I have taken the liberty of linking many of the games and the price they WILL be.
I tried to limit the ones to the games that are at the lowest they have been.

I dont get what people are complaining about? Usually gamestop has the worst deals and the fact we are seeing Battlefield 4 for $30 should get us excited because that likely means stores like Walmart and Bestbuy might be selling games for $25.

Most of the deals they price matched last year popped up multiple times for lightning deals during Black Friday and during the weekend. Also, a number of the items actually came back in stock at the Black Friday prices and weren't lightning deals. I had no problem whatsoever last year getting anything I wanted on Amazon.
I had the same experience and didn't have any problems getting what I wanted from Amazon last year and I had to do it while I was at work using my phone. The best things sold out pretty quickly, but as long as you were ready when the lightning deals changed, it wasn't hard to get stuff.

No it has nothing to do with hating on GS. $40 on brand new titles isn't a good deal. I think most people were looking for $30 on all recent releases. Maybe $35 at the most, but $40 is something many could have gotten within a month of release or even launch day (BB's promo). They at least have BF4 for that price for those that care. IMO, for BF, any software offer should be at least 50% off to be really enticing. The PS3 bundle looks good but with the PS4 out, how many people on here are really looking for PS3s? In all honesty, the $30 Plus is the only thing Id consider getting from this ad. Nothing else is really too aggressive in terms of compelling me into the store.
Yeah. I'm surprised people who frequent this site are so excited about this ad. There are definitely some good deals here, but a lot of these deals seem like stuff you would see in your average weekly ad. Deals in Gamestop's weekly ad throughout the year are generally weaker than other retailers and I think this BF ad reflects that. I expect Best Buy to do better.

Yeah last year Amazon was horrible, I happened to be in my uncle's house where he doesn't have my Internet speeds. I camped for NBA but it sold out right before my eyes in several seconds. Ended up getting it at Walmart and paid for shipping, a ~$2.5 waste which bugs me until this day.

Black Flag @ $40 is nice, but I'll wait to see what Best Buy has to say about that. In previous years they've had the new ACs at $35.

Was hoping to see GTAV for $40. :( it's too new I guess. Then again BF4 is on sale.
Come on Target or Kmart I'm counting on you! ;)

Interesting how BF4 is half-off while CoD:G is only $10 off. Since I'm backlogged to death and have been so busy that I haven't even touched GTA V for a few weeks now and have tons of other thing going on, I'm glad to see I can save $30 by waiting a month for BF4 on PC. Sweet. Too bad they aren't discounting Premium, too.

I want Killzone Merc and Black Flag....but I'm not going to sit In line at Gamestop

Hopefully Amazon price matches

It's an Ubisoft game. It'll be 25 cents in February. Seriously though, look at the drops on Brotherhood, Rev and III. Buying an AC for more than $20 is a fool's move.

My question is how hard will these deals be to get? Would love to get battlefield, kingdom hearts, and splinter cell but I have a feeling it won't be easy...

Decent ad, excited to see the other BF ads, hopefully soon!

Definetly getting Killzone Vita and PS Plus. I wonder if used copies will also go down. I'm looking for getting a B2G1 free for Killzone Vita, Rayman Legends, and Payday 2. Also hope the prices will be online, they were last year.

I still have hope for a retailer to have a sale on Ps4 games.

Also I still have Borderlands 2 sealed from last BF. makes me mad to see the GOTY on sale. I suck.

These deals look great. If I want to get the Zelda 3DS XL and PS3 bundles, how long should I camp out outside the store? My local Gamestop is in a mall, would that affect anything?

Gamestop is a smaller store obviously and they usually have terrible deals compared to bigger department stores. I suspect Gamestop will have very little quantities of these items and that Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg will match or beat most of these deals anyway.

I just don't trust Gamestop. Never have. I buy from them, but I never put trust in them with any situation. They will let you down. Always have a backup plan.

Then that's not even factoring in places like Microsoft Store which had the deals of the century last year.

it's perspective I guess - the past two years I think it's taken about 6 months for msrp on ubi titles to hit 39.99 with sales available around $30 (rayman origins being the weird ass exception). I think msrp for AC3 is just now hitting 19.99 almost a year after release with the best options for cheaper than $40 copies being used copies from AWD (averaging $20-25 for the past several months) and Gamefly ($10 and you get an online pass that isn't used).

if you wait until $20, the tiv is already sunk and you might as well buy digital at that point. but usually the early $40 sales provide great opportunities for non-completists to cruise through the game and still get a solid $25+ trade in/sale for the game, making the overall cost less than if you waited until $20, and you get to play it sooner.

but if you don't sell/trade and you have a lot of patience, waiting until the drop is definitely the way to go.

