Early bird catches the worm. Reminds me of when big sales would come down the pipe. The old $5 Circuit City and Best Buy sales would happen, people would complain nothing was left when they went 4 days into the sale.

 
I am surprised they still have value as high as they are with this triple deal.  I have ass creed 4 and lego movie game which based on the website would still get me over $70.  I am going to try and go tonight.  Based on Tyler's experience I am sure it will take over an hour even if I am the only one there.

Black Flag doesn't seem to have dropped (at least for PS3). Some 3DS games that I was debating trading in kept the same TIV. Just the super big money ones like Gran Turismo ($55 to $30) and GTA V ($51 to $45) but even then they still are plenty high.

People are probably just bitching about the games that they were buying from Target to flip right back to them have seen their TIVs dropped.

My trade in was quick and painless and went right on a gift card. Though the store I went to is literally a block from the Target corporate HQ, so they should have their shit together.
 
you can still get ffx-2 free on vita with the deal tho.

Wish I had done that but I already bought it at amazon when it was 30 and flipped back to amazon for 19 getting it for 11. free is better tho. bestbuy with gcu then use code then flip for 36ish

That's a whole lot of work just to be playing FFX-2 instead of FFX.

Trying to look through my games to see what I can/want to trade in made me realize that I've gotten rid of a whole lot of games. Played a lot more games this generation while spending less. Still some clutter but could be much worse. Guess that's what frequently moving will get you.

I didn't even do it. I was gonna do it and then try to trade the code on cag, but i doubt that's worth it. I would do it for a free copy, but foolish as I am, I already bought it for 30 on amazon and traded back to them for 19, I thought $11 ffx-2 vita was a good deal, lol. but just sharing for others. 32 w gcu at bestbuy then target yup.

Yep. Everyone played Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat (well, a lot of people did) and it was approachable and fun. Fighting games are almost their own science at this point with overheads, otgs, counters, counters (regular and throw), combos, mix ups, a dizzying array of normals and specials along with things like modified specials (aka ex or meter burn or whatever based on the game) along with what trumps what, massive character selection, and bunch of other crazy ass terms and stuff depending on the game, AND people that basically play only fighting games online meaning that your chances of 'learning the ropes' by just playing matches against other people are just about nil. I still love the stupid things though.

Frisky is right on Skullgirls - the tutorial is excellent and introduces the concepts of modern fighting games in an incredibly understandable fashion. If you've ever been interested in seeing what it's all about, take that tutorial mode for a spin and stick with it. They should be pretty proud of that.

not anymore target no longer allows the VITA To be traded in. IT should be out of the system by tomorrow . Worker also told me today anyone who did it and still has the gift card the gift card will be voided (not sure if true )

yeah, that's not going to be true. that would require a level of sophistication (and malice) that no brick and mortar retailer currently has.

edit: I mean the sophistication. I'm sure a number of stores have the appropriate amount of malice.

Borderlands 2 question: Is the DLC worth waiting on the GOTY edition to drop in price? From what I've read, Tiny Tina is the best one. If there's only one that really stands out, I'll just re-buy the vanilla version. If I'm not sick of it by the time the main game is over, then I could buy Tiny Tina.  :whistle2:k

im replaying dead rising 2 co op with my wife just in case they turn off the mp may31st. That's a crazy game. I totally need to save/use the restrooms more cuz we just went on a 30 minute journey fighting the snipers and finding girl hiding in bushes and fighting the sheriff guy hanging people and then died vs that psycho and bam 30 minutes gone with the option to reload or restart game. I need to finish it before Wolfenstein comes out tomorrow. Anyone wanna play some Terror is Reality and let me win? I think we need 4 in a lobby to start game, so we got 2 spots down...

I love Borderlands 2 and love all the DLC, however, there is a lot of game without the DLC. If you're just now getting around to starting it, I would hold off and see if you like it. Besides, you likely have the base game free if you are a PS Plus subscriber, so no reason to rush on getting the GOTY unless you find a great deal.

I have yet to see anything of quality come out of this site. It seems like it's all GIFs, edited pictures, and people complaining about games not being 1080p/60fps. We have snakeybro for that.

It also leads me to be confused as to why affa thinks that none of us would last a day on this site. I guess because none of us are good at coming up with GIFs?

If you're looking for quality GAF isn't the place to go. It's more of a place for rumors and breaking news, like noticing random Amazon listings, obscure twitter comments from small developers, etc. There is a little bit of insider info as well, but it can be hit or miss. affa did call the PSN $1 Flash Sale info correctly from GAF. The ntkrnl Xbox One leaks were all from GAF as well.

But mostly it's just another forum for discussing games. 99% of the content there is as worthless as 99% of the content here. No need to start using the site unless you're looking for another gaming community or are bored.

Here's a good example, a Namco Bandai tweet and press release that Dark Souls is going to remain using GFWL for the foreseeable future.  IGN, Joystiq, and other will probably post about it in 30-60 mins.

Probably because it makes people feel superior to "break" news, or be a part of a community that "breaks" news so frequently. And there are a few insiders there that share info from time to time. Maybe people feel special being among them.

I've only run into one notable developer on CAG ever.
