That's with using a game-breaking leveling exploit.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. But a lot of RPGs become much shorter when you can insta-level to the max and don't have to do any grinding.
Yeah, I had one character that I leveled up, but I didn't play the whole game as him. I tried to use three "normal" characters so that I could comment on the difficulty and such for the review I plan to write. I got wrecked a lot, and the game can definitely be tough, but that super character helped out in situations where a boss would wipe everyone else out. I tried to use a mix of challenging myself, but having a backup plan, if that makes any sense.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. If I actually wanted the plat I would probably do that myself since I want to play FF13 still and just thinking about the 120+ hours the guides say for the plat makes me want to throw my PS3 in the trash right now.

Anyobe playing Bloodborne figure it how to level up before fighting the first boss? Google implies is possible, but i don't really know what those people were talking about. Dont want to waste my surolus of souls/blood foolishly dying while trying to get back to the boss.

Buying the theme gives you a free gow3 remaster confirmed?

(guys, no)
Restarting the system fixed it. Whatever. The theme is awesome by the way.

I'm going to play them on PC partly to avoid that problem.

reddit says http://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/comments/305yyo/psa_you_can_level_up_before_first_boss/

go to the sewers, there is an item there that gives you insight (I think it is like Bloodborne's version of humanity). Use the item while NOT INSIDE THE HUNTER'S DREAM, once you have at least 1 level of insight you can level up

What problem?
The annoyance of how demanding FF games are as far as time goes. I'd rather a game not have trophies at all than it require grinding to that extent. It's not FF-specific, they're just an example of some of the games that do that. There's no way in hell I'd ever try for the Star Ocean 4 plat, either, or some of the Tales plats.

The PC version of FFXIII is dual-audio and can be run at 4k. Not sure which dub is better, but between that option, the prettier graphics, and the trophy requirements the PC version is just more appealing for me.

Taco Bell is ditching the Waffle Taco for the Biscuit Taco.

As for its latest offering, a Taco Bell representative said it’s “more than just a biscuit, it’s a warm, fluffy, buttery biscuit, folded in the shape of a taco” and it’s here to stay. Starting Thursday, people can get it filled with options like eggs, sausage, cheese or deep-fried chicken and jalapeno honey sauce. It has between 370 and 470 calories, depending on the fillings.

Looks more like a pita to me.
Bojangles tho

Finally snagged my Gold Mario courtesy of a Walmart store pickup tip in the amiibo thread early yesterday morning. After it wasn't canceled I was half expecting them to hand me a standard Mario but to my genuine surprise it was my shiny golden god.

The trophy requirements are just a made up problem though. You're still going to have to grind on the PC version if you want to complete it. You just won't get a trophy for it.

I'm still very confused about how something completely avoidable is a "problem."

Anyone else find it absolutely hysterical that the hipster dude who got kicked off that flight is being torn to shreds around the Internet now? He posted all this stuff expecting to get positive attention and to be made a victim, but the exact opposite is happening.

The best part is that he's citing freedom of speech as the reason he should be allowed to wear the shirt on the flight. It proves that even college "educated" Americans have no fucking clue what freedom of speech is.

Best thing about trophies is that they're completely ignorable.
I do not comprehend what you mean?

He's a douche and should have expected that outcome. At the same time it was kind of unreasonable to not let him put something over it or change his shirt if there weren't other circumstances around it.

They gave him several options. Turn the shirt inside out, zip up his jacket, change it, etc. He said no to all of them, saying he has "freedom of speech." He then posted a video online where the flight attendants are heard giving him these options, and him denying all of them because of his "freedom of speech." Southwest absolutely did nothing wrong in this situation, and for some reason (I think they were expecting backlash) gave him a flight later that day. It's clearly in their policy that clothes with profane language are not allowed. I would've told him to walk home.

I missed that video and only heard stuff from earlier on when he claimed to have asked for those options and was denied. He probably did ask after they had already removed him from the plane and he had rejected them.

I'm not a prodigy but I enjoy the games. There's other people here I'm sure that are better at Soils games than I. Im glad Vig and Pharm are picking it up. I predict Vig is gonna love the game and the go on a Souls platinum binge.

I've been taking the game slow as I can since I'm still getting used to not blocking everything. I'm not used to being shot with guns from some enemies.

This game is gorgeous and remember patience, patience, patience.
Challenge accepted...but I'm sorry (?) to say that Strider has me firmly in its grip until I plat it, so I'll be starting Bloodborne slightly later than I planned.

There's a couple of issues with it. The first is that the trophy card provides the same "beat the game" feeling that completing a main storyline does. A game's trophies reflect that you've fully experienced the game and did everything that was available. Without the trophies to show a completion percentage, beating the game provides that same feeling, but with it if I've completed the game but am at 30% I don't really feel like I finished it.

The other issue is that one of the things I use my PSNP account for is to look over the games I've played and might want to go back to. I'll sort by completion percentage and then just scroll down the list to see if there's anything I burnt out on but still want to revisit. Olli Olli, for example, or Rogue Legacy, or Rayman Origins, or Catherine. I'll be reminded that there was plenty left to do and will go back to it. Games near the top of the list I know I never intend to revisit, like AC: Liberation for example I'm never going to take higher than 94%. A game at 30% that I never intend to take higher then just becomes distracting clutter in the middle of the list. I don't download demos on my main PSN account for the same reason--to avoid that clutter.