Not to get too far off topic, but whatever you thought of the quality of New Super Mario Bros U, it's sold over 2.15 milion, given the install base of the Wii U that's damn impressive.

I don't see how going to walmart is easier than going to Gamestop on Black Friday. The lines at the Walmarts around me literally wrap around the building
WM last year started selling BF games at the BF prices on Thanksgiving day. I recall going into the store at 9am and getting all the games I wanted. No lines, no rush, no hassle! Hopefully they do the same today

Why wait for MSRP? Retailers will have dropped the price via their on sales and reduction long before MSRP catches up. As he said, AC is a series by Ubisoft that without fail, always sees this. I think retailers buy way too many of it and then are left with shelves of unsold copies and have to do these big sales in order to get rid of them.

TIV will be horrible by then. Its best to get the game on a good sale close to release, finish it so you can get the most for it, if you have any inkling of trading it in. That's been my philosophy with AC which always seems to go on sale for $34.99 on BF. Waiting till its $20 wont net you much when it comes to trading/selling it

It depends on your neighborhood. Walmart is absolutely brutal near me. A bunch of animals and vultures that will stomp a 5 year old girl in a wheelchair to get a game.

If you live in an upscale area or suburban areas, I suspect the lines may still be large, but the people at least will be civil for the most part.

Haha, no. From my experience, WM seems to attract the same type of people no matter where you go.

Think that depends on where you live. I go to Walmart for Black Friday in an area that is mixed with lower class (I hate that word) to middle to upper class residents. The store is still packed with a bunch of people (wrapped around the BestBuy last year twice).

Heck the women who looks "rich" is usually the one willing to shove people for deals. This is from experience of my friends parents but just b/c you have a lot of money doesn't mean you don't like to keep it that way and save a few hundred here and there. You don't become rich by spending your money regardless of cost.

I still haven't recovered from Diablo 3 and Skyrim being $10.

Yeah i took advantage of WM's early prices too. Didn't go at midnight but best friends did, they said when the pallet's plastic was removed there was such a hooplah they flipped the entire pallet of games over.

Thanks but no thanks. Saving $20 is nice but not that nice.

Eh, that 3DS looks beautiful, but I'm not very good at actually using any handhelds.  Nothing for me this year.  I think I'm going to just try to go strictly online this year.  I said that last year though and went out...damn...

The PS3 bundle looks really good, but I'll wait until I see the other stores' bundles.

Anyone know if the pre-owned DS Lite worth getting or not? I have a few DS games I got recently that I want to play.

Nothing will top last year's MS store I'm afraid.

They also had some very killer laptop/PC deals.

Layaway pickup(and pay) are usually in the back of the stores, not really a lot of people at my store at least

Yeah I know that, but the real significant price drops don't usually come until around summer. It's more of a timing issue. I think $35 for a game that's basically brand new is a pretty good deal, even if it's worth peanuts 8 months later.

well looks like im going to gamestop this black friday. battlefield 4 for $30, LEGO Marvel for $30, AND dynasty warriors 8 for $25!!! HELL YES!

Pretty sure you can preorder it as well... Just to make sure.
Yeah usually gamestop allows you to preorder every SKU including controllers so get this thing preordered before hand.

The Zelda game itself comes out on November 22 so black friday is a week after so you should be able to avoid the black friday stuff if you want this.

I'm very glad the Zelda-themed 3DSXL bundle is a download code for the accompanied game, instead of being a pre-installed feature (like the Luigi 3DS bundle).  I was planning to get the physical copy as soon as possible.  The lack of PSVita system deals and no mention of the 2000 series model makes me depressed, though.

Should I sell my Zelda 3ds bundle it is stealed sealed
Depending on what your intentions are. Right now you can still get a pretty good amount, well over what you paid. If you are worried about it losing it's value, I think it will hold. if you wanted to sell it to get the new XL you would almost get it for free just from your profit.

Manager at my local store knew about this as soon as it popped up. He found out that the kid that posted this got fired 2 hours after the ads were posted.
