Oh beer talk I see..

I picked up a 6 of Bells Hopslam double ipa for later. It was a bit pricey at $21, but it's been a brew I've been meaning to try.
That beer disappears before it even makes it on shelves here. You have to get on a list to be able to even score a 6 pack. Some places sell it by the individual bottle only. I have always liked it, but not as good as some other DIPAs.

I'd pick up AC 3 if it's like $5 during the sale. That'll be the last one I'll get for ps3...I'll wait to play iv on ps4. I still want to get that MP grind goiNG for Brotherhood, and have Revelations to start as well.
You really should skip 3 and get AC: Rogue if you are only going to play 1 more on PS3. I know they might port it to PS4, but if they don't this way you will have played the better game.

Yo jkam

Just finished listening to the entire Quitter catalog on Spotify. Very well done recordings, sounds very professional.

I liked a good portion of the songs. Reminded me of a bunch of different bands. Was very interesting to hear the band morph from hard rock on disc 1 to a psudo-rock/pop thing by the end of the 4th disc. That remix song confused the hell out of me though. Thought my Spotify started some other album or something for me.

But job well done. I'm impressed.
Thanks for listening! Yeah we definitely morphed a bit over the years. We actually have some newer stuff as well but haven't gotten around to doing much of anything with it. As for the remix song it started off as kind of a joke but then it came together pretty well in the end so we just kept it. It would probably be a better b-side to single or something. I'm playing bass on most of those songs but I'm playing guitar on The Sound Of Your Own Silence. Seriously though, again, thanks for taking the time to listen.

Where the hell do you work that they can shut down completely because of a threat of snow?
Yeah either they make so much money they dont really need to be open most of the year or Vig has been hoarding all his trade in credit because he may not have a job for long cause the place will shut down at the drop of a hat!

I work at a university. This week is Spring Break for the students, so it's likely easier to close for the day since they don't have to worry about class schedules.

My wife works for the state and they shut down all offices for today. It's good because she's a pretty bad driver.

This is the reason why I dont care when government workers complain about their jobs. They can shut down govt offices at any time and not miss a beat. In my job if we had such bad weather we couldnt get into the office we would have to work from home or fly out to a resiliency site.

My wife's complaints are always about how shitty the government is. Some examples:

  1. My wife's using an old version of Access instead of a SQL database because the head of the IT department doesn't know how to install MySQL. This is literally the reason why she's been stuck using a shitty local Access implementation for years instead of being able to have a server-hosted database she can build a web interface for.
  2. The previous commissioner for the Department of Children Services resigned the night before she was going to go up against an investigative panel to explain why she had been refusing to release public documents related to a high number of foster deaths.
  3. Foster parents and trainers and such have to fill out surveys for a lot of different things. The surveys are subcontracted out rather than having state employees administer them. The contract with the company that manages them was written without any deadlines or penalties in place. Potential foster parents can write shit like "I'll beat the gay out of any kids in my house" and then the company doesn't send the survey to the state for a year or more, so nobody sees it until there are already foster kids in that home.
Fun stuff like that. The job benefits are good, pay is decent (though dealing with shitty old Access isn't a resume-builder), but the problems she has are more around the stupidity of the politics and management of the office.

!!!!!!!!!!

WHERE'S MY MINI ROBOT ARM WHEN I NEED IT?!?!?!

Harrison Ford crashed a small plane on a golf course.  TMZ says he's seriously injured with gashes on his head.  Variety says he was in critical condition with head injuries.

Foxnews says he is dead.

Not really. They just say he got a gash, nothing about it being serious. Apparently it was vintage plane, looks pretty cool.

Yeah, he walked away from it supposedly so I'm a little surprised to then read he is in critical condition.

Was watching the news (the one brian williams isn't on right now I think) and they said he had a serious crash, but then said it was cuts on his head/arms but they didn't make it sound serious? Really kind of curious as to how badly he was injured, sounds like a lot of conflicting reports.

Alright, you guys keep talking about Helldivers so I watched some more gameplay.  Is this something that can be played solo much or am I going to be pretty much screwed?

I can't believe I'm actually contemplating spending this much on a download..... ewwwwwww.

I played a few levels today solo... about 10% as fun as with others. even randoms are better than solo. altho I think solo might help with some trophies maybe?

If you're gonna parody the song, play the actual damn song instead of changing one or two notes per riff and pretending like you didn't. I hate when they do that. We know what song you're playing. Just play the damn fucking song. Parody laws should cover you if you're not selling anything.

With Lars if this got any traction at all he would sue them.

so she has the same issues as everyone with a job. Office politics and shotty management.

yeah it isnt fun playing solo as it is more of a strategy shooter. Some trophies are easier solo but not much and they can be easily done in mp

ATTN Eld

I set up a most wanted online game and sent you an invite if you want to smash me while I'm putting the kids to bed. You probably have about 25 minutes before my vita goes to sleep.

I don't really think so. There was this band called Beatallica that blended Metallica tunes with Beatles tunes and were mostly note for note or lyric for lyric and bothe Metallica & Paul McCartney gave it their blessings (the lawyers didn't though).

WHAT??? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO JACK OFF WITH THAT?!?!?!?

oh, we get the small one? cool
lol dammit Topside, I snortlaughed while reading this while taking a sip of lemonade and proceeded to almost die from choking *and* I splashed some right onto my crotch so it looks like I pissed myself.

I don't even want to imagine what my coworkers would think if they found me dead with lemonade pants and CAG open, given some of the GIFs we have in here all the time.

Yeah Soph. Think of what it must look like for anyone to read this thread without knowing anything about us ahead of time.

They have to be frightened.

Yeah but I wouldn't put him in critical condition like Variety did initially. Either way, he's listed in fair to moderate in the latest stories.
But the clicks they probably got!

If tyler had put up that he was dead then his site probably would have beat TMZ!

Man, if Fatty's ice cream licking boygirl was on screen LOL.

Went to a pizza pub after work and suprisingly had some Hoegaarden (well that was the only thing that I could remember that you recommended). Really enjoyed that one. Also got some Dogfish 60 min Head and a local one called Deep Ellum Blonde. Pizza was alright.

Let me guess, you probably liked the Depp Ellum and hated the Dogfish Head?

I am drinking golden monkey tonight. Good stuff.
Man I got to try that! Read a review of it and sounds like it is right up my ally.

Golden Monkey - Victory Brewing Company. Poured from the caged cork bottle into a tulip glass, this beer's head is four fingers thick with lacing, and a body.

Smells like white wine, straight up! Crisp, lively, and delicate. Yet still enough to keep you wanting to experience what this tastes like. Excelsior!

I taste, ding, right answer : that of white wine. But also alongside a fruitier, dare I say apple-like note in the backbone of this drink's malt profile. Can't really detect much hops unless they are playing a part in the wine-esque dryness of this.

This brew's mouthfeel is dry and crisp. Literally no aftertaste or settling on the palate. Very well done here!

Overall, I'll give Golden Monkey - Victory Brewing Company a 4.75. This would be damned perfect if the wine was a just a hair more profound, but I can certainly dig this. Even though I'm reviewing this in the winter, this brew would really hit the spot on a spring or even summer night. I recommend this beer and will pick it up again.

Are you still in the Dallas area? If so, try Velvet Hammer and Midnight Ninja.
