CAGiversary!
Graphics just aren't going to be enough to sell people on the XBox One. And while Ryse might excel when it comes to graphics, I seriously doubt that most consumers are going to find the general premise and presentation of that game appealing. It's a little unsettling to jump into a game where every minute there seems to be another brutal murder. Very pretty brutal murders aren't the best showpiece for the XBox One, no matter how pretty those murders are.I think the one element Ryse will have going for it is that it'll show off the system's graphic capabilities probably far better than, say, Knack is going to for the PS4.
No, as far as games go, I think Forza is going to be the big showpiece. It's going to have some fantastic visuals as well, it's about cars, which most people at least like, and it's going to make better use of the XBox One's rumbling triggers. (tactile analog feedback for acceleration and braking is going to be great)
And as I've stated numerous times, the XBox One's interface is going to be the biggest selling point early on. If Microsoft can just get it working as promised, there are any number of consumers who would be willing to pick one up just for that. (and use it as a game machine as a pleasant bonus)
