticed that the exchange receipts seem to lose the blue/green tag which is annoying.

WHOA... an employee told you that? How unprofessional.
