I have no personal opinion on PS4 games, but Metacritic scores are in favor for XB1 exclusives last time I checked.

 
Not really pointless and I'm not trying to troll.  Seriously.

My point is Metacritic scores do matter only in the extent of what games are heralded in history.  Tons of people here were stating the Order wasn't unfairly reviewed were giving 7s  or 8s.  A score shouldn't take away your enjoyment of a game, but the fact is it's sitting at a 63 and will go down as a forgettable game.  Same could be said for Too Human, Advent Rising, Dark Sector, or any other game like it.

Haze is one more example as well.

Thats fine, and thats when games become cult classics. Games that weren't well received but people who played it really enjoyed it. Ryse did not get great reviews either but people seemed to enjoy it.

Which brings me to my point this whole time. Its pointless to debate which system has "better" exclusives when in the end it does not matter at all what meta critic or anyone for that matter says when everyone has different opinions and different tastes. You're just going to get into an endless argument that wont stop because no body is right or wrong.

 
Did Ryse have tons of hype before the X1 launch?  Not sure if I that game would fall in the same category.

Why don't you go stare at a wall and subscribe to eastx youtube channel, because that's what this thread has been for months, the thread remains silent for days on end until eastx decides to promote one of his videos, exciting stuff right there buddy. It's clear you want this thread to be a kumbaya Xbox circle jerk, so maybe you should head on over to Major Nelson's blog or Team Xbox if that's the kind of conversation you're looking for.

 
Actually we have been told a long time ago this is not the place to discuss PS4 or console war crap.

So yes, Fearia is right.

It doesnt have to be all pro xbox, but it shouldnt be anything about xbox vs ps4.

Because this thread isn't titled "Xbox One vs. PS4 Thread. Console Warriors Have Fun!". It's for positive and negative Xbox One news to be discussed by people that can handle that without attacks and namecalling. Fearia is wrong about wanting only positive Xbox One discussion to be had in this thread, but that doesn't mean attacks and such like this are okay. If you can't handle that, you're free to leave or the mods can do that for you.

Correct and if you go back and look all I mentioned was the Xbox will have an inferior port of battlefront and the amount of time for a lack of exclusives on the system and Fearia is the one who started name calling and bringing other platforms into the argument.

 
I don't care if negative is said about Xbox One. But again, certain individuals only come into this thread to shit on everyone's parade. Can we guess who that is? Hint: the person who can't remember why this thread is supposed to not be a console war thread, despite the fact that they were told by a mod specifically that this is the case.

Fact is, you only come into this thread to shit on the Xbox One. Even when good things are being discussed, you try to change the subject and announce superiority of another device. The discussion was about Star Wars Battlefront and EA Access. Then you brought up that "it'll be the worst version and there's been nothing good out for Xbox since November". fucking really? That's not just negativity, that's outright inciteful of console war bullshit. The EXACT THING you were warned against by the mods!

Hey, I'll take my part of the responsibility for it.  I'm man enough for that.  In the end though, it's a known fact that RiPPn only comes here to shit on the thread.  He's done it non-stop in the past, was warned about it, and then starts back up again.  I know that I'm not the only one sick of seeing it, and I'm going to call it out as I see it.

There's others that do the same thing in this thread, but not nearly on the same level.  Which is exactly where my "inappropriate" jab came from about those that are commenting badly about it.  Because if the tables were reversed, they'd call out the opposition in the thread.  Just like I see timbo getting railed about from time to time in the PS4 thread.

I mean, honestly.  Why would someone have something bad to say about EA Access users getting early access to a game unless it came from jealousy?  That was the entire point behind my comment.  What is there NEGATIVE about getting access to a game early?!

Of course I'm going to call RiPPn a fanboy when he brings up the PS4 and does nothing but bash the Xbox.  Notice how it didn't come out of nowhere?  The first time I did it was after he brought up how the Xbox is going to have the "worst verison" of a game that has no tech specs released for it yet.  No announcements about possible DLC, or anything along those lines that could point to that.

