I played Metrico for a good chunk last night for the first time since it launched, and when I went to bed all I could see was rotating pie charts and moving bar graphs.

Last night I finally got a purple Engram while playing Control. I decrypted it and got some coins or something not even sure what. Not a purple weapon or armor which is more of what I needed since I am only at level 21.

I still have to figure out how the coins and stuff work.

I will just say that you do need to farm to move past levels 25+. I'm at 27 in Destiny and I need a boatload of ascendant shards to level up my armor. Those drops are super rare and can't be bought.

Feels a bit empty when you're fully decked in Legendaries and exotics.

If you got strange coins, you want those too. I'd rather those than it just giving me a weapon since I probably wouldn't use the weapon. Strange coins you can use when Xur comes back on Friday to buy an exotic of your choice.

It put me in there solo so I decided to see what I could do with it and I got to the end but there's no way I can finish him off. I think I got him down to about 2/3 health, but with no one else in there everyone is focused on me and it doesn't take long for them to tear me up.

What difficulty are you on? 22 or 26? If you made it all the way to the end on 26 by yourself, I'm very impressed. You should do the cave thing though. A little boring, but super easy. You could also do the super rock trick if you want. Either way, since you're alone just make sure to bring plenty of ammo packs.

Cool. I really have to sit down and read some info on this stuff to figure out all these options and strategies. I have a page loaded up on how to level up your factions faster as well. Was doing Control but hit the 100 crucible cap for the week so switched back to doing a few patrol missions but only get +10 that way. I am 3/4 the way to level 1 so really need to find a faster way if possible.

Kilik showed me where the Cave was the other day. I farmed it a bit but not for hours on end. I have been doing the patrol on Earth so every once in a while I will run over there for a bit. Like someone else said we had some moron go in there and sit down so they stopped spawning. fuck ing moron. I was about done anyway and just went to the tower to decrypt the Engrams I picked up.

 
Tyler, I hope you didn't use that diamond (or all the others you found).  I realized when looking at my list that there are 2 diamond trophies.  The one I got was for mining one when I just threw it and picked it up.  I do still need the one for throwing it at another player.

 
We're only 2 episodes in, but so far season 2 of The Wire is not nearly as good as season 1. I don't really get that feeling of being anxious to see the next episode. For one thing it seems they don't want to let go of the characters from season 1, so they've got two apparently completely disconnected stories happening. If they ever connect it's going to seem ridiculous. And neither story is as engrossing as season 1. Then again it took me a couple episodes to really get into season 1, so….

If you're looking for vanguard marks, the best way is from the strike playlist if you're a high enough level to do the one where you get six per strike. If not, the best way would be public events on Earth. Running back and forth between a couple spots, you can get something like 16 an hour if you're lucky. Patrol missions give you vanguard rep, which is different, but still needed. Strikes and events give you rep too. The only patrol mission that's really worth the time is the one that looks like a star for killing a certain target.

Yeah I hate when people do that. But I was talking about the cave during the weekly strike where you can kill the boss without going into his room.

Season 2 is rough to get through in your first viewing. The dock stuff continues to be slow for pretty much the whole season. But once you get through you are rewarded with seasons 3 and 4 which are awesome from top to bottom.

I am specifically looking to level up my FWC faction. I did notice doing some of the Earth patrols and public events (had two this morning in like 10 mins) seemed to boost up my Vanguard marks. I think I had 23 or so and never even tried any of the Vanguard specific stuff. I have only done one strike so far.

 
I guess you can. Have three characters in Destiny get the daily reward for getting a gold on a public event. I thought if you got it on one you would just be locked out on the others. Then you can put those materials/coins in your vault and have the m all on one character. Guess I'm going to start the other characters sooner than I expected.

I never really understood why people seemed to dislike season 2 as much as they apparently did. I really liked it from the start due to the new characters that were introduced in that season.

Season 5 was far and away my least favorite. The newspaper backdrop just did not have the same level of interest for me. Granted, I understand why it was important to have the media angle after the topics of the previous seasons.

Just a heads up, in case somebody wants to do the raid, we're three short. Two of us are 27, one is 26. So Stotch, if you want to knock that off, we could do something starting tomorrow.

What time tomorrow? I'd be interested in giving it a shot, but I'm working until 530EST. I have Wednesday and Thursday off the entire days though. Let me know.
 
I don't have much excitement for the PS TV. I'd rather play Vita games on my Vita, and ditto any PS1 games, because they are going to look like crap on a TV. The gadget part of me kind of wants one anyway, though. Maybe when they clearance them out in a month….

 
If the PS TV bundle was with a DS4 instead of a DS3, I would probably buy even though I have already played the game (or both games in case of the WalMart bundle option).  The standalone one isn't in consideration due to lack of a memory card being included at that price point.

Eh, it's just really different from the first season and spent considerably less time on the drug dealing characters than any of the other seasons. Plus Ziggy is the most annoying character on the show by a large margin.

Upon rewatch I liked season 2 more than 5, but I don't dislike either. The newspaper stuff was okay to me, even kind of interesting. My main issue with 5 was how far-fetched some of it got when everything before seemed pretty reasonable/realistic. And they wrapped up the series in a super satisfying way.

No I still have them. I'm going to make an Enchantment table and a sword, but there will still be some left over for throwing purposes after that.

 
Fred Dutton on the EU PS Blog said the October PS+ games will go live the 8th in Europe and the announcement should be on or around the 1st of October, pretty much exactly what we were all expecting.

It's weird when the last day of a month falls on a Tuesday, because technically Europe should get their PS+ games the first Wednesday of the month since their store updates on Wednesday.  But I guess since US has to wait til the 7th they're making EU wait til the 8th.  Plus, Driveclub doesn't come out til the 8th anyway.

 
The biggest thing I want to have happen with Playstation TV is for them to add the ability to use multiple accounts without resetting the damn thing every time. That's such a pain in the ass. 

I don't care about PS TV, though. I'm not sure why anybody wants it outside of RP. The Vita doesn't cost much more and is a lot more versatile and will look a lot better than Vita games would on an HD TV.

I thought that said Fix the Cat at first and I was thinking we were getting some weird animal surgery game. Either any, it's a fucking stupid game to bring to plus and I'm going to kill myself if it happens.

Doesn't matter anyway, since my PS4 is basically a Destiny/Minecraft box st this point.

I can see me putting one on a second TV at some point. Not rushing out to buy one day one though.

 
I was just looking at some of the other trophies for Minecraft that are not obvious based on the description.  I came across a post about the 100 days trophy.  It appears we can not earn it while playing in Tyler's world.  If true, that really sucks.
