If you guys are achievement hunters/addicts I've been trying to do the multiplayer one (play every game mode) but can never manage a full game all the way through. Doesn't help the servers are utter crap. If you're down or need help with the co-op achievements or campaign, add me. Or add me just to have more friends. Has anyone else tried the trial of Juju and had issues with it? It has locked up my console 4 times now at various points in the initial loading. I haven't been able to get to the point of actually playing at all.

I was going to buy the full game, but this makes me wary.

 
OK, since there was nothing on sale this week that interested me I went ahead and bought PvZ for $10 before that sale expired. I'm at a loss...it's not very fun...the only plus I can see is I like the collectable aspect, collecting different characters. The whole running around shooting things got old after ten minutes though...dunno how you guys can not get bored with these PvP games.
 
I hate Battlefield.  Something about the player movement, gun recoil and giant empty maps or games that devolve into vehicle only combat were never really my thing.  That's mainly why Hardline is right up my alley.  I've been enjoying it so far.  The player weight/movement still feels like crap but the game modes have been fun and the gameplay is tight.

That happens a lot when you play Conquest alone, or when the match doesn't have enough people in it.

 
Played the Hardline beta on PS4 last night.  I suck at shooters and this was no different.  I used to play CoD back in the MW/MW2 days but never played a Battlefield game.  I ran around in the Hardline beta in the various modes with pretty much no idea what was going on.  It looks like it could be fun if you're into shooters and you have a bunch of people to play with that you know.  Of the 3 modes I liked the vehicle based one the best.

Meanwhile, back on the STATE OF DECAY side of things, I just stumbled upon this article from Xbox themselves with a little more info about the upgrades & revisions that I don't believe were mentioned previously:

For its Xbox One upgrade, State of Decay gets a fancy new coat of 1080p paint. New textures add an increased level of detail to the world, and the lighting changes make day more vibrant... and night more treacherous. The increased draw distance lets you see zombie hordes coming from way down the road, giving you more time to prepare (or panic).

But State of Decay is really about the people, and developer Undead Labs made improvements to them as well. New animations make both humans and zombies move more fluidly and realistically, while an improved interface makes it easier for players to manage items, equip weapons, and make snap decisions during an intense horde attack. On top that, some of the characters from the Lifeline expansion are now playable in the Breakdown expansion.

Oh, and you’ve got a knife now – a sweet, sharp-ass knife. So if your melee weapon breaks, you can go all Michael Myers on the zombies instead of kicking them to death.

I'm even more excited for this now. The knife thing is cool, since my weapons were always breaking. But the inventory restructuring is just awesome. That was my number one complaint with the last gen version. Thanks for posting this!
 
BF: Hardline beta is wearing me down. I liked it at first, but now it gets boring fast to the point where I don't even PTO but just see what kind of crazy stuff I can do in the game to get a laugh out of myself and my friends like last night when I drove the hotwire tanker into the side of a house and it completely destroyed the wall, and got the tanker stuck. Then an enemy decided to take the tanker when we all bailed out of it, until I threw a frag and blew up the tanker, the driver, and the house.

If they just fix the item cap of the storage lockers and/or how you can't 'destroy' anything in them without expending influence, that'd greatly increase the joy of hoarding stockpiling supplies in Breakdown, or whenever you just want to have 10 billion silencers handy. :whistle2:


I didn't think about the dynamic lighting until they mentioned it. I'm hoping that they don't go too crazy with the lighting at night in particular, the contrast levels on my tv apparently just aren't up to it on the 360 version and whenever I loot a house at night I practically have to jack the brightness up because it's so muddy. I get that it's high-tension post-apocalyptic ambience to have nearly black indoor settings but I'm hoping they didn't intend to go QUITE that far.

I completely forgot about the lighting issue. SoD and dragons dogma were the absolute worst for playing in darker settings, at least for me. I'll be very surprised if they don't take care of that.
 
Were there late adds to the sale or did I stop paying attention too early this time around? I remember going to bed on date night planning on blind purchasing Deadfall Adventures because there was nothing I was familiar with but now Darksiders (definitely) and Arcania (maybe) have my attention.

Glad I didn't buy Mirror's Edge last minute now. That demo made me want to punch my controller...I couldn't even imagine going through the full game.

Hilarious. I remember playing a "hardcore" game of BF4 where friendly fire was enabled. I was downed and one of my teammates came over to me. I thought he was gonna revive me...but he just stood over my dying body for several seconds, and then unloaded a clip into my face. For no reason. fucking psycho.

ROFL I remember BF with friendly fire. The most deadly combination. Entire games where both teams never leave their spawning points because they keep killing each other for getting into the helicopter.

 
Walked into gamestop to check the 3 for $10 promo, walked out after spending $40 on Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold edition but it turned out to be the special edition w/o the dvd. I probably overpaid but I was wondering besides the dvd im missing is the special edition the same as the gold edition? If anyone knows I would appreciate it

I think that's a good price. Last summer I had the Gold edition (w/o DVD) and I think I sold it on Amazon for almost $60.

I'm so glad #IDARB was free, because this shit isn't worth anything more than that.  Easy 1000g at least.

Starting Neverwinter, the menus look like something from 1990's pc dungeon crawler but the intro cinematic redeemed itself. I'm hopeful, be nice to finally have a fun console mmo.
