Some of the episodes can be pretty corny but at times it can be intense and interesting.

It's also an absolute pipe-dream of what politics could be like. Ya know, where politicians make decisions that are good for the American people, versus real life where decisions are made to benefit lobbyists and major financial campaign supporters.

The acting in the show is excellent and it's definitely worth a watch from start to finish.

 
MGS2 HD: 94.9% of VR Missions completed.

Does anyone know a good way to do the MGS1 Snake Hold Up missions which (to my utter delight) use the assault rifle? My bulky thumbs tend to hit the Square button just hard enough to shoot bullets, and I only seem to tap lightly 1/5 of the time. :joystick:

 
amazon prime added season 4 of workaholics. that's 4 seasons in a row they have had on prime. awesome.

I finally played some 'the last of us' mp also after i played a few matches with the new cod ghosts invasion maps dlc,

and then i grinded on this elderly man for over an hour. in resonance of fate.

^Velo, how are you "enjoying" Magus? I got the plat for fun after hearing how "bad" the game is (my library carried it, thankfully). I find it very funny that the plat trophy has an 85+% acquisition rate on PSNProfiles. :lol:

 
Two great suggestions @ tyler and velo. Pootie Tang I've seen a few times but will likely watch it again. Workaholics I think I've only seen like 2 1/2 seasons of, so I'll have to catch up on that for sure.

@vigilante, I'm extremely jealous of this library you have that seems to carry a bunch of video games. My outdated library only carries books and just recently started getting DVD's to replace the VHS. I'll have to inform them that they aren't really a library anymore until they change that.

 
To be honest I have only played Magus for like an hour. My daughter took care of that game, I played the first level and upgraded teleport, realized I upgraded the wrong speed skill and told her to do it all. I still need to grind/have them grind the 500 items on that azure coast triple portal, but I was doing that for like 20 mins earlier and the power went out so im done with that game. I'll tell my kids they have the choice of dishes, laundry or platting Magus ;) . Sad too cuz I loved the Magus character from CT. also my wife is due today, so fingers crossed or else she gets induced asap.

and part 2 on Nier is when the plot gets good and you really have to start working to get that platinum/all weapons/fishing/gardening ;)

The plot is definately awesome tho, especially cuz all the added behind the scenes boss battles.

 
Look, we've pretty much given up trying to mod the Steam forum. Let's not let this one get out of hand like that. Reel it in guys...

Edit: Good lord people. I started clearing out all the way off topic stuff and gave up after deleting most of the last 5 pages. I left about 3 posts that were at least taking about video games, even if not the current sale. I'm giving up now - so this will probably look odd to you guys with the off topic discussion from yesterday evening just ending abruptly. I see 5 pages of hidden posts though...

If you guys just want to talk about random stuff, you know there is a whole section on CAG just for that:

Cag is the only forum that I actually comment on and this is my first post on this specific thread, but maybe I don't see the big deal. I don't want to undermine what you do and I appreciate the moderating, but I feel like we have a sort of friendship here between all of us that makes us comfortable enough to talk to each other and it's fun. We have built relationships with each other and we enjoy, and at least for me, look forward to talking to each other. Whenever someone has a question or talks about a deal there are more than a few people that will gladly answer, but no one asks crazy in depth questions that take 100 posts, but even if they did, I think we would spend the time to do that. Maybe I am crazy. Please don't ban me.

To get back on topic... Muramasa Rebirth maybe one of my favorite Vita games so far. I enjoyed it on the wii, but only played through one of the stories. Right now I am on Act 6 of the 2nd story and think the game is absolutely perfect for the Vita. It looks wonderful, it plays smooth and fast and I am having more fun with it then I did with Dragons Crown.

I am also having a hard time getting into Mutant Mudds Deluxe. I finished the first set of levels and moved on to some of the ghost levels and think the game is so-so. I've been lurking this forum for awhile and not really sure what you guys are seeing that I am not. Hopefully I will finish it and as time goes on enjoy it more, but at the moment, it's okay at best.

