I'm sorry, BV, I have to do this...as this thought just occurred to me while addressing the concept of "nano blitzing" in the JV League. How is moving your LB back and forth before the snap any different from somebody taking their kick returner and moving him backward, and then running forward so he's at full speed when he catches the ball? Does this not prove that players who are already moving get a much better jump? That's something that the various nano blitzing videos on Youtube actually do show. It's not just that it confuses the AI, but the players are much quicker off the snap because they're already moving. If we're going to use the argument that "nobody does that" to ban the kick returning play, I feel like the same thing should apply to continuously moving ANY player pre-snap.

You don't really at all, but it's fine.

Defensive players are allowed to be in motion at the snap in the NFL, it's only the offense which has to be stationary (only one offensive player can move at a time once the QB is under center IIRC). You see defenders trying to time the snap count all the time. Guys obviously don't move laterally like I do, but they certainly fake in and out towards the line all the time. You're right that somebody already in motion is going to be moving faster than somebody who is stationary, but that's not an exploit, it's just physics.

There's a difference between what I do, which is manually moving one linebacker, and shaking the entire set back and forth continuously, which is known as shake blitzing, and is considered a form of nano blitzing. The AI isn't capable of blocking that, which is why it's banned, my motion of the linebacker doesn't provide the same advantage. I've seen both in action, they're not comparable, we already discussed the differences between them months ago.

As for the kickoff return, my recollection of the rule was only that you couldn't run out the back of the endzone and then forward, which is what people were doing. I don't think we ever said that the returner had to be completely stationary, after all shorter kicks are often fielded in stride automatically. Returners field kicks in stride all the time in the NFL.

it was.... my squad just seemed out of it for a while, then in the 3rd i think, his QB went down with a broken jaw and that gave us new life... i hate playing Ramesu cuz we have a similar style and it makes it seem like he's in the huddle when we call plays... pulled this one out tho.

The 49ers are still undefeated at home...

Seconded. With the Texans loss, the Pats can now clinch a first-round bye before even entering their brutal home stretch if they win next week against the Bills.

May need a sub for my game. No response to my PM or xbox live messages.

Apparently he's been on CAG.

If it's pushed to tomorrow, it will have to wait until the late evening.

Jets - 52
Steelers - 28

Jahvid Best had a game...lol. 18 carries, 381 yds, 5 TDs. The Steelers kept pace most of the game though, even coming as close as 38-28, when they attempted (and recovered) a surprise onside kick with 0:51 left in the 3rd quarter. This move was a bit questionable to me, but I guess I can understand the thought behind it. pitfall probably didn't feel very confident in his defense. But it definitely caught me by surprise. Anyway, gg, pitfall. Best was just ridiculous today.

yes he was... he's had butterfingers the past couple games but he has 6 picks on the season and he pretty much shuts down his side of the field... it's allowed me to play on other positions besides S when i'm on D
