Responding to both parts, first of all I agree that Brawls online was pretty bad but that said I still played it a lot and had fun with it. As for my friends on the Wii U, It's a three way mix of other people from CAG, some of my real life friends since we all picked one up for Monster Hunter, and some people on Miiverse since while I haven't in a while I really enjoy posting/reading through there and some people add me due to that I guess lol

Luckily I'm not a subscriber and I don't play PSM games so I got my ticket and I'm done!

So does anybody actually use home? Its just seems like creepy people hang out and follow around female avatars

I'm hoping they use the extra money to upgrade servers so downloads and updates aren't so painfully slow.

My download speeds are fine and I'm not even really near a major metro area or anything.

I've seen networking issues cause slower downloads, wonder if it's just bad where you are or it's something in your network setup.

If anything, I hope they use the extra money to update the fucking store on time. ;)

Nah. Xbox and everything on my computers downloads faster than stuff from PSN. And my internet is 10mbps. Plus it's not like its just me. Forums are full of posts bitching about how much slower games download on PSN vs XBL all this gen.

Game updates get hit by that and the fact that's my are a few hundred meds when it's odd for a 360 fame gets an update update that's more than 20-30 megs with many just being a few megs.

Since the PS4 will be my only console next gen most likely, I hope they improve that kind if stuff. I've had a few times I wanted to game for an hour or less and it gets wrecked by a game update taking 20-30 minutes to download and install.

But yeah, the store as a whole needs an overhaul in design, on time updates etc. to.

We decided on Skype that PSN+ was already worth it.

And with everything Sony did at the conference, they can have this one.

Speaking of being worth it...

Is X-Com still on PSN+?

I may have to jump on it for that.

How big is the Home download these days?

Initial download is like 48mb

When I deleted it after getting the swag, it was just under 3gb.

X-Com showed up on PSN on Tuesday, so yeah, it's there. And should be for awhile.

I'm with Rai Rai on the conflicted part, but I don't care as much since I already have a PS+ sub through 2015 and the benefits of the service are above and beyond XBL Gold.

As far as PSN goes, I don't have those problems. Then again, I configured my router so that the ports were forwarded and such instead of hoping that UPnP handled it properly for me. Sly Cooper 4 downloaded for both PS3 and Vita in less than 4 hours and they were over 20gb total. I know people bitch about it all over the internet, but I've seen people who get competent speeds too, so it seems very hit and miss.

Well that was annoying.

Particularly those ten minutes I spent creating the character when I didn't have to but did anyways because I had to give her scene hair.

I don't know what you are talking about, but I will say that I spend way too much time on character creators myself

I could sometimes spend up to a good hour in a character creator.

Fun fact, I get extremely aroused while doing so.

 
Gotcha, I made my character in Home a long time ago, barely use it though...I did for a while like when it launched just because then last time I went on there was so much new stuff that I didn't really know what to do so I just stopped lol.

But yeah, I have no problem cracking an hour making a character myself either. I usually make males though, so I do not get extremely aroused lol

 
Oh, yeah I guess I forgot to write that in the message section of the friend request, my bad, but yeah I'm Xeroxian on there. The only account I have that's not MoCiWe since I also have that name on a different PS account but it kept having problems so I made a new one.

So, I finished DOA5's story. Definitely the weakest story of the series, but still decent. Most hated part was the English voice acting. It was so, so much worse than it ever has been before. It was especially bad hearing Troy Baker as Ryu since he sounded exactly like he did in Bioshock. Dude has a Nolan North/Steve Blum thing going on.

I have the ports forwarded etc. for both my 360 and ps3. So I guess it is just hit or miss. Things take around twice as long to download on ps3 as in 360 or my pcs most of the time for whatever reason.

Any full games I just download over night. The game updates are the bigger issue and they just need to did a way to make those files smaller as there's no reason games updates/patches should me a few hundred megs when 360 ones are usually small and take like 30 seconds. Hopefully that was just related to the ps3 being hard to program for etc. and won't be an issue on ps4 since its standard architecture and thus easy to program for. The ps4 and Xbone being pretty much the same architecture wise should help too as ports will be more similar and hopefully update file sizes etc. will be more similar.
 
Is anyone else burned out on E3? Worst media coverage ever, I think. The gaming media just keeps getting worse. Gamers make for some bad journalists. Poorly written stories with half-assed research they pulled off a wiki page. There's a few good gaming journalists, but most are no better than what some fat kid living in his mom's basement posts on his Facebook page. Pathetic.

Edit: Goddamnit. Just read it and saw that it was Baker. My interest in MGSV is quickly dropping now. Kojima needs to stop replacing his actors!

Yeah Josh was great. Troy baker no lie made me switch to japanese voices because his voice was so bad.

His voice is just to soft to play strong male lead characters.
