Not sure how he managed that since everything I see says it is still needed. Most all of the recent threads on ps3trophies for the game are about the online pass and people wanting to trade them (which I am surprised have not been deleted).

Also, last night Cleaner tried to start the game up before getting the pass and she had to quit out and go download the pass from the store.

I assume he must have sprung for the $10 from the store to get the pass.
Look up ^

I would have gotten it from GF to plat it if it was a possibility. It has an online pass, so unless you mean buy it from GF you can't get there from here (without paying for an online pass of course).
Yeah this was the sole reason I didn't just borrow the game from a friend. One lame trophy away from a plat without the online pass. I was going to wait for it to be on PS+ or cheap enough to buy. Being able to trade it to Amazon for slightly more then I paid was just gravy. I never think to trade games there. Vita games aren't even worth the effort to sell to BestBuy they never really seem to give much for them.

I actually liked the few episodes of Monk I saw from the first few seasons. Then his assistant changed and the few episodes I saw of that sucked. That actress is awful. Traylor Howard. Dumb name too. Yes mom and dad, name me something that sounds like trailer. THANKS!
Yeah the guy whose parents named him pharmacrest is going to complain about other people's names.

This is going to be the shortest week ever.  I have to work Friday but that's it.  I'm sure the days are going to fly by.

We should get the PS+ list this week though, that's cool hopefully.

Yeah, but when. Friday? Thursday? I don't really see it happening on New Years.

3 targets and a Kmart, and only came out with resistance vita and ufc trainer for ps3. Little bummed I couldn't get more, but ufc was a good enough fine to make up for it. Was funny shuffling through the bin, and seeing how many games I already owned cause of plus.

I need to start something small on PS3 while I work through GTA V and Dragon Age on PS4. Any recommendations from the Plus offerings in the last 18 months? I was thinking either Tomb Raider or Remember Me.

Going to be playing Child of Eden or Dark Souls the rest of the year so it's safe to release my best and worst played of 2014

or for just the list:

BEST:

1.) Vanquish

2.) Dark Souls 2

3.) 3D Dot Game Heroes

4.) El Shaddai

5.) Shadows of the Damned

BIGGEST SURPRISE:

Bloodrayne Betrayal

WORST:

1.)Doki-Doki Universe

2.)Destiny

3.)Crysis 1

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:

Child of Eden

Tomb Raider would not count as small, IMO.  Even just getting through the story without caring about trophies on that one takes quite some time.  If you care about trophies, it adds a good amount of time.

Remember Me is not terribly long, even when going for 100%.

Personally, I would try and look for something that is more of a change of pace from GTA than what either of those would be if I was going to start something else.

I know gator said tr is long, but you could actually rush through it in a few days and it is pretty linear and easy especially if you don't worry about trophies. I just started playing dragon age on ps4, pretty awesome. There are no mp trophies but iv already got my archer to level 15 and pimped out, just got a sniper bow too. We should play some mp sometime if you are down.

also I started up my ps4 and you guys are always talking about gatorbeergeek and his love of beer, so this seemed appropriate.

also prob 3/4sum cam show later, like midnite hopefully.

I'd have to look through the rest of my PS library, those were just the first 2 that came to mind. Not that I'll play it much anyway thanks to the PS4 games I'm working through.

Well I caved and finally upgraded to a 32gb vita card. $45 after the $5 gs coupon that expired today. I'm sure I'll be happy in the end not worrying too much about space anymore.

LOL! I saw that in my own history yesterday and laughed. Remember when I was bitching about the knife flight stunts a couple days ago? I bet 60+ of those times getting wasted came from that. I did not enjoy that as much as IRL getting wasted.

Glad I don't have work on Friday, but being here today is kind of annoying. Tomorrow and then get out at 3 on Wed...so that's good.

I'm playing Remember Me now. It's a nice change of pace because it's mostly about the story. The game basically just holds your hand and tells you where to go. Combat is pretty minimal.

Thomas was Alone is like 4 hours long and features 100 small levels which makes it easy to pick up, play for a bit, and then stop. Vanquish is 7 hours and quite fun. Spec Ops the Line is also a short shooter (7-9 hours) with functional gameplay and a great story.

