yeah-- the official announcement was the end of January along with Charlotte. Raleigh had been on the link that Tyler posted for almost two years. Of course the situation is highly fluid based on dealing with state governments. It was one of the selected cities to start after Kansas City. I guess they figured with Research Triangle Park that demand would be high. I was shocked they picked Raleigh over Charlotte at the time. It makes a little more sense now.
Like I said Google is renting a building in Durham but has not released any timeline. Time Warner is offering 15/month internet with a two year commitment -- no thanks I am not cheap about everything-- just most things!
