I don't remember if anyone other than bestkeeper and I bought Advanced Warfare at launch, but Best Buy has it for $39.99 ($31.99 w/ GCU) today for their Deal of the Day. With the holiday return policy in effect, anyone--not just Elite Plus members--should be able to attempt a post-purchase price adjustment.

 
Pier Solar has a potentially glitched trophy. Apparently people have asked the dev about it and they just respond with "Buy the guide!" Someone asked them how many shops there are in the game and they responded with 57 and then 58. Really wish I saw all this before buying it.

really going to have to start looking into these things before i buy games. might have still bought it anyway, but the company just seems awful. lol "buy our $30 guide that people are complaining they still haven't even seen yet!"

man it was scrub central out there. If i can go 10W/2L in a fighting game you know the people on the other side must suck. good thing I reckon since it's definitely not boostable right now.

Minecraft episodic, it's official TellTale has jumped the shark. Probably getting a shark tank full of money though.

PS VITA has been a very healthy market which is completely counter to the misappropriated console's stigma as a failure. With less AAA competition, it's easier to get store placement and store placement is what sells games. Over the past two years, sales on PS VITA have become proportionately higher than PS3. PS4 proves healthy as well. PlayStation developers releasing games in 2015 should prioritize PS4 followed by PS VITA.

Booted up me some Ground Zeroes on PS4 last night. Game feels pretty good but took a little getting used to. It looks great. Seems like a mix of 4 and peace walker so far. I think I'm about an hour in. I'm getting more psyched for full on 5! I'll be all caught up! GO ME!

On a side note I hope you are all preparing something nice for the dual birthdays in this thread tomorrow. It's not too late to get us something awesome :)

Last couple of years I've gone over all the numbers for how many games were released so far, just as a kind of "State of the Vita" post. I'm looking forward to seeing what's happened over the past year. I didn't do it this year or last year, but in February I'll also determine the yearly rate for 2012, 2013, and 2014 to see how the release rate has changed. It sure seems like it's sped up a ton.

 
i know you guys were waiting for the update from me. called nintendo to get my account back for the new system. whole call took a whopping 5 minutes, not bad. said it could take a couple hours, but give it at least 2 days before i call again. so the 2 days seems more the exception than the rule. wife will be happy though, last gen ftw!

I think the success of the PS4 has also probably had a positive impact on the Vita. My one wish is that it eventually outsells the 3DS, I realize that seems crazy but I have a feeling if it ever hits $150 it will see a crazy spike in sales. Or if they release a 3000 version that uses micro sd or something.

As is though it's the handheld I've been waiting for since the original Gameboy released back in the day and the best one to date hands down. I've already finished more games on it than I did on the DS and to me that's saying something. I bring it with me everyday. So fuck ing good.
