Just got a beta key for Windborne from Hidden Path I guess for having signed up for their newsletters.  Check your emails if you wanted one and have signed up for the Hidden Path newsletter. 

 
I just got infinite. Anyone want to help with the $5 season pass?

I'm pretty excited that battlestations midway and Pacific are $2 and $3ish. Those are expensive on console considering how old they are.

Card market is on tilt.  Trash cards I put up months ago and never bothered to relist are selling today.  Up $20 in funbux since this sale started which, by my math, makes this the best Steam sale ever.

Yeah, got Pacific for my father on his last birthday. It's like they are rare or something, Midway on ebay is ridiculous the last time I checked.

(Really, I'm surprised Ubi games are still on Steam at all. Though I suppose forcing the client and allowing the purchase through Steam probably leads to a higher client adoption rate than cutting Steam out entirely like Origin does.)

Yeah, I was just about to mention this. Cards seem to be selling like hot cakes right now. People must really want these Snow Globes. Whatever the cause, if you haven't farmed cards, now is definitely the time to do it because everything seems to be selling at an all time high.

Everyone thinks the Linux port is "on its way", but no real evidence either way. It's likely that it will get ported eventually (unless Valve is already working on the next CS).

In any case, CS:GO works pretty well under Wine, so if your friend is familiar with Wine (s)he should have no problems getting it to run on Linux.

Eh, I thought it was alright, but like most RockStar games I was bored halfway through and barely finished. It's like that girl you really aren't into, but she already got your pants off so you just say screw it and get it over with.

Some of the really rare items obtained from crafting Globe cards are listed for ludicrously high prices, so people are gambling. I'll take the guaranteed 60ish gabenpennies.

I did gamble and craft one Globe badge. Got a Stronghold Kingdoms common item worth 3 cents. :shame:

I've made close to $45 on the steam market over the past few hours. All my overpriced cards are moving. Stuff that I've had listed since June is finally selling.

So I know they're all the 'worst holiday sale ever' but this promo seems particularly lazy to me.  Repeat of cards plus items in F2P games?  Funniest part is 'spend $10 to get a card!'  Wow, $10 = one card… of a set of 8 (I have no idea)… that will probably net you a 25 cent item!  With Amazon if I buy a $0.50 DLC I get a $5 EC coupon.  Seems like a no brainer.
