Funeral for a Friend - Hours
What do you think of the new Funeral for a Friend CD? I noticed in the old thread that you bought it. I also bought it and although I think it is a solid group of songs it is severely lacking the awesomeness of the first CD (and the EPs). There's practically no "screaming" (not that you need that to make a good CD or anything, it was just their style) on the new one and it leans way more to the pop side if things not that that's bad or anything but it was just unexpected. There also aren't as many catchy guitar riffs/hooks. I don't know I'm sure it will grow on me but so far there's maybe only one or two songs on the new one that I think are better than the worst song on the last one. What do you think?

It's ok. Honestly I haven't listened to it enough to really offer a well-formed opinion, but my first impression was that it wasn't as good as their other stuff.

The Bravery's self-titled album, I think.

The Devil's Rejects soundtrack a couple days prior to that. I gotta find the original score soundtrack, too.

"war profiteering is killing us all" the suicide machines.
a little screamo but the punk/ska inspired music out weighs the screaming.

i traded in for Green Day "American Idiot" and Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon"
a little late i know, but at least i caught on.

Foo Fighters - In Your Honor. Listened to it once and I wasn't too impressed. I'll have to give it a couple more tries before I determine it sucks, though.
Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Goes Numb (I think thats the title)
that is awesome they rock, i bought their cd in june. it rocks.

Can you recommend any similar type bands?

Right now I'm into From Autumn To Ashes, Finch, Emery, A Static Lullaby, Recover, Deftones, Alexisonfire, System of a Down, etc. among hundreds of others but I guess I'm looking for some "screamo" music to work out to. Thanks!

I own pretty much all of the CDs I think I'm going to buy so I don't buy too many anymore. Last ones were:

Dream Theater - Octavarium
Jackson Browne - Running on Empty
Jethro Tull - some bootleg

Shakira - Fijación Oral Vol. 1 (dual disc)

Honestly I don't really listen to many similar bands. Does My Chemical Romance count? Or maybe Thursday?

I love disc 1 - disc 2 isn't nearly as good but I still like it.

Yeah, actually. "This Is It" has 19 songs on one disc, and "Who Cares A Lot?" has 18 on two discs (which is odd). Some of the same tracks, but both have some the other doesn't.

Edit: Never noticed there was a "Who Cares A Lot?" album with extra tracks...
Who Cares A Lot?

Damn.
