Destiny (PS3/PS4) Official Thread

So about the stream, they showed off new armor you can buy in the tower, but wasnt it light 36, just like we have from crota or iron banner? Is there new 34 rank to achieve?

Xur and Eris will be less useful. Now that you can buy telemetries from the gunsmith, trade materials from the speaker. But its nice to be able to use those ascendant mats to trade into motes or even glimmer.

There was no exotic faction class items shown, which i really was hoping would be released. :(

New weapons, auto rifles with higher impact, all looked pretty cool. Interested to see some of the new perks weapons have.

The ability to reforge HoW weapons at the gunsmith looks awesome.

The reef looked pretty cool, and its nice they have vault, bounties, cryptarch there so you dont need to go to the tower also.

HoW looked like it has a decent amount of content, maybe even more than crota.

My queen prism dancer shader will not be rare anymore, lol.

The upgrade system looks nice, and easy. Especially for exotics. I know i have over 50 exotic shards i can use to upgrade exotic guns.

 
Titan Full VoG Armor, Warlock is missing boots, and Hunter is missing the chest. Problem is I might have lost the Destiny mojo  :cold: . I try to go back in, but Bloodborne really has dragged me in. Haven't beaten it and playing with friends doesn't help either. We'll see if this content pulls me in again.

Once you finish bloodborne you will be back. It happened to me.

If accurate, then this is all good as far as I can see.

New light level should be 34 and the new vendors will be selling gear that can get you up to light level 33.

Etheric Light is the new mat you'll use to upgrade your guns and armor to the new max level AND.. there's no reset of your weapon progress.  If you have the gun currently maxed, then you just need to get Etheric Light to raise it to the new max level.

The upgrade system is available to all guardians. But it'll take you longer to get the Etheric light material since you'd only be able to get it from Nightfalls and Iron Banner.

And not 100% certain, but I think the Reef area (aka new tower) is open to all as well, not that you could do much without the dlc. The vid's up for replays now so I'll hafta re-watch it to be sure.

 
Did 3x nightfall got 3rd patience and time, 2 shite vangaurd weapons.

The elderscrolls online beta is downloading...39 GB!!!! wtf...

All the announced stuff is rad. House of wolfseses is going to rule. WOLFS.

 
I agree about House of Wolves. And thanks for the Nightfall. Only 9 coins is not so bad since I can still earn 18 more via the weeklies, and I only had 12 before tonight.

Hunter rank 14

Still no shaders or ship from NM.

Yet ive gotten 2 shaders and a ship from FWC within 27 ranks. Ive gotten 2 shaders from Dead Orbit within 31 ranks. But New Monarchy a combined 59 ranks and nothing.

 
Thanks to those who carried my hunter thru Crota nm.

Struck out on getting armor, but did get another Hunger of Crota (really???)

The VoG run from earlier got me the Helm and chest pieces. So I'm half-way to completing the hunter's set.

Now I just have 2 NF's left and 1 norm Crota run.  Hopefully I have better luck on drops.

For any folks playing on PS3, I made a clan. Search #acidforblood on the Bungie website to request membership. I "think" anyone can join the group, but in order to set it as your PSN clan you still need approval.

Just send me a PM here or through the bungie website (same name) if you're waiting for confirmation, as I don't get notifications or pending approvals sent to my inbox for some reason.

That said, I've still got 2 more HM VoG runs left to do, and a trio of Crota HM kills to get frustrated with.

Ugh, I played with the worst group today. VOG normal, post on LFG said 30+, so obviously I should've seen it coming. I join and they're all 27, and only one dude has finished it before...once. Ok, no big deal, it's only normal and I don't mind helping people out. They refused to do oracles legit and had to cheese it. We barely made it through the Templar. Then the dude who finished it before starts saying ok don't get this spirit bloom chest because then you can't get an exotic in the next chest. Ok, not true...but no one would believe me of course. Then he started telling him that the only way to get an exotic is to be the first person to open the gorgon chest. Again, I say that's not true, and he starts telling me he read it on bungie forums. Ok whatever...just need to make it through.

He said to follow him during the maze, so they all did...and died...repeatedly. Then finally I'm just like listen, everyone follow me. W get right through it, no problem. Jumping section goes surprisingly well, only takes a couple minutes. During gatekeeper, four people run in the left portal before I yell at them and tell them to come out. I solo the right side. We make it to atheon.

Then the dude starts telling people where to go, stand in the back because the people farthest away will get teleported...yeah now I'm pretty sure he played the game sometime in the first month, and never went back to VOG. I'm in the middle of explaining that this was patched a looooong time ago, but a banjo error boots us all from the game and we have to quit. I'm actually relieved, I couldn't imagine going through atheon with them. Especially since after the first teleport, everyone just started screaming that they didn't know what to do with the relic.

Like I said, I'm all for helping new people. But when a 32 joins your group, with all raid weapons and a 2900 grimoire score, maybe you should let him take the lead and believe some of the things he says.

