They should have had non Korra TV show fans review the game. The game is actually sweet, but it's in the 50's on Metacritic and it seems like everyone is harping on the story. Who gives a shit if the story doesn't add anything to some dumb kids show, play the fucking game for the gameplay assholes.
story is definitely for giant cockmongers. the story in hatsune miku diva f is completely abysmal. but I enjoy rubbing her head with my touchscreen to improve our virtual relationship so imma keep playin.

I have Bionic Commando, but haven't played it. It's listed on eBay, but I don't figure it to sell very soon. I'm close to just taking it down and just keeping it as a "just in case" kinda game.
If it does sell, If you can find a copy at gamestop (I found it disc only among the rack of discs in sleeves) you can get it REALLY cheap ($3), I picked it up again on the off-hand chance I decide to finish out the trophies some day since it is disc-only.

I should really pick it up on PS3, just to have. I played through on the 360. Love Bionic Commando. Reminds me I need to play RE-Armed 2 at some point.

Hey, I just sat back and watched last night, and done what I needed to. We finally have a good enough raid team, that even when not playing your best, its still insanely easy and fast. But I'm pretty sure I died at least 10 times on the jumping section.
I can't wait until we all have high enough second characters that we can just do it back to back and then I won't have to get paired up with stupid randoms who don't even know what a relic is.

I imagine that's why the destructoid review was a 7, because he didn't really watch the show (mixing up polar and panda bear) and was reviewing it on the gameplay's merits.

lol the Advanced Warfare Xbone bundle is going to be $50 off at Target and Walmart (and probably more places) on Day 1. $50 Day one discount is a sign that it's in huge demand, right???
In before Pachter claims that Xbone wins November because they were selling console bundles with COD at $50 off and probably giving games away on Black Friday. How could they possibly lose?

Yeah, Korra is pretty solid in the gameplay department. Definitely some frustration moments until you figure out how to deal with a new situation (at one point you fight two giant monsters that are big enough that you can't see anything during the fight--the camera makes the monsters semi-transparent so you can kind of see what's going on, but not well), but good combat overall.

I will say that the runner segments and the pro bending games are stupid, though.

My warlock is one piece of armor (an hour or so of crucible matches) away from 27. And none of it is leveled up any, at all, except the exotic helmet I had. So he should easily be a 28+ any day now.

Not to mention the Sunset Overdrive Xbone bundle is SOLD OUT on Amazon! Xbone will certainly win October as well!

*Please ignore the fact that the Sunset Overdrive bundle isn't even in the top 100 Video Games items sold on Amazon in 2014.

I want to hop in a raid with you all at some point when my character is high enough. But I have no idea what a relic is at this point, haha.

Yeah it's by no means perfect. Some of the segments with lesser enemies go on too long without providing any significant challenge and the runner stuff is kinda dumb. It also doesn't do a great job of explaining how to charge up your Chi meter to do stronger attacks. But overall the gameplay is solid. I just finished Chapter 6, I'm guessing I have 2 or 3 chapters left.

I know you're swimming in shards, but in case you didn't know:

Don't bother using shards on non raid/exotic gear. The light you get from just leveling enough to the point right before you have to use shards is enough to get you to 28. Then you can save your shards for good stuff.

Hey if regulars here are in the market for the White PS4 Destiny bundle, I just got a promo code from Frys that makes the bundle $399.99.

If you want the code send me a PM.

Even my xbone owning friends aren't even sure if they want Sunset Overdrive. I think if I owned one I'd be in the same boat. That game seems like a total toss up as most non Ratchet games that have come from Insomniac. It looks like fun but I'd be waiting on reviews for sure.

Yeah, 8 total. The last is mostly the boss fight. I didn't even realize the charging thing until I went up against the boss. He has 3 health bars and my attacks just weren't doing anything until I figured that out.

When I finally get back to Destiny one of these days I'm glad we got some players here that are figuring out the best way to upgrade. I'm going to be asking a lot of questions.

Don't worry PapiChullo I haven't played a raid yet since my character is around 21 or close to that level.

I hope the Destiny regulars will want to help me with the raid when it's time.

I still have no idea how the charge bar levels work, by the way. The number of charge bars isn't consistent with how leveled-up the element is. IIRC I had Air and Water both at level 4 but Air had 2 bars and Water 1. I maxed out Earth by the end, I think that was at level 10, and had 3 bars in it at the time.

I think it will be a good game, 75-80 on Metacritic, but it's going to sell poorly. Infamous doesn't do gangbusters for Sony, and there's even less of a crowd on Xbone pining for a 3rd person action game like that.

I got lucky and someone on my stream pointed out how it works when I was struggling with the 3 benders at once on Chapter 2.

Yeah you get extra bars at different levels for the different elements. It's odd.

I'd jump on that if Destiny's trade-in value was still high and I didn't get charged tax.

Guess I'll keep trying to be patient.

I'm pretty sure he was also blind if he thought that looked like a panda (that or he's never seen a panda before).

Save my shards, lmao. I have 40 right now and have just been wasting them at this point. Thats more than enough to fully upgrade my warlocks remaining gear. And having 2 characters raid-ready, I can only imagine them piling up even faster.

And I'm sure I will, because why not....but I dont even care to do the raid with my hunter, ever.

Why all this hate for the Hunter? If Bungie gets wind of this they will make the Hunter the only class that can push Atheon off the cliff. Hunter weapons wont be nerfed either because they want BALANCE.

