I got an iPhone 6. Suck it, Apple-haters! No problem just walking into Sprint and getting a (non-Plus). They said they had received no 6 plus phones at all - pre-orderers had bought those all up. I didn't want that jumbo-phone one anyway. Even the 6 is going to take some getting use to. It's a lot bigger than my iPhone 4. I was on AT&T, but decided to give Sprint a try. So far, so good, but I've only been within 3 miles of work…. It did take them about an hour to get it all transferred over and set up, but it wasn't too painful. However I didn't end up trading in my phone because their deal was not as good as I thought. They would have given me $200 for my iPhone 4, which is great, but with Sprint you can only use that money for accessories. That's bullshit. So I'm going to try selling it on ebay or whatever. It is unlocked, so hopefully that helps.

The whole thing with keyboards other than the apple one is funny as shit too. Articles are like this is the best thing ever. Android has had that for YEARS.

My wife just picked hers up... funniest thing about it, she went at 6 p.m. last Friday to best Buy and this still had all phones available for preorder. After all the horror stories from people staying up all night to get a preorder in, she walked right in and got hers no problem. Also the people at Best Buy said they were surprised because they had practically no body come in to preorder.

FYI, it is so worth getting the 64 GB now since it replaced the 32 GB, $100 more for 32 more GB's is a deal now!

there's kind of a lot of cool trailers/gameplay videos coming out of tgs.
- bloodborne looks cooler than I expected.
- that ffxv trailer guarantees that they're going to piss of some quantity of their fan base again which is awesome. that's when they seem to make games I like.
- ff type 0 looks boring but might be awesome. zodiac looks awesome but might be boring.
- phantasy star nova still exists apparently and doesn't look awful.
- re: rev2 looks like another dope resident evil game. hope you like shit jumping out of other shit. was the vita version rumor confirmed?

I've seen tables like that before posted around the net. Very cool. I wish I could have one of those as well as a sweet Mame cab too. Hyperspin (emulation frontend) is pretty sweet as well but kind of a pain in the ass to set up especially if you want all the video etc.

Or you could buy a real phone that comes with microsd slot and buy a 128gb card for 100ish and have way more memory that will then transfer to your next phone as well...

I'm going to try not to start a what is better argument, but the reason a lot of people can overlook the fact that a lot of features have been done by android already... the reason i don't care about that is because when Apple does it they do it right the first time and usually better. I have had both a Samsung windows phone and a Galaxy and every time I have gone back to iPhone. Now iPhone is catching up with all features and what the market wants (bigger phones) they are doing it right. Not to mention i am super excited to use Apple pay

 
I have a note 3 haven't looked back at iphone since. Replace-able battery and micro sd for the win! Honestly though iphone really screwed people this time around who want more storage, instead of starting at 32GB which a lot of android phones are starting to do they made it 16GB and then for $100 more you can get 64GB! Or you could you know buy a nice little 64GB micro sd card for about $35 and get an android phone.

On my note 3, movies, tv shows, comics, music, games I never play, pictures and not having to sync my phone when it fills up with pictures all the fuck ing time.

Maps, Siri, and keyboard options are 3 pretty large examples of this not being correct.

It all comes down to personal preference though. I just do not understand either group of fans waiting in line for the latest minor iteration on the product line.

Thanks Gator.  I was about to say that the argument over what phone is better is dumb.  Really if you look at it, almost every smart phone out now is really good.  Some have more and different features that might be cool, but they all work real well and move fast.

 
Never smoked, never drank, don't begrudge people who do, it's just not a pit I want to risk falling into and then find myself unable to climb back out again.

I still use a phone from the far away future of "2009" because I loathe being forced to buy a data package and it meets most of my other needs. Do I have the oldest phone here?

I'm all for anything that tries to push the issue of payment in the US. we're about a trillion years behind a bunch of countries in europe in that regard. apparently there's supposed to be a law going in to effect in 2015 that'll push the issue and apple's smart enough to not miss the train.

but yeah, blah blah google wallet blah blah. apple does do some things awesome, like make a phone that defies traditional conventions making it easier for less technical people to use. my wife loves one since she got it 6 months ago because it's so easy. they also do some things that suck. just like everything else.

Seriously Kilik, I know! I had a Galaxy, had 64 GB in it thanks to micro Sd, it was great and a feature I wish Apple would allow, but overall i like my experience with the iPhone more as it does exactly what I want it to, the way i want it to, and it does it very well.

Pharm, with the new camera, my wife and I use or phones as our family cameras so between photos, videos, and music it can take up a lot of space. not to mention when you update you have to have a lot of space, and if you play some games that factors in as well.

