I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

When exactly did MysterD start referring to MysterD in the third person. Anyone else creeped out by this?

It was a couple days ago. I think he either tried to upgrade his OS to Vista, or he got infected with a virus.

Not much of a difference, I guess.

That does not look like it can be had at 75% off. So, you know… CAG all. Also, that does not look like pizza either, so I'm gonna have to tell you to GTFO.

Yeah, I mentioned it when he first did it a few pages back. Even I think it's a bit odd.

I still think talking about him like he's not here is also weird.

mmm labamba's. Being in colorado stuff like........well anything on that side of the Mississippi is horrible for mexican but la bambas holds a special place. Had one on campus open all night, that place would have a 30min wait at 4am, nothing better for drunk food than a burrito as big as your head. It made me the fatass I was in college

I was still amazed when I went back there after having been out of school for 4-5 years, it was gone, it was like the end of an era. I cant imagine how they would have gone out of business

So what is the cheapest Pillars of Eternity has been on sale for?  According to Enhanced Steam it hasn't been cheaper than $40, but that GamesRocket site has it for $24.95 (standard version).

I'd prefer to grab it from Steam since I have credit collecting dust, so does anyone expect it to go on sale any time in the near future?

Nuuvem has it for about $22.77 (Hero Edition) and $29.28 (Champion Edition).

 
been wanting to try Pillars of Eternity since ya all raving about it.

but should I play Baldur's Gate EE, Baldur's Gate 2 EE, Icewind Dale EE and Planscape Torment first?

I am afraid that if I try POE before these above, I will not enjoy them as much since they are ancient and very dated compared to POE

i haven't played poe so i cant speak on how it is compared to these games, but those games aren't ones that age bad or anything. especially w/the enhanced editions they graphically look fine, as the style is a bit more resistant to "showing its age" than other games (it's not like they're early era 3d games or something) and the gameplay is just fine as well. i doubt that if you play poe then go back and play bg2 you'll be like "wow this sucks"

To reiterate further, prior to the enhanced editions, the biggest concern of the early IE games was "Can I run this without everything running like shit on a modern machine if at all?". Otherwise PoE has some nice quality of life additions that you won't have in those games, which doesn't detract enough to not play them.

$20 was the original kickstarter and $25 was the 'fuck, I'm late' backing price. Since it has been in the top 10 nearly the entire time since it was released I wouldn't count on it dropping too quickly for a decent sale. There is no real incentive yet.

Obsidian Wurm Pet + Ring (Decent early heal 2x/Rest) + Obsidian Cloak (Does nothing). They are not included in any purchasable editions. You would need to find a key from a backer to obtain them. I have an extra key (Hero Edition) and I'm not really sure why, so others may have one they'd be willing to part with. I'm not with my extra though.

I know the Obsidian Wurm is definitely backer-only, but the other two may have been related to pre-ordering bonuses. I can't remember, but the ring isn't really that great.

More Pizza talk

while in Pittsburgh, prior to a Steelers game my friend and I stopped at the pizza place down the road from the hotel we were staying at...I figured sure pizza quick and easy...we'll get a large to go.

I then walk in to the weirdest pizza place ever, Beto's....where they don't sell pizza buy the pie...but its by the "cut" yes cut not piece...I thought this was strange enough as is...but whatever so we order I think 8 "cuts".  They box it and give it to us...we bring it back to the hotel room and open it....and this is what we got

cold cheese and pepperoni...and yeah...that is how they sell it there......the only thing I can figure is that I was so close to West Virginia that some serious inbreeding happened and they just thought this was how you make a pizza....i stole the image but apparently its popular there

That's not a dragon. They're much bigger. It really doesn't matter what you play first, but I touched on it in my post, expanding on an earlier reply to you.