Haven't done it in about a year until you decided to make it into something yesterday, feel free to dig through the thread history and prove me wrong. And why would I be jealous of EA Access, I have an Xbox One and if I wanted it I could subscribe to it, but I don't play sports games so it's junk to me and I certainly wouldn't pay $5 to play Battlefront a couple days early for a couple of hours. I just think it's comical that Xbox fans think this is such a major get for the system all because of that idiot Aaron Greenberg's tweet.

There is nothing negative about it. Nothing I said at all was meant to be negative. My point was that because of one "unclear" tweet from a higher up at Microsoft about it coming "first" to Xbox One caused a lot of gaming sites to overact and go "Battlefront might be a timed exclusive to xbox!?" when all it was is that people with EA access can play it 5 days early for a limited time which everyone should have known considering its an EA game. I mean hell even the tweet has @EAAccess in it. lol

I just thought it was silly the way the media reacted is all.

Oh, I don't disagree with that. That's why I only threw out a little jab as a joke. I didn't actually expect someone to go full kilter over it. But hey, RiPPn will do what he does I guess.

At this point, I'm done with it. He can be a negative Nancy, and I'll just ignore him. I haven't witnessed him contribute anything positive to this thread (or really anywhere else on the forums) in ages, so I'll just ignore him and save myself from the aggravation.

Hopefully a mod comes through and cleans out this thread and deletes all the junk out of it.

You added this after I already quoted you so I'm responding separate. You keep bringing this up, but have you ever heard of using the past to predict the future. All we have to do is look at Dices previous 2 games and know that they are inferior ports with no exclusive DLC and had marketing deals with PlayStation, sure there is a small chance that could be different this time, but you make it like what I said is completely unheard of. And again you say I bash the Xbox which I haven't done in quite some time.

Hmmm so my fried. That I bought a Xbox one for about two weeks ago! he hates it. I'm not sure why. He likes simple things I guess. Maybe he just doesn't like figuring out how to work new things.
 
Yet you hear that statement all the time, "yeah well Sony has better exclusives".

I agree that better is subjective although in today's world of video games Metacritic can determine bonuses and shut down studios.

Did he have a 360 before? If so, I could see not liking the Xbone's UI. It can be confusing as hell at first.

I fired up my 360 for the first time in over a year last night actually, and it is amazing how good the UI is compared to the Xbox One. One thing though was I wanted to change the tile colors on the 360 because that bright green.. Love the clear tiles on the Xbox One.

 
Yeah, there is a certain level of familiarity with the 360's UI that I love every time I go back to it. I do like the Xbone's UI, but it needs to be a sleaker design. I'm sure it'll come in time.

 
I'm not a huge fan of either, really. The 360 UI is nice, but I hate the fact that it's cluttered by ads. If you turn it on while offline it's crazy how half of it disappears. Xbox One UI is okay, but it can be pretty tricky to find what you're looking for at times. I think it could use a serious overhaul, similar to the 360 launch compared to what it is now.

 
I always liked the 360's original blade UI design, it was simple and easy to navigate. The Xbox One has a better UI than what the 360 currently has IMO, but still not as good as it could be. I do prefer the One's UI over the PS4 though, I think the PS4 becomes a cluttered mess once you start to build up a library of games and apps.

X1 interface is starting to get tons of ads now.

Can't go a day without seeing some game ad saying "Download Now" on the home screen. What's On is already bad enough.

 
I am excited to see what Disney and Abrams can do. This is such a perfect timing for EA and Battlefront too. $$$

Looks like it was discovered in the website source code that Battlefront will release on November 17th which coincides with a leaked Gamestop release list.  Should bode well for Halo 5 giving it a couple weeks on the market before it releases.

So, wife and I played some Goat Simulator. Local co op is fun, but achievements earned only go to the profile associated with player 1. So, if you decide to play this as co op and you care about achievements, make sure to login as player 1.

It made me sad, because we were having fun but my wife didn't want to have to do everything twice. So, we're probably going to play it as single player and do co op later.

Is streaming going to be just games, or will it be your whole xbox dashboard were I can snap apps, etc?

I am assuming I need at least Win8 to use this as well right? I am on 7 and don't want to upgrade until 10 officially ships.

Very nice! I'll have to download this when I get home, it'll be a nice co-op game to play with my girlfriend. We just got Trivial Pursuit Live last weekend and have been having fun with that, although it isn't as good as YDKJ.
