That's with using a game-breaking leveling exploit.18.5 hours for an FF plat? That's sad.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. But a lot of RPGs become much shorter when you can insta-level to the max and don't have to do any grinding.

If you think unavoidable death is funny, you should play helldivers. That's kind of hilarious actually.
Yeah, I had one character that I leveled up, but I didn't play the whole game as him. I tried to use three "normal" characters so that I could comment on the difficulty and such for the review I plan to write. I got wrecked a lot, and the game can definitely be tough, but that super character helped out in situations where a boss would wipe everyone else out. I tried to use a mix of challenging myself, but having a backup plan, if that makes any sense. That's with using a game-breaking leveling exploit.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. If I actually wanted the plat I would probably do that myself since I want to play FF13 still and just thinking about the 120+ hours the guides say for the plat makes me want to throw my PS3 in the trash right now. That's with using a game-breaking leveling exploit.

Restarting the system fixed it. Whatever. The theme is awesome by the way.Buying the theme gives you a free gow3 remaster confirmed?
(guys, no)
He's not going to live past 40 so I doubt it.well that dude has been streaming bloodborne for 24 hours. So... I guess that's something he can tell his grandkids about.

I'm going to play them on PC partly to avoid that problem.Ah yes, I forgot about that. reddit says http://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/comments/305yyo/psa_you_can_level_up_before_first_boss/Anyobe playing Bloodborne figure it how to level up before fighting the first boss? Google implies is possible, but i don't really know what those people were talking about. Dont want to waste my surolus of souls/blood foolishly dying while trying to get back to the boss.

The feeling of obligation to have to get the platinum. What problem?
The annoyance of how demanding FF games are as far as time goes. I'd rather a game not have trophies at all than it require grinding to that extent. It's not FF-specific, they're just an example of some of the games that do that. There's no way in hell I'd ever try for the Star Ocean 4 plat, either, or some of the Tales plats. What problem?
Bojangles thoTaco Bell is ditching the Waffle Taco for the Biscuit Taco.
As for its latest offering, a Taco Bell representative said it’s “more than just a biscuit, it’s a warm, fluffy, buttery biscuit, folded in the shape of a taco” and it’s here to stay. Starting Thursday, people can get it filled with options like eggs, sausage, cheese or deep-fried chicken and jalapeno honey sauce. It has between 370 and 470 calories, depending on the fillings.

