So all the survival genre stuff... is there finally one not still in Early Access nonsense that's worth a look? Really wish one would become feature complete to see what they're like.
Most of them have tons of issues. Like indef said above, even when they're no longer in EA that doesn't mean everything was fixed.
Like Motoki said, Don't Starve is one of the best ones, but it's not a traditional survival game in the first person perspective which is probably what you're looking for.
I heard a lot of good stuff about Rust, but despite fakeybroing it I haven't played it yet. Seems too...trendy for me right now. Weird, I know.
The ones to avoid? Dead Linger. Practically nothing has changed in the two years I've owned it and the game is basically a shitty demo.
Miscreated looks cool, but server issues have prevented me from playing it for more then 2 minutes so I would avoid it.
The Forest is cool, but still EA and still tons of issues.
So far the best one has been 7 Days to Die. It's still EA but the devs have kept working on it, it was the most playable from the jump, and it has only gotten better. I'd strongly recommend you check it out if you want to consider a game in EA.
State of Decay is really good too, but it again is not your traditional survival game.
Edit:
And as proof, Aftermath just froze my computer when I tried to play it the first time.
