GGT 284 celebrates the announcement of Project Diva f for the Vita

Yeah tomahawk is my favorite AC weapon ever. Also the rope darts I would pretend I was scorpion and say GET OVER HERE I know they're in 4 I have yet to unlock them...

Yeah, the rope darts were awesome as well! I didn't do the whole Scorpion thing but that sounds like it will make it that much more intense! I loved chasing the bears and stuff with a Tomahawk :D

Oh the animal hunting was garbage in that game DON'T DAMAGE THE PELT 4 just said fuck it you can throw a TNT stick at the animal and not worry about losing money not that you would sell the skins you need them to upgrade your health. Which sucks after 2 or brotherhood you got regenerative health which makes the game too easy just spam B all day to counter and get health back

Yeah, chasing them with Tomahawks always made the pelt bad :( But I just did it because it was fun! Glad to hear that they changed that up though, should make it more enjoyable! I have to actually finish 3 still now that I keep talking about it :/

I'm pretty sure it always had regenerating health.

I remember playing AC1 and fighting those knights at the end and running around in circles everytime my health got low.

I tried to trade in my OG 60GB PS3 to BB, but they wouldn't take it without controller or TV out cable.  Luckily I found my old non-rumble DS3 and a composite cable.  Will try again before the trade-in deal ends...maybe tomorrow we'll see...

You have a week to do it.

Point is the health regenerated.
Yeah well you can say every game has regenerative health then

Any game with a health bar.

Sonic has regenerative health not that you would need it how can you die in a game where all you do is spin in circles?

You can say that about Sonic Generations and I won't disagree.

That game was made for babies.

Pretty sure the reason behind the first link is because people gave launch titles for the WiiU better scores because they were on a Nintendo console and people kind of gave them a higher score for the effort they made trying to make games that the hardcore crowd would actually play.

Right out of the gate people expect PS4 games to be great since Sony consoles already cater to the hardcore crowd with their triple A titles so they're judged more harshly.

That's not really a huge surprise. NSMBU is a great game. Was anyone really expecting Knack to be better? And Killzone seems to suffer from launch game syndrome so it's not a surprise for it to be in the 7 - 8 range. ZombiU actually has some cool ideas and true survival horror elements so I'd be a lot more interested in that than another Killzone. Launch lineups are never what determines a console's success anyway. The Wii probably had a better launch lineup than the PS3 but that didn't mean anything down the line when the PS3 got some games.

Yeah, short of Xbox with Halo or one of the earlier Nintendo systems with it's respective Mario title, I'm hard-pressed to recall a truly stellar launch lineup. These new guys more or less fall in line with my expectations.

Remember when PDZ was considered AAA? Boy do I love misplaced launch hype. KZ must have done something really wrong to get 7-8s. Then again the series never had a very revered history.

Yeah, I remember how everyone I knew at school were freaking out about how AAA PDZ was and whenever I got to finally play it myself I thought I had heard wrong and was playing the wrong game.

Yeah, I'd add Dreamcast to that list with Soul Calibur, but most launch lineups just seem to be there so you have something to buy with the system. Definitely not something you can use as a basis for whether a system is worth getting in the long run.

I'm a fairly big fan of Perfect Dark so I was hyped for that game, but I wasn't planning on getting a 360 at launch. Then my college had a launch event where a bunch of people brought their's in to play at school and I got to play Perfect Dark and I was not sad I wasn't getting one, haha, because PD:Z was such a let down (I've never owned that game, even after finally getting a 360). I miss the N64 era Rare.

In other news I just finished The Walking Dead game, and all I can say is wow, that ending was emotional
and actually got me to cry
. It might not be much of what I'd consider a game, but as an interactive graphical novel with very limited ability to actually change the story it's fairly cool, and the story is very solid.

I also miss N64 era Rare. They were so good it was ridiculous... I'd just be happy if they'd go back to making Viva Pinata, though. Those were some great games.

Yeah, that game was emotional as fuck. What choices did you make? I bawled my eyes out in the end and I actually got so worried towards the end
after you get bit and you're looking for Clem
that I made myself sick. I don't think I've ever worried so much about a video game character being taken care of.

Yeah, the DC probably had the best launch line up ever. Of course it had been out in Japan for around a year by the time the US launch happened, so they had a years worth of games they could bring over.

Otherwise console launches tend to be pretty sparse and just generally not worth it IMO. You pay the highest price the console will ever be, usually have to buy games at full price (Target B2G1 helped this time though), and have the highest risk of getting faulty hardware. All to play 1-2 great games and then suffer a drought.