That one kicked my ass, yeah. Mostly because of the Earth dude because it took me a while to realize I wasn't fucking up counters, you just can't block Earth attacks. Once I got Earth I started using that almost exclusively. In 7-8 I started using Air when surrounded as that lets you hit everybody around you very easily, but still Earth otherwise. Water and Fire just felt wasted in comparison.

lol r/playstationplus is almost entirely predicting Binding of Isaac and Knack for PS4 PS+ next month.  Everyone has been predicting Knack since what, December?  When Driveclub was canceled and they thought we'd get a full game to replace it?  When are these people going to learn?

And moreso, why does everyone want Knack so fucking bad?  They're all going to complain about it when they don't like it anyway!  Just because it's on a disc doesn't make it good people.

Also, one week til PS+ November announcement.  Woohoo!

Yeah Earth benders are definitely the hardest to fight, and yeah Earth and Air appear to be the only two worthwhile elements to use. Pyramid + Pyramid and Box + Box + Box + Box on the Air Element are both really overpowered it seems.

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been announced for next month already. Not sure why it'd be a discussion. :whistle2:k Though I guess wondering whether it'll count towards the normal game list or if it'll be additional like Drive Club PS+ was supposed to be is a valid question, I suppose.

How the hell could Microsoft have ever banned such a loyal xbox fan such as yourself. I'm kidding....cross-circle-cross-circle-cross-circle.

Anyone streaming early afternoon today?

Vig, I love reading your complaints knowing that the next few levels are even worse. ;)

Just wait til the ending of ch12, especially if you didn't like ch11. everyone of the 'haunted' has a firearm of some sort, and of course, a turret sequence, surrounded by traps and exploding barrels. or the fake ruviks that shoot bloody hands at you. (i just save my magnum ammo for them, 1 shot and they are down usually)

I can't wait til you or mild get to the ch15 battles, it is crazy town.

Why wouldn't it count as a normal game? It'll definitely be one of the two normal PS4 games we get next month.

The thread is actually for discussion of all PS+ games, but the comments almost always focus on PS4. Not sure why, maybe because predicting PS3 and Vita games are just too hard any more. I mean Arkham Asylum and and Chronicles of Mystara? Nobody could have possibly saw those coming.

Hunter sucks and really has nothing to bring to the raid, skill wise. I guess his Golden Gun may be useful at times, but still. A titan can use his bubble, providing cover while also buffing everyone inside/near's damage and/or defense with Weapons/Blessing of Light. A warlock can self resurrect when he dies, buffing all his stats in the process. A hunter....can use his 3 golden bullets to kill 3 small enemies in one hit?

I also think the hunter would have the hardest time making the jumps during the jumping section.

I think it would be more awesomer if we could get all those games from 2007/8 that we missed like Microsoft is generous enough to do.

Let's see...Halo 3 or Binding of Issac. Well Halo 3 was on disc so obviously it's better and more worth it.

Is anyone else in this thread interested in Freedom Wars on Vita? I'm mildly interested at $23.99+tax with GCU, but I don't really like how the closest city I can "ally" with in the U.S. is New York. No offense, New Yorkers.

Still dying for Battlefield Bad Company 2! I mean, it's on a DISC!!! And obviously I can't be bothered to stop in to my local Gamestop and pay them $1.99 for said disc either.

I'm so fucking glad I quit on Evil Within when I did.
I'm not. :twoguns:

DriveClub didn't count towards the normal game list, and like BoI:R it was announced as being free to PS+ last year. The BoI announcement also came separate from the normal monthly announcement for PS+ games. I've no idea if it'll be in the regular list or not, but at this point it could go either way.

I am, but at the same time it looks like it's pretty heavily geared towards multiplayer. I'm not really into MP gaming. I need to look into that more to see if you can play solo without any issues.

Oh, I asked this in the BB thread, but how well do Vita games retain their value from release to TIV listing? If I can get FW for $24 and then resell it a few weeks later without taking much of a hit then I'll be a lot more inclined to go for it.

You mean they'll announce it but then not release it? fuck

fucktards: just give us driveclub already and stop with the indie shit

sony: ok, here ya go

fucktards: this game is awful! no wonder you couldn't get the fisher price online working right. give us a real retail game like knack!

sony: ok, here ya go

fucktards: wow, this game sucks worse than that dumb indie game where you're friends with colorful rectangles. jesus christ sony pull it together and give us something good! give us the last of us!

sony: ok, here ya go

fucktards: I already beat that shitty game two years ago and the online sucks! give us something brand new, has kickass graphics, and that has a metacritic score of at least 88 or I swear to god I'll kill myself and will never be able to resubscribe to your shitty service!

sony: we gave you resogun...?

fucktards: (muffled gunshot and thump)

Yeah, I'm not a real fan of MP gaming, either.

And I answered you in that thread:

As for TIVs, they tend to vary. Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited started at $19 (remaining at that base value even during the 50% bonus) and is holding. I don't think I've ever seen a Vita game with a base TIV higher than $20 at Best Buy.

Yeah, I'm not a real fan of MP gaming, either.

And I answered you in that thread:
Huh. Not sure how I missed that response.

Freedom Wars isn't the best-looking Vita game I've seen by any stretch. Though it's hard to get a good idea of that on PC since Youtube doesn't let you make the view window smaller and t he image is stretched as a result. Aside from the graphics the game looks really really busy.

I think I'll pass for now, even though I'm pretty tempted in part because it's a retail release which Vita gets too few of.
