Steam gave me money the other day, instead of taking mine.

I'm still waiting for pool nation to be featured. It's currently 50% off but I'm hoping for more discount before I buy it.
 
I played all the DLCs in BL2.

The season pass gives you all DLCs (sans head hunter packs and second level cap/digistruct peak) including Gaige and Kreig (both fun characters to play).

The GOTY gives all DLCs (sans headhunter packs and level upgrade 2/digistruct peak), Kreig and Gaige plus a bunch of DLC heads and skins, club member (few items on character at beginning of game), golden key etc.

Basically only difference is a few extras and heads/skins.

As to the headhunter packs being worth it. Meh. They were to me as I really enjoy BL2, but overall they are very short, but some fun. Especially the tk baha nod. The areas are also pretty well done. If you like BL2 then grab them for half off. If not then you aren't missing too much.

Oh and the second level cap does finally make this game hard (and sometimes broken, as in you are pretty much locked into certain guns/builds). I really like that, some dont

Awesomenauts DLC is 100% superficial. It's a neat game and there's no reason to avoid it just because of the skins. All characters and abilities unlock as you play.

Skins in this sort of game are really for players who specialize with one character. If you're committed to one character and play a lot, skins become desirable. Otherwise, ignore them.

Okay. But I just paid six bucks for it on Amazon thinking that such a new game couldn't possibly go lower this soon. I should vote for Fez out of spite. :nottalking:

 
It looks like 7 Grand Steps went on sale anyway. Too bad it's not on the front page so no one will buy it.

I almost bought it myself but yeah yeah fundle bodder, it's a tarp etc etc.

 
I rather play BL and BL2 solo. That way I can play on my own pace and not to worry about my coop partner.

Also once I finished BL2 normal mode. I skipped TVHM, leveled up my char and weapons in editor to lvl50. Then enabled UVHM. That way I'm not worried being over leveled when I play the dlc.

So there's 2 active community vote deals? Wish they would've done that with Painkiller or Super House of the Dead Ninjas. No one cares about 7 Grand Steps. Damn you, Steam.

The first playthough is quite easy... If you're level editing... I'd advocate the opposite, create a toon and edit to level 30, and start PT2.

In PT1 it doesn't matter what weapons you're using.
In PT2 correct use of elemental weapons matters.
In PT3 adding slag into the mix is critical (also you get reduced weap-swap-delay).

And that's ignoring the increasing number of points to actually have a build or craft it to your desire.
 
I think this Steam sale has been pretty good so far. There have been a lot of non-standard (85%, 90%, etc.) discounts on lesser known games that have been great for impulse purchases.

I've found this sale to be at least a lot less predictable than the summer sale.

 
Anyone think that Xcom Enemy Within will get any better than the 33% discount?  That's the only thing i was really interested in.  Also i have bl2 on 360 with season pass but i would like to try the pc for 15 bucks.  I saw a few mentioning level editor.  Can you play online with an edited character?  That would be awesome as really the only thing stopping me from buying is starting from square 1 again.

Enemy Within was $15 during the flash sale for Enemy Unknown. I would wait to see if it shows up as a daily.

Let's not get mysterd on her ass all at once. It wouldn't be fair to gang up on her. We've all made purchases that made us bang our heads against the wall. That's why we learn to train ourselves to only buy at 75% off or better. It may come off as a little anal to the outsider, but that's the CAG way.

 
From my bit of time with Assetto Corsa... wow that's the good stuff. I didn't realize I had auto-clutch on for a bit an it was messing with me in a wicked way (in Neutral when I should have been in gear.)... But with all the assists off*.. oh yeah. ...closest thing to getting some track time.

* I'm just not used to that stuff IRL... I don't have ABS, traction control, auto-clutch, or those other fancy things that get in the way of how I want things to happen.

My track times are much better with the assists off.

I would love todo that but when I discovered the editor, I'm almost done with PT1. It's a good thing I got some unique along the way. But I'm having some challenge with tourge dlc since my guns are not that good. But at least I'm learning how to pace enemies and the swap thing.
 
Does anyone know how to reset this thread so that I receive notifications when someone quotes a post I made?  Un-following and re-following does not seem to do the trick.

I don't think it's per thread but a global setting i.e. either you're notified every time someone quotes you in any thread or you're not. So you could try messing with that option if you haven't already.

Unfollow the thread>re-follow and uncheck "notify me of new posts">set "notify me when a user quotes my post" in notification setting accessible through your user drop-down menu.

Yeah, but I already receive notifications for every thread besides this one. I think I changed something when CAG 3.0 was fresh and everyone was receiving notifications for every post in this thread... Thanks though.

I don't see these exact settings, but the close equivalents were already set... =\

 
So is FOTONICA a game for those that want to experience jumping and running at super sonic speeds but lack the powers to do so? Playing this with Oculus Rift would be bonkers. I wonder how exhausted or how sick I would be after a few jaunts in the 3D low-polygon world. :puke:

Yo dudes, what's a cool upgrade for my PC that costs $50-100, I can't think of anything but a new controller and I don't think now's a good time to buy one with Xbone possibly getting full PC support or not. Somebody asked me what they should get me for Xmas and I have no ideas. :(  I also don't need a mouse or keyboard.

More on-topic, I've been going back and forth on getting Castlevania for $7 from the trade thread but I think I can stand waiting for closer to $5.

We have that at one store, EB games, but the problem is I have $73 wallet money already and almost never find anything to spend it on. I usually buy my games from other stores or from the code trading thread.

A cool thing I noticed is that at EB games you pay $20 Canadian and get $20 US Steam funds, just an observation.