Haha, thanks for posting your experience and for a good laugh, I know that familiar feeling of frustration. LFG is very hit or miss these days (at least for me anyway). I haven't been able to finish a raid lately due to an influx of new players or people just messing around in raids and not listening. I'll admit I'm more or a raid amateur but It would be nice to punch through some raids competently and swiftly.

I still don't have a freaking Gjallarhorn. Ugh. Stupid RNG. I'm cursed.

I've been playing Skirmish a lot more lately and it's pretty fun actually. It almost seems like one good player can carry a team and having a great PvP Machine gun makes for a big advantage on most maps. I can't believe I've been fixated on mainly playing Control PvP matches. So I'm really looking forward to the Trials of Osiris and that armor.

 
I would like to do a raid if anyone is up for it. I've never done it before though so I'd be pretty noob at it. I have a level 30 titan psn: corsair201

 
Did you guys finish that 3rd VOG run after I had to bail last night? I just know I was gonna get my Titan boots...I got boots both other times despite having them already  :-({|=

I suppose if 7 got his fatebringer he would have posted already  :whistle2:

Wonder if this can be done when you suspend the game, or does destiny not allow that? Will i be logged out after being idle for too long? I may try to stay logged in. Im going to be sleeping anyway LOL.

Last night got my first fatebringer! WOO, also got the only VOG raid gear i needed, Titan Boots, and i also got a hawkmoon from the gorgon chest, the VOG sniper, and my 3rd corrective measure. Yeah yesterday was a pretty good day for VOG.

Also i have 124 commendations to use when the HoW comes out. Gunna be leveling up factions like crazy! :D

Yeah 7 got his Fatebringer. That third try with only 4 after you left Jem was a mess but we got it done.

I ended up pulling my third Hawkmoon from the chest. Also got another Vex from Atheon earlier but it got dismantled since it was like my 6th or 7th. From our 3 runs I also got the pulse rifle, the sniper and the rocket launcher which made me happy because I was just regretting the fact that I dismantled all my VOG stuff outside of AE. I also got some Hunter boots with really high either INT or DIS.

I only have 55 commendations myself. :(

 
Well I'm glad you guys got to finish. Sorry I had to bail on that third run when things were going so smooth. My wife has some chronic health issues and yesterday was a real bad day. 

 
I saw you guys on yesterday running VoG with only 4. I was going to message to see if you needed an extra but I assumed you were just waiting for others to rejoin or something. Looks like you all got some decent drops, not bad at all.

I still need to do VoG (hard) and Crota (normal) runs for the week. I'll be on later this evening/tonight if anyone needs an alt for those. I may or may not try LFG but I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the past few attempts.

Almost every single raid I've done this week, the loot I'd wanted did indeed drop.....for other people.

Truth, Monte Carlo, Glass Minuet.......not sure but I thought I saw the VoG hunter chest poke it's head up at least once.

Oh well, at least I'm done with HM Crota. Finally got the HM Ship, and a 2nd crux I'll never use, and the HP Regen Warlock hat.

So, now that HoW is coming up I decided to start playing this again to get ready for it. 

I assume everyone has done their Nightfalls for the week? If not, give me a shout if you see me on.

 
Alright then, after a couple days trying to find people interested in getting the clan trophy I found no one. If anyone is interested here in helping a guy out please let me know and hopefully we can set something up.

The clan trophy for the raid? If you're willing to leave CAGcast and join 7's new clan me, him, Jimmy and a few others would be willing to help out. If so, just search for the clan Dance Guardian Dance.

Heh. I just left the CAGcast group myself. It's been dead forever so I figured it was pointless to stay around and the fact it was a split PS/Xbox group never made much sense. I'd rather be in a more active group and one that plans to take on the HoW expansion.

Managed to pull my second Horn from a Rumble match tonight. Did absolutely terrible, bottom of the list. Was so happy because that's the one weapon I want for each character that I only had one of. I'm sure everybody else in the match was pissed haha.

 
Need to do Nightfalls on 2 of my characters if any one is down 31 warlock and 29 Titan (I know not so great) should be on later tonight (8pm EST) if anyone wants to do a run :)

OK, so I've been looking for Crucible's Salvage mode but haven't found it.  But remember playing it a looong time ago.

Anyone know if it shows up on rotation, like every other week??? Or is it only in Iron Banner now???

It's the last trophy I need in the game after maxing out my gunslinger last night.

It's a "weekend rotating" game mode. This weekend is Combined Arms, which is a helluva lot of fun due to the MUCH larger non-meat-grinder maps. No clue when it will show up again, but I know now that it CAN be one of the Dark Below playlists (the upper right corner when selecting Crucible mode), so potentially it can show up on the Tuesday reset.

I hear you though, it was a shitty thing for bungie to do locking a game mode required for a trophy behind a "when they feel like it" wall.
