I'm finally playing The Wolf Among Us and am probably close to finishing the first episode. The game has a strong "American Gods" vibe, which I dig since it is one of my favorite books. I like taking historic fictional characters that were once strong and seeing how they live or get by once they no longer have the same sort of power.

I've heard of a lot of 'meh' about the game, but so far, its pretty damn cool to me.
I've also only heard good things. Granted it may have the same framerate issues that TT games do when you choose poorly and play on console, but the game itself gets raves across the board from every single person I've seen comment on it. The consensus is definitely that it's better than TWD s1, as well. I've seen that said over and over again, and TWD was really well-reviewed as well.

yeah I have had bioshock spoiled anyway, but thanks. I'll have to play/plat it soon.

congrats profstotch on finishing arenas/neverland, now you just need to beat the game speedrun. I'm on ch5 again...

Bayonetta is super awesome, I just need to beat hard/infinite climax mode. But that is one of those games that if you quit playing, you will totally lose all your skills and then get slaughtered when you try it up again on a harder difficulty, I might have to do a normal playthrough just so I know how to beat it without witch time. probly evil rosary and mana khana dodge artifacts. n I beat Bayonetta back pre patch, the only rough stuff was game wasnt as smooth as 360 and it took forever to load. Now you can install it, but I don't think they changed the smoothness/graphics with a patch, just the load times.

Shine on you crazy diamonds

DMC4 was awesome, just wish they had trophies. Crazy story and great gameplay. I have a deep love for DMC3 cuz I was hanging out with Molly when I beat it, which is dumb, but it was epic. The whole brother/brother fight and then team up and just so awesome. Bayonetta is from platinum and I love shadows of the damned i.e. RE4.5, and Lollipop Chainsaw wasn't horrible.

I might make Bioshock my next PC game after I get back to and knock out AC2. I'm going to try to finish off GoW 2 this weekend, though. I'm already about 1/3 of the way through. It seems like the first one took a lot longer, but that's probably because of all the shitty areas where I'd fall off stuff over and over again.

Actually this is my 3rd AC game this year as well, since I beat AC1 and Bloodlines. Bloodlines is a bit on the short side, but it counts, dammit.

Don't really post a lot but enjoy reading the thread.

Here are some Destiny Beta codes. Please post when you use them. Thanks!

Everyone wants those Bioshock 2 DLC map trophies, right?

Next Saturday, 3 p.m. EST.  Join, mofos.  And make sure you get a win on all the maps solo in a private match first.

You have to be my TrueTrophies friend to join, so if you're not, just send me a friend request on there.  rpg, I sent you a FR because I know you were interested.  I think I'm friends with everyone else who mentioned they wanted in.

Yesterday I bought both Vita LEGO LOTR for the $6 clearance price and watermelon Oreos.

We gonna solve us some debates up in here.

With all the Destiny beta talk (I'm a Hunter, BTW, since sniping's my jam), I forgot to post this very important update:

Shadow Hearts: Covenant is still awesome.

Your welcome. Again.

My man! Exquisite game, if I do say so myself.
I thought about making a comment on how you changed the price of LEGO LOTR from $6 to $5 in your quote of my post, and how it's a subtle reflection of your deep hatred of the Vita LEGO games by saying even on clearance, they're not worth what is being asked.

Then I figured you just have fat deleting thumbs when you tried to trim the Oreo part.

Figured this would be the best place to ask this.

Would anyone be interested in playing a videogame that pitted Israel vs Hamas?

Thinking multiplayer type game, pick a side and try to bring down the other group.
Have you played Killzone: Shadowfall?

Anyway, I'll assume you're being serious. The problem with a game like you suggest is that there isn't a clear enemy. Depending on who you ask (and, no, I'm not asking any of you assholes), the "bad guy" here will change. Unlike a conflict such as WWII where even Germany knows they were dicks, to put it lightly. Not to mention this shit is, uh, still going on? Poor taste IMO.

I'd definitely love to see a game tackle the subject in some other way, though. Especially if it came from a team over there.

Yeah I 1000/1000 Bayonetta on 360 but I'm sure it would take me a while to even get through normal again on PS3 since it's been so long. Ditto with Bioshock, I'd like to start it on it's hardest difficulty to make the Platinum go quicker but I know I'll get my ass kicked since I'm so unfamiliar with it at this point.

Is this at Target? I'd like to get the game for that price.

Part 1: I thought the same, but I haven't had an issue with replaying Bioshock on Survivor (which is a tick harder than the 360 I believe) so far on PS3, outside of the first Big Daddy encounter. And that one you can skip and come back to later in the game, I just felt the need to beat him there and then. As long as you scavenge everything, you will have enough resources to survive.

The Sequel: Yes, it is at Target.

Double thanks. Maybe I'll give it a shot in the near future.

yeah familiarity with the games is necessary. Its like I finish the game but don't want to play on super hard asap but then you end up forgetting all the 'skills' and 'muscle memory', especially in games like dmc/bayonetta where dodging is tantamount. I know you don't get to use slomo witch time during infinite climax, but I know you can use special items still. I remember the dark rosary or something that  leaves a lil explosion everytime you dodge instead of witchtime, so that would be good, also the amulet of mahla kahla or something like that lets you do the push left analog towards the enemy when they attack and knock them back move. I used those during my hard run just to get familiar. I checked tt tho, and I never even finished hard final chapters, so wish me luck I can even do that. I remember those two twin monsters and they were super hard bumrushers even on hard.

Grace n Glory then they get upgraded to Gracious and Glorious and that's gonna be even tougher... and they aren't even bosses...

Totally not meant that way, sorry if it came off like that. Just saying Thermopyle sucks, that's all. Please dont kick my ass like was recommended :) (also, please don't take that smiley in a MooseCorgi type of way)
It's okay, I did read it when I was half asleep so I probably interpreted it wrong.

Also, I wouldn't kick your ass (or burn my bra as was suggested, those things are expensive!!)

Yea, one reason I have avoided going back to DMC3 (from the HD collection) is that I don't want to be saddened by how bad I probably am at it. I used to be pretty good back on the PS2 and would invent different types of runs on DMD with some buds just to keep it fresh. Now, I would struggle beating it on Normal.

Yeah it's been so long but I remember parts of what you're saying. I think I used an item on infinite climax that made it where if you perfectly timed your dodge you'd still get witch time or something like that.

Some people really love to stick to one game. I mean Bioshock 2 MP is alright, but getting max rank after rebirth while it's the only game on your trophy list? C'mon son. You didn't even play the single player, man.

Oh man, I was looking through the issue of GameInformer I got in the mail today (one of the less-important aspects of being a paid PUR member), saw Hyper Light Drifter and Axiom Verge in their E3 Highlights article, and got all excited for them again.

CANNOT. WAIT.

In regards to our Destiny chatter, posted this earlier, in case you passed it by:

So, after being engrossed by Destiny, I return to CAG. This game will soak up my time when it hits on September.

Picked the Warlock, because I like the range it has and its abilities. Reached the level 8 cap, armor is basically all uncommon. My defense is 157, got me the Sahara AR3, which does a nice 62 damage. Sometimes fall back to the Galahad-B, but want the mythical Galahad-C. Finished all the story missions and have been tearing it up in the Crucible with a full party of six. I'll probably hop in to get some mp on, but this Beta only made me love Destiny more. That said, loot is indeed anemic in the overall world, which I hope changes in the final game.
