Nice try, but I want GamersGate, GameFly, etc... All in one place. I do like the chrome pricing plugin a lot, and I buy for consoles as well. I have my own DB but it only updates once per day and doesn't include creative or real time deals. I'm just being lazy, and the overwhelming chatter makes things harder to find. They should make me a mod and then I'd delete everything not deal related including most of my own posts.

surriously tho i don't understand how you have the time to argue with people about who's being a dick or a troll or whatever but wading through a few posts is too much time, especially since the op has links to all of the different pc forums on this site, whose op's should all have the deals for their respective sites that are running

this is the steam thread. there are not many steam deals worth talking about right now, so yeah, there's gonna be some joking around. plus, it'd be a bit dry if everybody just robotically spat out prices. if you want to get technical, gamersgate, gamefly, etc, don't belong in this thread, so your post asking about the bundles earlier should also get deleted if you were a mod. this is why people jump down your throat.

Saying you would like to delete everybody else's contributions you don't agree with isn't very civil, you know.

It's actually extremely self-centered because you're complaining that the thread doesn't conform to your personal idealization of a deals thread.

Also, I'm pretty sure you called everybody punks earlier. Name calling isn't civil. I hate getting involved in this stuff, but you really do bring it on yourself. This is the environment of this thread. People like to joke around and have fun, although the deals are the forefront of the conversation. Complaining that everybody doesn't fit your distinct vision of how you wish they would isn't civil, as much as you are delusionaly tricking yourself into thinking it is. If you really can't stand it, use one of the above sites people have linked to.

Also, implying that none of us have jobs isn't civil either. Seriously dude, do you think about the way the things you say in here come off? Nobody in this whole thread has a problem with anybody else, but when you post there always seems to be some shitstorm that goes off. It's not coincidence, and nobody's ganging up on you.

While i'm not particularly fond of the overall community, the Gamedeals Subreddit is what I check when looking for a quick list of deals. Usually you can get an entire day's worth of sale info on one page and it only takes a matter of seconds to skim the offerings. Of course, once you dig into each thread, you'll find the same responses you get anywhere on the internet, but as a jumping off point, it's my favorite.

Hard to limit yourself to one specific portal though. Barring the obvious glitch prices, I have to check 4 or 5 different sites before confirming a purchase.

Thanks, I had been avoiding reddit as it's not exactly known for civility either, but that summary page is a nice addition. Hopefully it has an RSS feed.

And if nothing else my comments are definitely drawing attention as my star rating just plummeted. LOL

I look through that page 3-4 times a day to see if I missed anything or if anything interesting shows up that I can cross-post to CAG.

I don't really mind the banter in the CAG threads (in fact I think that's mostly why I hang out here), unless it gets really bitchy.

Jesus christ.  I was away from this thread for one afternoon.  I come back and see there are five pages of new posts I have to catch up on.  "Holy shit!" I think.  "There must be some sweet unexpected deal happening! Christmas has come early! Valve has released Half Life 4!" Just imagine my disappointment when page after page turns out to be this shit.

And for the record, I apparently joined this site in May 2004, so...all y'all youngsters can just simmer down.
