To be honest tho, you really confuse me. You repeatedly post abrasive things, and show nothing but detest for the people in this forum, and claim all you want is to know about deals, none of the (admittedly) off topic things that come with the forum...but then you keep posting?

Maybe this just isn't the site you're looking for

I'm not saying it's fair or anything, but based on your past behavior, you have a pretty substantial hole to dig out of. My advice to you is to either:

1) If you want to interact w/the community - ignore all posts you view as attacks, and start posting things that are polite or constructive - whether accurate or not, people have a negative view of you. Responding to posts you don't like, or attacks on you, such as the one above, is not only stupid, but your response was uncalled for as well. Instead of responding to the one person who posted what you quoted, you grouped everybody in certain age group together with "whiny millenials." BTW, you might not be a millenial, but jesus christ do you like to whine.

2) If you don't want to interact w/the community, but wish to frequent the site - stop posting

3) Want only deals and nothing else - find a new site

Dude, I've been on CAG for longer than most of you, so you know nothing of who I am or what I like. I have contributed substantively to many threads over the years. What you do need to understand is I don't need snotty know it all's telling me what to think, how to post, or disagreeing with every comment I make. What I've noticed is as an increasing number of newer members are rude, obnoxious and critical in every post. I've run up against a number of folks recently who feel that every deal is for them only and no information should be shared because of evil SD, Reddit, etc.

Stop telling me how to think and what to do, there are other groups for folks to chat on, and frankly I don't really care about that, but when some know it all does nothing but snipe at everybody's other post, it just tells me of their low character, or feeling of self importance.

I've also noticed some people think because they've been on a thread for a period of time, they somehow own or have control over the content in that thread. They don't.

So bottom line if everyone feels comfortable being an asshole, so be it, but I would suggest that each interaction be judged against how you would deal with the same comment/situation in the real world. I doubt most people would immediately start being sarcastic and argumentative.

I know someone will say irony, or look at "your" posts, but like I said before I don't start by being an ass, my comments are a result of someone (or group of someones) poor behavior.

And pasports31, you may think you're responding rationally but the truth is you're just supporting ashekitty and her initial sarcastic know it all response, and then all her fanboys who join in for the sport.

This is my last post on this subject, but you may want to employ a little critical thinking to this entire encounter.

 
For lack of better judgement, I'll add this.  All sarcasm aside, attacking another poster's actions (i.e. their posts/words) can be viewed with a certain amount of credibility.  Attacking another poster as a person loses said credibility.  This goes for everyone.

No, I was not supporting ashkitty's response. I barely know ashkitty, since I just started posting a few months ago when she went on CAG hiatus, and just came back recently, so I have no due loyalty to her. I was just saying that if you want to avoid all these attacks and hyper critical posts, you might want to think about the way you react.

Also, your posts have demonstrated that you seem to be INCREDIBLY deflective and have such a high tendency to believe everything is everybody else's fault but yours

As I posted earlier, I don't know why, but EVERY time I see you post, some shitstorm goes off. There's not some mass conspiracy to gang up on you, YOU need to look at yourself and how you're posting and how it comes off.

I just completed Wolf Among Us: Episode 1....

Mini review (no spoilers): I've never read the Fables comics before (nor realized they existed), and now I hate Telltale even more because I feel that this is another gateway drug into a world I never knew existed.  Much like I played The Walking Dead: Episode 1 without ever watching the TV show or reading the comics (and then proceeding to buy every single anthology and ughhhh), I'm now once again fascinated by the imagination and creativity of a concept that is so simple yet intriguing: what if all the myths and fables you heard as a kid were real?  

I think this is also why games like The Secret World are alluring for me, as the many stories and urban legends I heard as a kid seem to only belong in the carefully crafted "faux-reality" of children... I love Disney movies of my childhood (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King) but after watching them again, I don't know if I'd necessarily want a future daughter of mine growing up thinking that the best way to win a man's heart is by losing her voice and showing off her body.  Seeing Snow White, the Big Bad Wolf and Mr. Toad in "New York" was great and I enjoyed the allusions or foreshadowing that all the stories we read before were probably not as rosy as told (the seven dwarves look especially creepy... seven pedobears?).

I was a bit more engaged in the gameplay than Walking Dead too, as there weren't as many dumb RE-style puzzles, but rather some investigation puzzles that forced you to use what you've learned during questions under a time limit.  I'm a sucker for these types of things (just look at my playtime with Phoenix Wright games) so I appreciated this addition.

The action gameplay was hit or miss though, and I think my biggest complaint is that your choice often does not accurately reflect what your character will DO when you choose the choice.  I had to restart a couple times because a seemingly innocent option turned into an output of aggression I'd expect from a psychopath. 

Overall I loved Episode 1 and I can't wait for the next 4!  I'm also worried that Telltale is going to burn itself out making 4 episodic games simultaneously and this will slow the two I actually care about down (TWD Season 2 and Wolf Among Us).

This also worries me. TWD Season 2 is about to start and two more games that must be in at least preproduction. A three+ month wait between episodes 1 and 2 of TWAU does not build confidence. They said 4-6 weeks and it took them 7 just to say "we'll have a better idea in another month." Hopefully this is just a hiccup between 1 and 2, and 3 and up will release a bit closer together. I'm sure that this all happening around the holidays isn't helping.

I like it. I'm just not big into multiplayer shooters in general. But, yes, dinos and Nazis is a no-brainer. The game started out with only having dinosaurs on the Axis side, but they changed it later because, hey, we can't have Adolf and the goosesteppers with all of the prehistoric birds on their side!

Has anyone been able to redeem or see their key in their desura collection from the groupees bundle? I have the game in desura and installed from there fine but it doesnt show up in my collection so I cant see a steam key

As MurderSanta31 stated, it will be listed, usually to the left with the other specifics as "Protection". Also note that keys are provided through the GameStop app/client and are not delivered via email/purchase history. Some people find this offensive.

I think that by registering your old WC3 CD key(s) to your Battle.net Blizzard account you can get a digital download edition of WC3. I know this works for D2/LoD.

FO1, 2, Tactics retail (UK). FO1&2 Mac Retail. Brotherhood (PS2). And had already rebought FO1 on some prior GOG sale (after they added Mac support).

...and yet I think I've only spent around 10 hours on FO1.

Completely varies. Most reports on their non-steam games is some downloadable screwball installer (not-properly-archivable). Steam keys must be collected from their desktop app. This makes them the least friendly of the digital retailers.

Yep, this works for any current or "classic" Blizzard games (except maybe WC 1 or 2? I don't have my physical copies of WC 2 anymore).

I just started using it a few hours ago... (New PC is *mostly* built now; I'll get some thoughts up on that in the apporpate thread sometime today) 8.1 isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. I hate the tablet look but the Desktop is close enough to what I want... and I'm rather picky in stuff. (Now about an hour or so ago I was hating it... but my angry subsided really quickly.)

Now, i don't have enough experince to proclaim it as amazing so my thoughts may change... but I'm not expecting it to.

Gamefly has Company of Heroes 2 for $13.59 and if you use the code GFDDEC20 It brings it down to $10.87. Cheapest it's been as I believe.

Okay, quick question time...

I'm at the point where I'll be transferring data from my old computer to my new computer and I'm wondering is it possible for me to just transfer my whole downloaded steam library from old to new and then just have steam verify it? 

Also, is this even wise when changing the OS? (win 7 64 bit to Win 8.1 64 bit)

(I know theirs an option to do this but I've only tried it on one game to go from one installer to another and it did not work.)

Also anyone know if steam has a feature to transfers in game saves from one system to another?