So yeah...the trophy list is one of the things I'll consider when determining whether I want to buy a game on PC or a PS platform. I'm not going to just skip a game because of the trophies, but for both of the above reasons if a game has an annoying trophy list I'll play it elsewhere if possible.

Decided to put away the 360 and the older gen systems, PS3, PS4, and WII U stay out.
I just replaced the PS4 with a PS3 and the 360 with a new Wii U in the entertainment center.

Metal Slug 3 is a new release this week?

Feels like I'm traveling backwards through time.

If you played for the commons like Wren, then I would definitely say try it out. Since you are going for the plat, you are not going to enjoy the consecutive playthroughs. Especially since the harder modes rely so heavily on stealth.
Pfft. You only have to play it twice to get all the trophies. I'm sure gator has played games where you've had to play it like 5 times in a row for the plat. Also, the online for TLoU is dope as fuck.

Binged through Puzzle Agent because I wasn't quite up to Borderlands speed tonight, and it's pretty weird. Glad I got it last minute in the flash sale. Worth a buck for sure. Some pretty cool puzzles and strange ass story.

So I guess I'll add that to My March spreadsheet.

I'm ready for Valkyria Chronicles to end but the last chapter just keeps going...

I hate to say it because I love the game but it's starting to drag a bit and I want to finish it up.  Maybe I'll start on UC and take a break from VC for a couple days.

Uncharted really shows it's age. Amazing how far PS3/360 games came over that generation.

I hope that means that's coming out soon, I knew it was wise to wait Woohoo !
I doubt it, they filled that the same time they did the XL. Were probably just covering their bases but also means they could have released it here and did everything but manufacture the system for NA.

That super patch with suspend/resume, key remapping and 0% trophy deleting is dropping tomorrow per the Japanese PS blog.

I remember I was swimming in MSP from Circuit City and gave my cousin a 1600 MS Points card so we could buy a coop game. He chose Metal Slug 3 because his buddies said it was like a 2D Call of Duty. It was not. One of my biggest mistakes. We played it once since it was so hard lol.

The US Twitter account just posted this news too.

I do not remember any games that I have played that required more than 3. Those were not stealth gameplay and they still pissed be off, so I assume this would be even more of a pain in the ass to do 2 of a stealth game.

As far as the online I have watched many of you guys stream it. It definitely would not be fun for me. It seemed like you had to play the online in more of a stealth mode too by crawling around like a dumbass all the time. I already hate competitive multiplayer enough when it is fast paced. There is no way that would be fun to me.

I know it seems hard for you to understand at times, but people do not always find the same type of games fun.

Demon Gaze is down to $19.99 used at Gamestop; it might finally be time for me to get a copy... :whistle2:k

Virtua Tennis 4 lowered to $9.99, so it looks like I'll be doing a return-rebuy to get a couple bucks back.

Wow. Is this OCD? Or some other condition?

I also use PSNP to see what games I played and if I might go back to them one day. But it doesnt bother me at all to see games I know I wont play again. It isnt clutter, its one more game in the list easily skipped over. I actually really like seeing the 0% games as I know I really hated those. The 0 is a great reminder.

I might have spoken too soon about the commons in Tennis in the Face.

I just realized this Heavy Fire game has 28 trophies and EVERY SINGLE ONE (except the plat at 49.43) is above 50% on PSNP.    Even the plat in the second game is above 50%.  #commons

For such an easy game I sure am dying a lot. fuck.
It turned out I kept dying on the last "boss" in Heavy Fire: Afgan last night. And it was because I was listening to music and not the game. You had to wait for the tank and copter to stop firing to pop out for a second and shoot and then hide again until they are done firing. I died about 10 times before I realized I would need to turn off the music and actually listen to the game.

Also the guide on psnp states that there are 16 missions, but in reality there are 12 with 2 shooting ranges. I was surprised at how long the game was taking until the trophy popped after 12 and I realized the guide had a typo.

It is a shame they didnt have a budget for this game. The missions are some of the most fun on rail shooter levels I have ever played. Its very hectic and quick. You are constantly moving from one area to the next and there are some interesting situations like being upside down and sideways in one level. Fun, dumb and simple. Just how I like em.

So far really enjoying AC Rogue.  Finished the first sequence last night.  So far not annoyed with the land based stuff hopefully it continues to be fun.  I like some of the changes they made with the ship's weapons.

Fired it up this morning and it asked me to pick the language which I thought was a little strange (did this yesterday).  Picked English and then it went to what I thought was a loading screen and it did nothing.  I had to read some text to figure out they now wanted me to press start.

WTF.  I already told you to load the game and didn't learn a foreign language in 7 hours.  I thought the fucken thing lost my install/save.  It did push it to the cloud last night but I didn't want to waste the little time I had reinstalling the game.

If that is my only annoyance with the game I will be happy.
