New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Speaking of Baulders Gate, anyone have anything good to say about the enhanced edition?

7.99 isn't half bad, though I haven't really followed the game so I don't know if it's worth it at that price.
it's been five bucks a bunch of times. unless you really want to play baldurs gate wait on it

Shut up and show me your tits

Have the Bauldurs gate enhance editions (1 + 2) been flash deals yet?

Considering grabbing one or both

Which leads to my second question, im interested in them for coop/multiplayer with 1-2 players

Are they any good for that ?

Never played either, was a little young but then

But am heavily into action/rpgs

Expecting this to be diabloesque, although im famiilar with the D&D style ruleset games

BG 1 and 2 are faaaaaaarrrrrrrrr from Diablo-esque and trying to play co-op can be a real bitch because there is an insane amount of strategy and planning and you need to be able to pause A LOT. Mostly as you get further into the game.

It is NOT an action RPG.

I missed Typing of the Dead when it was a flash deal and now Amazon has it for $9.99. Do you guys think it will show up again on Steam since I sort of want to collect the holiday cards?

Also, If I have and beat State of Decay on the Xbox 360 already. Is it worth revisiting on the PC? There were a bunch of glitches when I last played, have those been fixed also? Any mods available for the PC also?

hmm right bioware, more like.... dragonage ?

probably a crappy choice for multiplayer then

Well, I bought the Indie Gala Limited bundle, Braid, and Tomb Raider, but forced myself to skip Syndicate, some Pinball FX 2 tables, Spectromancer, Need For Speed Most Wanted, and The Secret World (so far).

So some splurging, and some self control.

Good call on skipping NF$:MW, I'd really hoping someone buying it owns HP, and even TR.

I was very close to buying Remember Me tonight... but Totalbiscuit helped talk me down. $10 saved!
It'd be cheaper to buy it from a russian reseller anyway, once it hits 75% off on Steam. Store page says it's region locked, but steamdb says it's not. It'd be about $4.60.

My Magic-8 ball tells me to have you PM your full name, address, social security number, and favorite movie directed by John Waters, so it can divine your answer
All mine ever says is I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you and then we both stare suspiciously at each other.

And for the people who get bothered by lurkers and wasted code drops:  :booty:

So I'm thinking I'm going to snag some of the sub $1 Pinball games to get me going: Earth Defense, Captain America, Fantastic Four, Civil War, Epic Quest, and Excalibur. I don't have any of these on the other platforms (that I can recall-might have Captain America and Fantastic Four on XBLA though) so they should be a good place to start. Just can't bring myself to spend $20 on tables right now. $5 is much more palatable.

You can always test any of the tables with a minute long demo in the game itself. Not enough time to hit the missions or anything, but you can at least get a good look at them.
