Free Stuff - Needs Updating

There are quite a few free and free2play games and mods on steam. You can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

I'm trying to figure out how Motoki spent 6 hours on Lilly Looking Through. I finished the game in 2 hours, even with me getting stuck in a place or two.

Personal opinion on the game: it is very cute, but it is also very short and they left the ending open-ended. Not sure I'd recommend it at the current price, but I do think it is worth playing for adventure game fans.
Ummm - does the game have cards?

If yes - farming for cards, maybe?

EDIT:

Or maybe Motoki did numerous replays?

Took his time playing it through once?

I know that I'm the type of person - I often will take my time on a 1st play-through. I usually try to get immersed in the game-world; environments; find any sort of extras, items, audio-logs and video-logs; and any other nooks and crannies - especially more so true in shorter games.

Some first impressions:

Jericho - fun game so far, didn't know it was squad based, but looks like I'll have fun romping through this.
Oooh, Clive Barker's Jericho was good. Nothing special, but worth playing - especially if purchased dirt-cheap (which it often is, these days). It's definitely underrated. One of the things I liked was switching b/t the characters and using their special-skills for situations and to your advantage. That was cool.

I think Jericho got pounced on in reviews b/c it didn't wind-up being as masterful as many felt Clive Barker's Undying was; and b/c Jericho certainly wasn't the best-running game back when it 1st dropped.

I'm definitely looking for 75% off Antichamber and Gunpoint and <$10 on Far Cry 3 FINALLY
Far Cry 3 + Blood Dragon each at below $10 or 75% off or better = sounds good to me. :D

EDIT:

If Gunpoint goes on sale, I'm definitely going to check to see if the official website price-matches it.

They did last time it went on sale (even though it wasn't 75% off).

If you buy it from them directly, you'd get both a Steam-key and a DRM-FREE version.

Here's a few titles from my wish list I'd jump on at lower prices during the "Autumn" / "Winter" Steam sales:

-Dishonored: The Brigmore Witches DLC ($2.99 or less)

-Guacamelee! Gold Edition ($3.75 or less)

-Trials Evolution Gold Edition (< $5)

-The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Dragonborn (< $5)

-The Wolf Among Us (< $12)

-Audiosurf 2 (< $4)

-No Time To Explain (< $2.99)

-Kentucky Route Zero (< $8)

-Gunpoint (< $2.50)

-Remember Me (< $15, maybe)
Some good stuff on the list. :D

Oh, yes - I'd like to see 75% off or better (on normal or lowered-MSRP price) / or $10 or less on:

Far Cry 3 + Blood Dragon

All of the Skyrim DLC

All of the Dishonored DLC

Metro: Last Light + Season Pass

Assassin's Creed III + Season Pass OR AC3: Deluxe

Saints Row 4 + Season Pass

Remember Me

Bioshock: Infinite - Season Pass

The Wolf Among Us

Borderlands 2 - Season Pass + Bloody Harvest, and/or maybe other certain level-raising/class-based DLC's

Dead Island: Riptide

Whatever else I got on my Wishlist -> http://steamcommunity.com/id/mysterd/wishlist/

I'm sure there's others. Can't think of 'em all right now.

I don't know about others, but the sole reason I play games is for the enjoyment. It's certainly not a necessity of life. I love pan fried shrimp parmigiana too and I most definitely won't limit myself to only having it once.

Edit: :dunce:
Challenge, boredom, obligation, achievements/trophies for some... Its why I pointed out that if your not enjoying the game that the changes are so minimal (smoke and mirrors to be honest) that one's time would be best spent with other games than investing about a 120 hours (or so) on repeated full runs through the ME trilogy.

Granted, I'm not saying you cannot do it, or even that you shouldn't do it... Only consider that your time is important and repeated playthroughs might be a waste of it. Its your decsion of course. :)

My Halloween Catch went like this...

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (Never played it though I have been tempted to pick it up a number of times over the years.)

Outlast

Alan Wake Franchise (I thought I would be trading for it... but people either don't reply to PM in the trade thread or so over value their bundle keys that this was the simplest solition)

The Swapper

Natural Selection 2

Overlord Complete Pack

Left 4 Dead Bundle

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Now, I just need for my Amazon credit to finally post so I can get my gaming keypad.

I started up a game last night and promptly fell asleep. I think I got about 5 minutes in but 101 minutes were added to my time played. Good news though, my laptop stayed right there on my lap as I snoozed.

What's at the top of everybody's wishlist? Top three to five games or so you want on sale and at what price does (Santa/Krampus/whatever) Gaben have to drop them to for you to buy them these holidays (realistically speaking).
1. Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing $5 or less

2. Spelunky $5 or less

3. Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara $4 or less

4. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures $7 or less

5. Castle Storm $5 or less

It does have cards, but I got all my drops through my playthrough. Maybe he didn't know.

As for the latter, there really isn't much to explore in that game.

In other news, someone put up a Lacrosse game on Kickstarter. I'm always a fan of someone increasing awareness of Lacrosse.

What's Lacrosse...?

Only slightly trolling you... I have no real interest but the story of their game being on XBL was pretty interesting from a few years ago... I think it was OXM that did the story.

Starting to get annoyed by the Steamcommunity sluggishness.  Has been weeks since I could browse through someone's screen shots or even access my inventory on a regular basis.  Heck, the old spuf takes a digital eon to load now.

Right now Steamcommunity is down. I wasn't able to access my profile this morning.

Mooby was taken from his family at the age of eight, to join the CAG forums. Some say that's where it all began. When he was a child, Mooby saw the Steam sales. As a novice he was taken for initiation. He stood in front of the Steam Homepage. A gap in the fabric of the Steam client thru which can be seen the whole sale. We stand there, eight years old, staring at the raw power of GabeN and his sales, just a child. Some would be inspired, some would run away, and some would go mad.

Jeez, all these guys on the Ubisoft forums have rustled jimmies over their misperception that Assassin's Creed 4 PC version missed its release date. They thought it was releasing alongside the console versions and are making threads/threats about suing the company and shit like that. Morons.

Keep it up - we at the MysterD Corp will perma-ban you from MysterD Client, if you keep it up. :p j/k.

Make sure you read MysterD Client ToS, when you get a chance.

I wonder if my AC4 steam version will recognize my DRM-free AC1 save file in order to unlock Altair's robes. :whistle2:k  It's not attached to any platform/client, I bought it from Direct2Drive years ago.

Wait - so, you need an AC1 save to unlock Altair's Robes in AC4?

If yes - I'd guess you probably just need a save-game in the correct folder and location AC4 recognizes.

I could be wrong.

Your telling me you put a clause in your ToS that says someone can't complain about your client being full of bugs? :oldman:

I have no idea either why I'm taking this seriously...

I hope that's correct, it makes sense but you never know. You can also unlock Connor and Ezio outfits through save files. According to what I just read about the console version, that is.

MysterD Client still in Alpha.

Problem is - Tebow signed an NDA; and now MysterD might have to sue him for breaching contract for talking about the Client. :p

Gotta make some calls to David Otunga now. ;)

Does anyone know if the classic Sierra Adventure games are usually included in the Steam holiday sales and if so, how much they usually sell for?

Someone moving Gaben bucks from one account to another, willingly paying the 10% tax to do so.
Yep. That's some mighty fine money laundering operation you got there, Gabe.

Does anyone know if the classic Sierra Adventure games are usually included in the Steam holiday sales and if so, how much they usually sell for?
They usually are, but since they're published by Activision, they don't get that much of a discount. Frankly if you want the games you're better off getting them at GOG.
