Has anyone here played Resident Evil 6 yet?  I loved RE4 and never got past an hour in RE5.  I've read very mixed things about RE6.  It's $12 on GG UK site with 20% discount, and considering this is Capcom I'm tempted to bite.  Any opinions?

I'm in the same boat. I'd love to play Dishonored, but I can't justify spending $10 for a game that will probably go on the backlog and could possibly see a GOTY edition with all the DLC included.
My rule of thumb = 75% off or better is the "okay" price for backlogging games.

Dishonored is just NOT a game that should go into the backlog.

If you are actually buying it this time around (below 75% off), play it ASAP.

I should note: Dishonored is my favorite game of 2012.

Since it's going to be a few slow hours for Flash sale, I would like to thank everyone here at the steam thread at CAG. You guys have helped me become a poster and less of a lurker. Also thanks for reading this sad excuse for a post XD

Is the Killing Floor on sale the main game or an expansion? Also, are people still playing it?
It's for 99% of the game. All the maps, all the modes. Just not all of the weapons: there are a bunch of skins for your character, golden guns, and two "community weapons" packs with a few guns in them (the golden guns and character skins are purely cosmetic, and you don't need the weapons pack DLC... although it is nice to have.)

And yes, people do still play it. Quite a lot of people, actually.

Ooh, $12? That's 70% off. I may consider this, if I can get someone to buy it for me.

Edit: Found someone, thanks a lot!

Hey guys how've you all been? you guys enjoying these sales and of course all them CCCCAAAARRRRRDDDDDDZZZZZ? Bought a few games myself any of you think the Quake or Wolfenstein packs will go cheaper because of dailies or flash sales? Kinda waiting on those.

There is so many things to consider when buying games nowadays. I worry it may be cheaper the next day, it may have a complete screw you early buyer sucker edition coming, it may be free on ps+ next month, etc.

Buy it if you are going to play it TODAY.

Not a bad game. I was a bit disappointed, but overall I wouldn't say it deserved the hate it got. You get quite a bit of play time out of it after you play all the scenarios (Leon, Chris, Ada, Jake). The best campaign hands down [for me at least] was Leon's. I paid ~$20 and thought it was worth it at that, and even though I'm not a diehard RE fan per se, I'm a fan all the same so my opinion may be a bit biased. That being said, yes RE 4 was fantastic, RE 5 was very good, and RE 6 is also quite good. If I were to rank the three it would go: RE4 > RE5 ≧ RE6 (RE 5 has a slight edge, although it would have blown RE 6 out of the water if Capcom had excluded Sheva).

Just my 2 cents.

I dunno why mods scare people so much. I pretty much install mods on every game I have if possible (I just don't install heavy game-changing mods on my first playthrough, usually, keeping it to texture stuff and game fixes).
I built a new PC and am not looking forward to reinstalling and tweaking the mods for Elder Scrolls IV.

I do love how easy it is to move Steam game installs to a different place on the same PC or a different PC.

If it just as good as RE5, it's not worth enough.  Re5 was pretty bad in my opinion, boring game, stupid AI, easy bosses, few cool senquences but that's it.

Made my first summer sale purchase with Fallout New Vegas Ultimate for $5.
Feels awesome don't it?

That, and just FYI guys you also get 2 guest passes with so you can have a friend that is not sure if he wants it. You can give him the pass and play together.

Playing Skyrim and other Bethesda games with mod is the first reason I want to build a new PC. Bliss.

Sounds like the sequel to Surgeon Simulator.

"Doctor, you stand here today charged with crimes against medicine. Prepare to stand... Organ Trial!"

Edit: RE6 or DMC? Both are $12 for me on GG and I might buy one but I'm not buying both.
Well, Personally I would say DMC, fighting is fluid, some of the levels look really cool, the difficulties offer good variety. Later on you get 2 angel weapons, 2 demon weapons and 3 guns to choose from. It is a solid game I would recommend highly. Only turn off would be if you hate punk style, or creepy as fuck bosses. Dante is kinda a pain in the ass, Vergil was well acted. Overall a 9/10
Edit: forgot a period, Syntax error

Gonna pass on Natural Selection II. I mean it looks alright but it's the type of game where 6 months I can see there being no players. With the state of my backlog, I need games that in 6 months will have still a decent community.

I wasn't too impressed with it anyway during the free weekend it had.

I got RE6 for $13 Canadian. I am excite. As long as its at least as good as 5 but with better controls I'll be satisfied. I like that it has 4 different campaigns, lots of variety. Hope I don't live to regret this, at least it was fairly cheap!

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  Guess I'll wait on RE6 since I probably can't play it anytime soon.  I was just hoping it'd be a return to form (RE4) but I keep reading it's strayed further and further away from what made RE4 so good.

As for DMC, I highly recommend it for the $12 and change on GG.  The story and characters are as dumb as ever, but I absolutely loved the gameplay and some of the wild environments they place you in.  I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it, but at $10-12 or so, you'll definitely get your money's worth.  I found myself skipping many cutscenes like I did with Bayonetta though.  Why must some of the best combo-friendly action games have the most grating and atrocious characters and dialogue?

Ummm, I believe KOTOR II was $2.50 before this Flash Deal, since the summer sale started. I remember because I kept notice of how much it was, as I was planning to get it. I guess I'll get it now and lose 90 cents instead of risking it going up to $10 after the flash deal.
KOTOR 1 & 2 were $2.49 each during the most recent winter sale.

Sounds like the sequel to Surgeon Simulator.

I'd be going to trial a lot. Most recently for deciding to see how far I could throw the replacement heart.

Yeah it seems like something I will wait to buy off an indie bundle. Now Organ Trail, I had to buy that at $1.24. I mean it's Oregon Trail but with Zombies. Can't say no to that.
No one should say no to Organ Trail. I have wasted much time with the flash version....far too much time. Well worth the 1.24 I spent on it.

Well I played an hour of Organ Trial and I have no clue what the fuck I am doing in that game.
:wall: Whoops I didn't catch that when I typed it. Organ Trail

I'm contemplating grabbing Castle Crashers and would be up for starting a 4-pack if 3 other people are interested.  Ends up being $2.81 per person.  PayPal is the easiest way to do it.  Just shoot me a PM.

That's not a weird question. Both are great games. Dust is single-player only, while Castle Crashers is mostly multiplayer-focused, so it all boils down to preference.
Exactly, if you want some co-op fun then Castle Crashers is what your looking for. I only played with 1 other person a couple days ago and man it was very fun.

Where did you guys get DMC for $12?

That's odd. its showing £16.06 for me even after discount.
Works here. Just bought it.

Woooo so glad Deus Ex won the community vote considering Monaco lost to Natural Selection I was worried AC3 would of won. Cant wait to buy Deus Ex at 9pm!

I was about to make a snarky remarks about how Deus Ex is "never" on sale. But, hey, at least someone is happy and I wasn't going to buy any of the games up for vote anyway.

There is an entire thread devoted to what you are trying to accomplish. Just a thought.

Yeah, I already have Deus Ex (and I'm apparently one of the only people in the world who didn't care for it) but I voted for it anyway. I would love AC3, but not at $24.

85% will always beat out 40%
