why even hide your nipples at that point? humans are fucked in the head
I kind of wish it was on steam, as absurd as the idea would be, given the game's content. Could you imagine the cards or the backgrounds? Hell, even the emotes could just be different character's boobs.

According to my Groupees email there is a Build a Doujin 2 bundle coming next week.

Might be old news but the following Steam keys are now available too:
Be Mine 6: Gorky 17, and Enclave Gold
Build a Greenlight 2: Gravi

Looks like I did not buy BM6 or Gravi. That'll teach me!
damn it, need to just start buying all of them, seems like everything gets greenlit.

Lets Build a Doijin Bundle 2 is going to be a instabuy for me.. because of one game..

Higurashi When They Cry

Probably the best visual novel that has been in any indie bundle.

Anyway, full list:

eXceed 2nd - Vampire REX
eXceed 3rd - Jade Penetrate Black Package
HellSinker
Higurashi When They Cry
KAMUI
ARMED SEVEN
Hatoful Boyfriend

This is great news. I was actually part of a sub group 5 or so years ago where we were attempting to translate the Higurashi visual novel.. I think we only got so far as releasing the first 3 or 4 chapters before I had to move and real life got in the way. This is definitely a day 1 purchase for me :)

I know Hatoful Boyfriend might look dumb but the game was actually really good. Especially a certain story line that I won't spoil. Definitely give it a chance you will be surprised.

I always wonder what the signature of yours is about. Now I know :)

Exceed cards just started to rise in value again, too. Unpacked my booster and sold the cards for about 80 cents each last week. Fully expecting the prices to tank. Bundle = disappointment.

So XIII Century: Gold Edition is unlocked for the 1C bundle as a bonus now. Did anyone else have issues with the Steam Key? I added it and it said activation successful but didn't give an option to install and it isn't in my library now.

Try restarting your client. It activated fine for me. (Didn't feel like downloading it yet.)

For those thinking about gambling on possible Greenlight games, Kamui is the only one on there, and it's as part of a trilogy so who knows if we'd even get keys. (Though the fact that they link the Greenlight page makes it a pretty good possibility.)

Also despite that tweet above I'm pretty sure we'll still get Higurashi keys in the end. Hopefully.

I'm pretty sure that we'll get Steam keys for Kamui if its greenlit, and I think the chances of it getting greenlit are pretty high considering its Nyu Media. RefleX, another game part of the trilogy, is promised to have Steam keys if greenlit in the Indie Gala bundle.

I screwed up the quote for When They Cry.. it's not a tweet, it's a quote from ShiftySlug.

Hatoful Boyfriend yesss
Um...yeah. If you can run it.

Just downloaded and tried to run it:

First off, all japanese text, along with a great Japanese Error message. From the website FAQ, apparently its because:

Errors that can not be opened habataki.wav

This error is displayed when the QuickTime is not working properly.

Please install the QuickTime version of the appropriate reference to the item above

So above that is says:

It does not move to put a QuickTime

For Win, it does not work if you update to QT7.7 later by environment.
We ask for your use of QuickTime Alternative or 7.6.9.
You may also want to solve by introducing QuickTime6.5.

Ummm...so apparently I need to install Quicktime (ummm...why do I need Quicktime to "render" a .wav file?.....whatever...Strike 1), but not the latest version of course (Strike 2) and also from my investigation, it requires an English patch, otherwise all in game text (including menu text) will be in Japanese. Found the english patch (apparently put out on mediafire...dead links) from a site, copy English over Japanese lang file. Fire it up, get different error.... Strike 3.

75 cent Japanese game, you have defeated me! <Falls on sword>

They're not selling an English game?! That's so... amazing.

Hm...

Are the only games that have been in other bundles here the exceed games (Indiegala Summertime)? As I'm wondering if Hellsinker or KAMUI appeared elsewhere but can't remember.

Japanese indie development is still trapped in the Win 3.1 era with the quaint idea that even on powerful computers games would have trouble running unless you fiddled JUST RIGHT.

It's agitating. A lot of what comes out of there is interesting, the idea that there might be hundreds of closet Caves, closet Kamiyas, closet Treasures in Japan. But like most indie games it's largely shit except for those moments that give you faith.

Oh yeah, Exceed 3rd is fantastic. Reflex is really good too but I don't think the whole trilogy is in this bundle.

What do you think of Lost Planet?

Wanted to like it so much I've bought it more times than I can count. Teeters constantly on the edge of good but never makes the plunge. Firefights are boring, plodding, weak, and slow. Bosses generally entertaining but not quite enough. Feels like less of a chore just to run through the levels ignoring akrid chasing you.

Colonies Edition boss rush is the only way to play. Skip everything else.

Sequel doubled down on the "almost" with so much ridiculous fluff without bolstering the core.

Man I sure hope they get greenlit I've been eyeing this trilogy greenlight page for awhile now...

Basically what he is saying is that it sucks.

Considering this is RollingSkull, that's fairly high praise. It's not quite Mooby saying "It's alright" (AKA, best game of all time), but still.

Can we just settle this for good.

Lost Planet = Sucks

Sucks = Lost Planet

In fact, when you type in Lost Planet CAG should replace it with Sucks and when you type in Sucks CAG should replace it with Lost Planet.

If Lost Planet was any good nobody would have lost it to begin with.

Sweet, scooped the Doujin Bundle 2. Thanks OP!

I hope you bought the inter-species Pigeon fucking game, so you can help me install it, convert it to (Pigeon) English and play it... Purely for research of course...

Not only that, a ton of Japanese developers (both big and small) simply REFUSE to sell their games on Steam in Japan! Hell, those Exceed games? You can't buy them in Japan. The only way to get them is either as gifts, or as CD keys. I don't understand Japanese developers.

Oh and there's no way in hell I'm letting QuickTime near my PC in anything other than a VMWare emulated PC. I already dealt with it ten years ago, and that was more than enough.

Installing QuickTime Alternative let me play Hatoful Boyfriend and actually the group who did this I don't believe they translated the menus in the program for saving and such so you have to experiment with those. I'm surprised they would decide to sell it like this (The one who is selling it and the Groupees for offering it), as it seems like a pain to get working for some and I don't like quicktime either even in the alternative form. Hellsinker is also done by the same translation group so I'll see if there's any issues with that game and report here if needed. I am sadly excited to play Hatoful Boyfriend now that it's running!

Edit: Hellsinker works fine but dang pretty dang doujin.....didn't really understand what I was doing but it was ok.
