I have yet to buy an amiibo (mostly cause i only have 3DS smash) but i really always wanted Pit so i guess i have to act now if i ever wanna get him. I see he was on toysrus for a sec but now i cant even find him listed on the site at all? Luigi and Zelda are available though (wondering if those wont be as rare as the others in wave 2)
 
little mac is on walmart, but you can't preorder him :/ he's the only one I'm looking for outside of the rare three, rosalina(preorder), captain falcon, and lucario(preorder).

just got confirmation for little mac pick up for tomorrow at BB.  I had it pre-ordered pick-up in store.  Those of you still looking may want to check tomorrow when stores open for these.

Yeah, my TRU (east coast) had about 20 or 30 of them. I got him last night. At least 6 or 7 pegs with him on there. Doesn't appear to be low stock at least at that store.

It's nothing more than holiday fever. In fact, I'm so sure of it, I honestly believe that we'll see one more restocking of EVERY Amiibo after the holiday season is over. And I'm including Marth, Villager and WFT in that statement. It's all way too soon for this stuff to be gone already.
 
Still didn't get an answer from post awhile back - but has anyone pre-ordered from TRU in-store before? How are they about those? I was told they'd put one to the side with my name on it until the end of the day, but they never asked my name?  Also, I asked if they would notify me about when they're available so I can come down that day, but they said it was whatever the card said -- though clearly with these Wave2's that date didn't matter much?

So yeah, anyone had experience with this? Are they reliable? Do they put annoying stickers on the packages? Thanks in advance!

No really. I'm looking for amiibo deals, but that thread is basically 90% talk about how rare some amiibos have become, how to find them, and how everyone's collections are going. Not much in terms of actual current deals talk unless you know how to look for them/read everything. I knew (and didn't care much) for this deal ahead of time, but I appreciate the OP making this separate thread just as a heads up.

 
Is this in store too? I'd like to get little Mac but hes sold out everywhere currently. Maybe tru put some out for this sale. I'd grab diddy Kong with him
 
Ok, weird thing. I ordered a some amiibos off bestbuy with the free 2 day shipping. One of them showed up when it was supposed to, but the rest got delayed a day. I wasn't worried though, a day is no big deal. Well, last night at 9 there's a ring on my doorbell. Turns out bestbuy sent someone to give me those figures from my local store as a "delivery guarantee". I told the guy dropping them off that I expected the shipped ones to show up the next day, and he just said "then here's some extra ones for free since we missed the guarantee date". I had no idea bestbuy even did anything like that...

Definitely in store too. Was originally posted on Nintendo's twitter as a today only sale. I received an email from TRU also with the sale in it today.

Question, used the gyft $5 gift card for TRU that you get for using google checkout which expires on January 31 to purchase Sheik and Toon Link. Both of them come out February. Does TRU charge now or do they wait till they ship to charge gift cards and credit cards? Wouldn't want to lose that $5 gift card because they don't charge until they ship and it expires.

I've preordered games before from Toys R Us and it's basically like Target. They get more stock based on the number of preorders, but they don't hold anything back. Both times I've done it, they just open the glass case and give me one from there. I'm assuming this will be the same.

 
Nintendo has really screwed the pooch with these. I've never seen so much disorganization and confusion. No set release dates save for the first wave and even then some stores didn't get their allotment in time. Pre-orders going up and down across websites. Consumers having to do their own research to figure out which retailers had exclusivity. Different retailers getting waves of characters on different dates. Wave 2 having shippig issues causing the wave to be split up in three different shipments. If this were any other company they would be lambasted thoroughly but Nintendo continually escapes public criticism. How can a company with today's technology and foresight and months to prepare, manufacture and ship these products screw this up so badly? We should expect more of a Billion dollar company. Nintendo is your strait A student that snuck out of your house and took your car without permission and wrecked it into a tree. "I love you but what the hell were you thinking!!!"

I dunno man, clearly there is not a shortage of amiibo at stores. I can go to any gamestop or toys r us and pick up any of the core characters. I think they are doing exactly as they said. The lesser known characters just aren't being produced in the same numbers.

Marth, WFT, Villager are gone. Nintendo said there will be Amiibo's that will never see a reprint

 
I've been trying to pre-order the Rosalina amiibo but the pre-order button is greyed out. I was hoping to get two since Rosalina is one of my favorite characters.

 
I stopped by Best Buy yesterday and saw they had a few Zeldas. They're actually for sale now but the Little Mac and Diddy Kong aren't available for purchase yet.

If by "pre-order window" you mean 30 minutes at 4 AM in the morning, then yeah.

It's not sold out, Target hasn't put it up for pre-order officially. The breifs times it actually went on sale were either glitches or just mistakes in Target's system, because there's no way they completely sold out in 30 minutes at 4 AM.

So I went from having no marths to somehow having two of them coming to me. Whoops.

If anyone needs a marth, I can sell it to you for what it cost me. (34 dollars) whenever it turns up.

That's insane. My local store would probably spit in a bubble mailer and crush it into the mailbox out of spite if they had to do something like that.