Someone said I was weird because I got a popcorn tin and pulled out the cardboard divider and mixed all the popcorn up. I've done it this way for years. Surely I'm not the only one?

Owl, how much Destiny did you play before arriving at that conclusion?
Full weekend of the beta (however long it takes to do all the missions and max out the level on two characters), so it is a bit of a cheat I know, the gunplay is functional, but pretty much everything else about the game irritated me. The beta turned me around from possibly buying at launch, to NEVER fuck ing touching the game again, even if it were free on PS+. Doki Doki is only higher on the list because the game is actually broken and would crash every hour or two.

I havent gotten one of those or seen one in years but I never did that. Always left it and then ate different handfuls without actually mixing them. Sounds good though either way.

Thats actually a great idea, however I hate the Carmel corn so I wouldn't want to mix that in.

so yeah, im not the best dad. I gave my kids a ps3 a while ago and it was loaded with tons of ps+/psn content but the disc drive broke, which actually works out cuz then they don't mess up or lose the discs, but I just have them play it offline and it is all good.

but yeah Link Dragon is just about to turn 4 and he kicks ass.
but yeah, so my son will go through psn list and randomly pick up different games to play. so I caught him the other day playing spec ops the line. I told him, whoa this is too hard and too mature (gore and language mostly) but he wanted to play it anyway. so he is such a boss and he has gone through most of the game by himself. I put it on easy, but he has only needed my help on two parts and has done every other part of the game solo. I helped him at the beginning of ch6, the pit, just for a few minutes when you are all alone without your buddies. and then I helped him again last night when you have to provide cover for your buddies as they ascend the other building. I also helped him for just a moment on a turret sequence where he was having trouble finding the snipers against the buildings. oh and also helped him with the strobe light heavy mannequin fight cuz he was like wtf is goign on, but yeah, bad fathering aside, my son is super awesome.

also Nolan North as Capt Martin Walker is amazing voice acting. Further into the game when he gets more angry and yells more is such a pleasure to listen to. I love how he goes from 'get that target on your left' to 'fuck them up' :) character development at its best ;)

Anyone looking for a nice small tablet at a good price:

Groupon has the 2013 Nexus 7 at $150. Use code SALE10 to take off another $15.

It is a little older but stacks up well against the competition in the 7 inch and price department. It's got 16GB of storage and a really nice screen and DPI for the price point.

EDIT: It's also NEW not refurbished which is nice.

Also Castle of Illusion with Mickey Mouse is a short platformer and Stealth Inc.(which has a similar structure to Thomas was Alone, a lot of smaller puzzle levels to solve) or Hotline Miami (which is a trippy, top down shooter, murder game)

So I'm trying to actually get something done today. I'm in one of those 'virtual stand in line' things for the DMV where they text you when it's your turn. Somehow someone literally cut in line in front of me. Virtually. Think it was the Sony hackers?

We're going to get flawless raider tonight at 830! Who's hyped?!
I thought it was at 7?

That's definitely enough time with a game to put it on your worst of the year.

I heard Halo 5 is out already. Well the beta at least. Pretty much the same thing. Since I played the beta at a friends for an hour and was unimpressed it's my biggest disappointment of 2014.

Pretty good selection at my downtown Target in the 50% non-clearance-but-clearance vidya game section.  Had lots of the available stuff already via Plus.

Scored Ultimate Marvel v Capcom 3 for Vita and Lego Harry Potter 1-4 PS3 w/ free Blu-Ray of Harry Potter 1 for $9.99 each.  Almost grabbed Rayman Legends Vita & WWE 2K14, but $15 was too much for each of those right now for me.

I see what you're trying to do, but if that statement were true for any game, it would be Destiny.
Really? I must have missed out on a ton of stuff the beta offered. I mean I'm not trying to argue its the greatest game ever or anything. But worst of the year, based on the beta?

lol Owl, I didn't mean to bring that kind of attention to it, I just rarely see you talk about it. Thought you might have been basing that off the PS3 version. We usually agree on things so it's weird to see you place it in the bottom three. Unremarkable in ways? Sure. But worst? Genuinely surprised you feel like that.

At least we all agree Monk is the greatest ever. I love me some Monk.

Worst of what he played this year, probably because he was disappointed by it. Being let down by something that your hyped for is worse than playing a shitty game that you had no prior knowledge of.