 
I prefer iPhone the same reason I prefer console gaming over PC.  Because if there is something released for iPhone, I know it will work on my devices.  I work with mutliple kinds of Androids and iPhones everyday at work and all the different configurations Androids have that throw stuff off pretty annoying(©Therm).  For instance, a deep link that opens an app on one phone will not open the same exact app on a different phone.  Too many configurations for my taste.  I'm happy you Droid people enjoy them, but they're not my bag of donuts.

Stupid Best Buy told me they weren't doing pre-orders for the Plus when I went last Friday because Apple wouldn't let them.  I have a $50 gift card coming to me if I upgrade there, plus $225ish trade for my old iPhone, so that's why I'm kinda locked in there with tight funds.

I need one of those. That's an amazing idea.

My buddy made a MAME cabinet that was pretty cool. Lots of games glitched out or didn't work though, so options of things to actually play were limited.

Yea they said no preorders on Plus, they weren't confirmed on how many they were getting so they couldn't do that. My wife wanted the smaller one anyway so we got lucky that way. Was glad we didn't have to lose sleep or wait in a line to get the phone!

Same here, had a $50 from the last phone i got, plus my wife's 4s gets $125, so we are pretty much just paying to upgrade the memory by 32 gb, she needs it! Has had her 16gb full for almost a year!

 
I've switched back and forth between Android and iOS over the years. For daily usage iOS is simply better, IMO. More responsive, easier to use, and the apps are generally of higher quality and consistency. There are a few things each OS does better than the other, but I do think iOS has the advantage.

So how many files/photos/videos do you have? And why wouldnt you transfer a lot of the old stuff to a HD or other form of memory? And are you a Japanese tourist (stereotype) that takes a shit ton of pictures every where you go or something?

The only problem with this is Google Wallet isn't as widespread in stores as Apple Pay will be when it launches. Not trumpetting any one over the other because I don't have experience with them. But retailers seem more excited about the Apple Pay and that will help it become more common place. Will probably help Google Wallet too as more people become aware. So everybody wins (except for Owl and his Zak Morris phone)!

 
I'd rather trip, roll, toke, etc than drink alcohol. Alcohol gets me drunk and I'd rather not. Too each their own tho.

Only time I drink is if it's like jello shots or viniq shimmery alcohol or if it's free. I havnt paid for alcohol in 10+ years.

I'd rather girls not be drunk either. Then they fall asleep or get lazy or etc. I'v only seen bad nights when girls drink too much.

 
I'm sure some of y'all have seen this, but it's a comparison of the 6 Plus to a Vita.  Didn't seem that bad, as I put my naked Vita in my pocket on occasion.  Daddy needs the bigger screen because of the old eyes, so I'm going for the Plus.  It's hard to watch all that porn on a tiny screen!

between my regular apps that I have, plus around 50 photos from the last year, not to mention the operating system, some music, a movie... i have used 11 gb's... i deleted around 20 videos I took and several apps just to get the 5 gbs so i could download IOS8, space goes a lot quicker on a phone

Drinking is definitely bad, but you have never had someone have a "bad trip"? And I am not sure what you "roll" on but I am pretty sure people have had very bad experiences with that too. Maybe you arent affected or know what to do, but a lot of people dont.

 
HOCKEY SEASON!!!  Training camps opened today, and the opener is only 3 and a half weeks away!!! :)  Sad though as it will be the first opener in 7 years I haven't gone to.

Drag throw telepod is exactly what it sounds like -- you touch the screen and pull back like it's a bow and arrow. Once you're used to it, the telepod throw becomes easy and stops being any sort of bottleneck (I used my right thumb). I learned it from the dev 'tip' blog post.

I only used touch tele. It requires shifting hand grips on occasion, but it allows for very fast screen navigation and made many things a breeze (for example, boss bullets/lasers were a joke). Little tricks you pick up shave a lot of time off of some levels (just tapping the top of screen to skip zig zag tunnels, etc). I even used it to navigate mission 48-50 -- just tapped my path (blue survivors), never had to adjust to the dual path thing, which made those levels a relative joke. It's also good if you miss a pod or something... just touch it to claim it, then touch where you were and you essentially grab it w/no time wasted.

 
I really hope NASCAR '14 is in the Flash Sale this weekend.  Not that I need another racing game, but I've been waiting for it to go cheap-o.  And now seems like a good time w/ the playoffs starting.

My husband has told me that depending on what type of alcohol I'm consuming (beer, liquor, or wine) I have different personalities