Also I finished the Mortal Kombat Challenge Tower Woot Woot! That was a lot of fun and I really thought that the last 27 or so was going to be damn near impossible, but once you finish the Army of Shao Kahn and Army of Goros, it isn't that bad. Even the last one only took me 15 minutes or so.

I also finished Dragon Fantasy Book II and I am really surprised how bad it was. I loved the first one, but the second one is buggy and annoying. I am hoping for a 3rd one still (just because there is a bad one in the series doesn't mean that won't give the next one a shot) I just hope that they are able to produce a quality game.

All the posts I was deleting had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with video games, let alone the current PSN deals (i.e., the topic of this thread).

I get the desire to hang out and BS about random stuff with people you have forged a relationship with. But it has gotten so far out of hand on the Steam thread, for example, that it has become an insiders club where there is absolutely no semblance of a connection with the topic of the thread. Thus people actually going there for the deal info could barely see any discussion of the deals. Or at least it was that way last time I looked in there - like a lot of CAGs I've given up reading it since it was off topic so much. This thread was starting to get that way too.

Random BS threads are just fine on CAG - but there's a place for them and it isn't in one of the main Video Game Deal forum threads.

I've got a lot to say about the off topic banter, but I'll keep it to myself to remain respectful.

I wish I had as much time to game as other people. I've been working on getting through Remember Me (got from PS+, to remain on topic) and I feel like it's taken me forever to make it through and I think I'm only half done.

What I took from this post is that our thread is better than the Steam thread, which most of us already knew but it's nice for it to get acknowledged every once in awhile. Thanks mod bro.

I never found UC1 to be boring. Keep in mind, when UC1 came out, it was much more unique. There weren't a lot of 'summer blockbuster movie' quality type games that were out that could compete with what it did. What it did, in comparison to what was out at the time, was much more impressive. We always compare games with one another, so it stands to reason that when one game releases that is better than its peers, it will continue to hold a higher place in that person's view. Nostalgia goggles are a real thing, and they're not always bad.

Plus the shooting wasn't completely broken when UC1 first released. So from a pure gameplay perspective, it didn't fuck up one the core components to actually playing it, like UC3 did.

The true measure of someone's fortitude is when you remove a commonly accepted standard of life from them and see how they respond. To a lot of us, working 40 hours a week is just a given in life. But remove that and see what happens.

You have examples like you have stated, where people who no one would slight for taking the easy road (truly handicapped in a physical or mental capacity) doing everything in their power to work the most menial job. That is a truest form of what I consider the human spirit that I can think of. They have a drive and passion to the do the most with what they have. They could sit on their ass and lament what they don't have, or what others are doing to them, but they get up everyday and do the best with what they have available.

These people are living examples of how and why we as humans have evolved from where we started and why we will continue to do so in the years to come.

And that is why it is so irritating to see people that have no real issues continuing to excuse why they cannot be a productive member of society.

I probably missed a fairly vast part of this conversation, but if you have tremors that prevent working how do you play video games? I would think that'd be tough too and, honestly, more pertinent than having an icky old job.

The hyperbole that people use about the series is insane, like suggesting that the first game is so bad that it plays like the old Tomb Raiders. They're all good games in the end.

 
UC1 was better when it came out.  Most sequels are better as gameplay mechanics are fixed.  I couldn't stand the Tomb Raider Collection on PS3  (which I never played when it was first released) after playing UC.  I'm sure TR would have been great if I played it originally.

Yeah, Octodad is worth the money. I liked it a lot.

I never said the old tomb raiders were good. So comparing UC1 to it was fitting.

And the Tomb Raiders kind of didn't start becoming full of action until Legends. From then on I have liked them all. The first Tomb Raider was way to much exploring and puzzles. Not my kind of game.

Frisky when are you going to add Tomb Raider to your HorrorChicken series?
