Well, after letting it sit on my shelf for two weeks, I finally opened Tearaway.

Holy smokes. I can't remember the last time a game made me smile this much. Seriously. Get this game.

Yep, I was denied at two different Gamestops, with my $10 off coupon that I had purchased with PUR points. Went to Best Buy, price matched GameStop, used a $10 reward cert, $10.64 total. Went to a third GameStop and returned the $21.29 Tearaway.

Can these PUR coupons only be used on retail priced new items? That sucks!

Yep, anything that is regularly priced and that is not a point of sale activation (ps plus, psn cards, xbox cards, etc)

Like I told the manager at the Gamestop I went to, most absurd coupon ever. She told me that apparently you can get your PUR points back and cancel the coupon.

 
The coupons used to work on pretty much anything without much hassle, but it seems like something changed recently and they wont stack at all with any promotion. It's been an ass telling people recently that they can't combine some sale stuff without an override.

I know it's not the workers fault but it hard not trying to get annoyed with such harsh coupon limitations. Maybe it's because people can accumulate PUR points much quicker than any other loyalty programs?

If Tearaway was in stock at Amazon I probably would have purchased from them instead.

 
I'm tempted to still try the $25 off a used console on a vita. Best case scenario they over ride it and I'll be able to get my points back for an unused coupon. Worst, I'll just get my points back.

 
Could someone tell me how long the 129.99 price of a USED/Refurbished Vita will be in effect? I'm hoping till after Christmas and if I get enough money over Christmas to purchase it.

Uncharted and AC Liberation are both pretty awesome handheld experiences. Also the Vita has a pretty fantastic downloadable library. Dokoru, Retro City Rampage, Limbo, Guacamelee and that just scratches the surface! I love my vita but will also be the first to say the memory is too damn expensive! But right now is the time to get a 16gb from Amazon for $19.99.

Side Note: Unrelated to this post. I am playing Beyond: Two Souls and I have to say, any game that gives me the power to control Ellen Page and beat the shit out of people is a game with worth playing.

Yea Moose listed some great games. And there are tons more. Killzone Mercenary, Dead Or Alive, Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, Little Big Planet among others.

Oh and I hope Beyond Two Souls is badass. Nothing beats what Moose said and at the cost of $5…will have to play it real soon.

I should also add that the two months without my Vita felt like withdrawals. For some reason its pretty much my favorite system. I play it more than PS4, PS3, and 360.

Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Hotline Miami and a few others are free on Vita with PS+ right now. I'd say wait for the release of the Vita slim model in the US. its better looking (aesthetically IMO), has better battery life and less chance of OLED screen burn in due to,.. not having OLED and using LCD. Plus it has 1GB built in memory too.

I actually preffer the OLED. The LCD's colors look very dull to me compared. Also, the 1GB cannot be combined with any extra storage. Meaning if you decide to get a 16GB it will not combine with the 1GB.

Street Fighter X Tekken works pretty well and there are games that are cross buy like Sound Shapes that carry over the saves and you can double or triple up trophies if thats your thing. Also as far as SFxT goes, I prefer to play it on my Vita. Sure it's not the console experience, but for some reason I find it more fun. I should put a disclaimer on any post about the Vita, because I truly love mine. I think it is the 2nd best handheld console, only behind the GBA SP.

I do not regret purchasing my Vita at all. I love all the games I have for it. Because of PS+, I think I've been spent around $50 or so on games that I actually purchased. I have a bunch of vita games I could play from my EU PS+ subscription but switching accounts is a big pain in the ass.

Yea, I'm sure the OLED looks miles better but I'd never want to risk OLED burn in. I tend to play games, if they're long enough, for 100 hours+ so I'd never be able to get over that worry. Plus the slim Vita appears to be rounded better around the shoulder buttons. If you want to pull the trigger now then do it, its a good system so long as you understand its caveats and have PS+

On the very first page of this thread this was typed "Get a FREE 1 year PRODUCT REPLACEMENT PLAN when you purchase any pre-owned system. (Thanks RUAfraidOfTigers)" Did you buy it online or in a store? If inside a store I'm sure you can just go back and show them a receipt.

I'm trying to figure out if it applies online. I went on Monday to a gamestop store and asked about it. They said " I don't see why not". Then the next day I called customer support and asked them they said "no", but I think they didn't know what they were talking about. (They didn't even know how much it would cost to get one in the first place. You can't even purchase one online.)

I'm going to try to call my local gamestop tomorrow and ask if I can just give them my receipt from buying it online and get a "free 1 - year replacement plan" from them . Feel free anyone for anyone else to answer this question if anyone has the answer.

It has an auto-save function, but one of the times I played I quit the game and it set me back a few checkpoints when I went back to it. So this time I was about four worlds into the story and wanted to find a manual save in the pause options to prevent what happened before. One of them said Profile and then asked if I wanted to overwrite, I did and it started the game over.

Just stay away from the option that says Profile or it might've said New Profile which makes sense, but it still shit on my soul. It's a short game, that doesn't matter, but the customaztion stuff I had is wiped now, too.

I decided to get it! Wow, it looks amazing! Havent gotten to play Tearaway yet but I've played the demo and it seems very fun. The one I bought was in perfect condition, the white one. On top of that it came with a 4gb card :D So I'd have to say I'm one happy camper.

Nice! Can't wait to get a Vita myself. I opted to get a PS3 for $129 instead of a Vita due to missing some great PS3 games. I lucked out and the first phat PS3 i bought for $129 was broken so I took it to a GameStop a friend of mine worked at and he actually fond a box that had a 120GB PS3 Slim in it but was marked in their inventory, mistakenly, as a 80GB phat. So I got a $200 PS3 for $129 which made my weekend.

I really wanted to bite on the Vita deal. I hope you enjoy it man!

 
I got gamestop 10.00 off coupon from  any purchise at gamestop store  and if I spend about 100 on games will I be able to used 10 dollar off coupon for them?
