I put no thought into my bracket so I dont even know who I have in the final four other than Kentucky.

I or someone else like me who knows nothing about college b ball will probably win the group since its all pure luck anyway.

Only 6 out of 16 people in the group picked Kentucky to win it all.  That surprises me.

The champion pick breakdown:

UK - 6

Duke - 4

Wisconsin - 2

Virginia - 1

Villinova -1

Gonzaga - 1

Arizona - 1

Ho lee shit. Trials fusion base TIV is still $10 at best buy. $14 after bonuses. I think it was $12 or $13 when I bought it from gamefly ages ago.

How is that Richard Simmons video sealed still after what has to be 20 plus years? Shouldnt the wrapping just fall off at some point?
He had a full stack of sealed vhs movies in his cart. I was gawking like a big weirdo, but it was fascinating. Has to be an estate sale leftover or something.

This latest episode of The Flash was really good. That show just gets better and better.
Just watched the latest episode of Flash.

Best episode yet, cant wait for the next one.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Some douche on IGN gave the episode (yeah episode reviews, who knew) a 7.1. The comments were ripping him apart...rightfully so! It's a shame we will get a different Flash in the movie coming out in 2018...what shit that is.

Damn, none in my area.

My mom's work is fairly similar. 7 points and you get written up, 3 write ups and your fired. But the points do reset every quarter and I think you can reset write-ups as well. Planned stuff like vacations and appointments don't get you a point as long as you request them far enough in advance. So it's far less stringent. I really like it, I wish I could implement something here with my team but HR says I can't.

Your faincee's system sounds pretty barbaric and I assume it will transform over time. Otherwise they'll end up firing everybody that works there.

I do like that can't stay lake to make up work rule. Allowing stuff like that encourages employees to not be there the hours you actually want them there. I don't allow employees to make up time unless we are super short handed, which we rarely are.
I'd be fired, I'm late everyday...but when I do get here I'm a mother fuck ing whirlwind of awesome work so no one cares that I'm late.

I grabbed a Metal Gear V Collector's Edition because Vig said to get one.

Divorce talk coming and I dont feel like spoilering (too much work) so skip if you want.

So I finally did my taxes a week or so ago and got the deposit in my account today.  Too bad I gotta give half of it directly to the wife.

I made the mistake of telling her last week that according to the IRS site it was scheduled to be deposited by the 19th.  She has been asking me about it every fuck ing day since.  "Has it been deposited yet?"  I said the 19th dammit!  Is today the 19th?!?  No.  It isnt...well it is today.  Thank god they deposited it or I could hear her whining now.  Anyway the bitch never cared to ask about finances or anything before and got pissy when I bothered her about financial items.  But now she is all about staying on top of me of course.

She wants the copy of the tax return real bad too.  Meanwhile my lawyer just had to send her lawyer an email asking for her financial affidavit that was due to her by the 9th!  That was 10 days ago douche bag.  I got all my financials to my lawyer within a week and she promptly sent it to them.  My lawyer told me she knew he would delay this shit.  Apparently every lawyer knows every other lawyer.

In general the late rule is fine, but it just seems silly if somebody has a planned appointment that is cleared in advance by their boss.
These policies are becoming more and more popular. This one is a little extreme. The worse part is it completely destroys morale. The policy does not affect Mgrs, etc as they come and go. It makes the middle man or low level employee very resentful.

Tyler-- I am shocked that your HR department stonewalls these policies. These policies are unfair but are implemented by HR departments to protect against unfair termination lawsuits-- weird You are so right with your making up time policies. When I worked in an office it was so frustrating when people were always coming and going. It really stresses the co-worker having to cover just routine operations like answering their phone.

Thus why I am now self-employed--- policies like these make it so I can not work for the man!

HR, now that's a joke. Never protects the people it's really suppose to.

Yeah but the problem is what you mentioned...the corporations have to fight so many wrongful termination lawsuits that some companies resort to asinine late policies. Because really the problem employees are usually those that constantly want to make their own schedule. I have been a manager for almost 10 years now and it has worked out this way for my team every single time. My best employees rarely want to or need to leave early. They take a day off or make appts around work schedules. They routinely delay appts too when others in the dept are out. And they automatically pick up work for those others that are late/early or not in.

The bad employees always have excuses as to why they need to come in late or leave early. And complain when others are not in. And never pick up others work. "That isnt my job" "No one told me to cover for them" Yeah, thats why your still in that entry level position at 45 years old. Moron.

Northeastern trying to make a liar out of me. Winning by 2 with 5 left in first.

They are playing really well, some white dude is killing it down low. ND has their main guy on bench with fouls.

ND will pull away in the 2nd half in that 14-10 left in the game range.

Ticketmaster fees are retarded. Bought some $25 tickets for a wrestling show next weekend and with fees it came out to $40. Not sure if the fees were relatively high because the tickets were cheap or because they really intend on applying fees that are 60% of the ticket price.

I probably should not mention this since if he fills out a bracket he will probably win. However, I know I would want to know if it were me.

Pitfall, you haven't actually submitted any picks after signing up. Your possible points is 0.

thanks a lot Gator- %&$# ! I thought I might actually beat one person-- oh well #pipedream

He proposed AdaptationApril as our gimmicky theme to complete games next month. He suggested people complete 4 games where the content is licensed or comes from another source originally besides vidya games.
And one of the things I found when I looked some of them up, that the Metro series is based on a Russian novel series which began in 2005.

NE still hanging in there only down 4.

Should be closer but some white dude who hits 55% of 3 pointers missed a wide freaking open shot. I mean like wide open. Not one even made to go toward him.

Good game so far. UAB Iowa st has been blah. Tied at 18 though. Both 14s are giving the 3 trouble.

Thanks for this list. I assume Metro 2033 HD on PS4 would count, too, so that would give me an excuse to work on Metro Redux. Castle of Illusion and Ducktales would finish up the group, with Dungeons & Dragons or Valiant Hearts as the bonus game.

A guy at the thrift store is buying the movie Airplane and a Richard Simmons workout video sealed/new on VHS. That's some baller shit right there.
just looked it up on ebay, some Richard Simmons VHS tapes actually sell pretty decently, particularly sealed, in the $15-25 range.

Best part about the Iowa st UAB game is the fact that there is more blue than anything and the arena is half empty at the Chicken Bucket (yum center)

Quite a few people at the ND/NE game.

The issue is the uab iowa st game is in louisville and prolly like 3/4 of the tickets were bought up by uk fans. UK doesnt play until like 8pm so a lot of people aint going to the first session.

Most companies / managers with these ridiculously strict policies are crappy places to work for. I get can more work done from home after hours then I do at work with all the constant distractions. Some of what I do can't be done during normal business hours.

I get that if you deal with customers or must have someone answer the phone between certain hours making up time is kind of pointless. But for any other work that can be done at 9am or 6pm seems stupid not to be flexible.

Last manager was overly strict. He and I did not get along. Luckily he got fired before I did. Got great reviews before him and even better ones since he got fired. My manager tries to accommodate me whenever she can and I do the same. I want her to do well and stick around.