Looks more like a pita to me.
I'd like this twice if I could. Then I'd like it again.Bojangles tho
The trophy requirements are just a made up problem though. You're still going to have to grind on the PC version if you want to complete it. The PC version of FFXIII is dual-audio and can be run at 4k. Not sure which dub is better, but between that option, the prettier graphics, and the trophy requirements the PC version is just more appealing for me.
How many games have you avoided because they have optional trophies you don't want to or aren't required to obtain?Best thing about trophies is that they're completely ignorable.
This should be the next thread poll. And made public so we can identify anyone who answers anything other than zero. Those people are morons and should be treated as such. How many games have you avoided because they have optional trophies you don't want to or aren't required to obtain?
I do not comprehend what you mean?Best thing about trophies is that they're completely ignorable.
He's a douche and should have expected that outcome. At the same time it was kind of unreasonable to not let him put something over it or change his shirt if there weren't other circumstances around it.Anyone else find it absolutely hysterical that the hipster dude who got kicked off that flight is being torn to shreds around the Internet now? He posted all this stuff expecting to get positive attention and to be made a victim, but the exact opposite is happening.
The best part is that he's citing freedom of speech as the reason he should be allowed to wear the shirt on the flight. It proves that even college "educated" Americans have noing clue what freedom of speech is.
They gave him several options. Turn the shirt inside out, zip up his jacket, change it, etc. He said no to all of them, saying he has "freedom of speech." He then posted a video online where the flight attendants are heard giving him these options, and him denying all of them because of his "freedom of speech." Southwest absolutely did nothing wrong in this situation, and for some reason (I think they were expecting backlash) gave him a flight later that day. It's clearly in their policy that clothes with profane language are not allowed. I would've told him to walk home. He's a douche and should have expected that outcome. I missed that video and only heard stuff from earlier on when he claimed to have asked for those options and was denied. He probably did ask after they had already removed him from the plane and he had rejected them. They gave him several options. Challenge accepted...but I'm sorry (?) to say that Strider has me firmly in its grip until I plat it, so I'll be starting Bloodborne slightly later than I planned.I'm not a prodigy but I enjoy the games. There's other people here I'm sure that are better at Soils games than I. Im glad Vig and Pharm are picking it up. I predict Vig is gonna love the game and the go on a Souls platinum binge.
I've been taking the game slow as I can since I'm still getting used to not blocking everything. I'm not used to being shot with guns from some enemies.
This game is gorgeous and remember patience, patience, patience.
There's a couple of issues with it. The first is that the trophy card provides the same "beat the game" feeling that completing a main storyline does. A game's trophies reflect that you've fully experienced the game and did everything that was available. Without the trophies to show a completion percentage, beating the game provides that same feeling, but with it if I've completed the game but am at 30% I don't really feel like I finished it.The trophy requirements are just a made up problem though. You're still going to have to grind on the PC version if you want to complete it. You just won't get a trophy for it.
I'm still very confused about how something completely avoidable is a "problem."
I just replaced the PS4 with a PS3 and the 360 with a new Wii U in the entertainment center.Decided to put away the 360 and the older gen systems, PS3, PS4, and WII U stay out.
Pfft. You only have to play it twice to get all the trophies. I'm sure gator has played games where you've had to play it like 5 times in a row for the plat. Also, the online for TLoU is dope asIf you played for the commons like Wren, then I would definitely say try it out. Since you are going for the plat, you are not going to enjoy the consecutive playthroughs. Especially since the harder modes rely so heavily on stealth.
I hope that means that's coming out soon, I knew it was wise to wait Woohoo !Nintendo can suck an egg: http://tinycartridge.com/post/114507770477/the-non-xl-new-3ds-popped-up-on-the-fccs-site
I doubt it, they filled that the same time they did the XL. Were probably just covering their bases but also means they could have released it here and did everything but manufacture the system for NA.I hope that means that's coming out soon, I knew it was wise to wait Woohoo !
Man vs game? I'm not hip to who's who in streaming land but I guess he's not a nobody. Still going! He sounds sleepy.Who is it?
The US Twitter account just posted this news too. That super patch with suspend/resume, key remapping and 0% trophy deleting is dropping tomorrow per the Japanese PS blog.
I do not remember any games that I have played that required more than 3. Those were not stealth gameplay and they still pissed be off, so I assume this would be even more of a pain in the ass to do 2 of a stealth game.Pfft. You only have to play it twice to get all the trophies. I'm sure gator has played games where you've had to play it like 5 times in a row for the plat. Also, the online for TLoU is dope as.
Wow. Is this OCD? Or some other condition? There's a couple of issues with it. The first is that the trophy card provides the same "beat the game" feeling that completing a main storyline does. A game's trophies reflect that you've fully experienced the game and did everything that was available. Without the trophies to show a completion percentage, beating the game provides that same feeling, but with it if I've completed the game but am at 30% I don't really feel like I finished it.
The other issue is that one of the things I use my PSNP account for is to look over the games I've played and might want to go back to. I'll sort by completion percentage and then just scroll down the list to see if there's anything I burnt out on but still want to revisit. Olli Olli, for example, or Rogue Legacy, or Rayman Origins, or Catherine. I'll be reminded that there was plenty left to do and will go back to it. Games near the top of the list I know I never intend to revisit, like AC: Liberation for example I'm never going to take higher than 94%. A game at 30% that I never intend to take higher then just becomes distracting clutter in the middle of the list. I don't download demos on my main PSN account for the same reason--to avoid that clutter.
So yeah...the trophy list is one of the things I'll consider when determining whether I want to buy a game on PC or a PS platform. I'm not going to just skip a game because of the trophies, but for both of the above reasons if a game has an annoying trophy list I'll play it elsewhere if possible.
It turned out I kept dying on the last "boss" in Heavy Fire: Afgan last night. And it was because I was listening to music and not the game. You had to wait for the tank and copter to stop firing to pop out for a second and shoot and then hide again until they are done firing. I died about 10 times before I realized I would need to turn off the music and actually listen to the game. For such an easy game I sure am dying a lot..
