The rest of these assholes may be easy but good luck with Zimm and I. We have had shitty family lives and non existent sex lives for a while now and neither of us are all that cranky most of the time. Its a fuck ing miracle really.
That's true for Zimm, but you're ALWAYS cranky. That's why you're constantly bitching about one thing or another.

You hear that, sage? Gator just said the Bulls are the suckiest bunch of sucks to ever suck (more or less).

I'm going to make everyone as cranky as I am today.

I don't think there will be, but Horford >>>>> Noah. Even though I still like Noah since he was a Gator, I also realize how annoying he can be. Horford just keeps his mouth shut and plays.

HOW DARE YOU

Lightning vs Rangers yeah! The Bolts beat the Rangers 3-0 (3 games to none) during the regular season and a co worker of mine in NY who is a big Rangers fan says we killed them this year. It wasnt even close. Watch the Rangers sweep em in the playoffs!

Mitch, your dead to me. At least for this series. My coworker friend was in the building last night and said it was awesome. He and his dad have season tickets and have gone to all the home playoff games this year.
Those 3 games were all early in the season in a 2 week period when the Rangers were struggling. Rangers caught fire right after that. As much as I would love a 4 game Rangers sweep, I expect it to go the distance with the Rangers winning in 7.

Finally watched that banjo Battery cover. Was good until they started singing.

And I actually have that Fade to Bluegrass album pitfall mentioned. Good novelty record.

I'm sure y'all have heard of Apocalyptica. Basically it's four Finnish dudes that play heavy metal cello. Their first album as Metallica covers. All spot on, including solos, with no drummer. It's quite impressive.

That chick at the 0:39 mark is kind of hot.

Zimm, whoever else,

another good different type of cover band is Hayseed Dixie, they do like a bluegrass/country sound to lots of stuff.

I know how many claim that the Simpsons has gone to shit. I havent watched the show in probably a decade myself. It certainly will not be as good as even last year after this though.

They really need to just shut that thing down already. It's getting sad.
Its definitely been overdue for a retirement, maybe this will help kick things into motion however slowly it might be.

I hope you drown in a giant vat of mayo.
Don't tease me with a good time.

I wouldn't mind mobile so much if most of the games don't just appeal to the lowest common denominator. I guess Square is one of the companies putting out "real" games on those platforms as well as some others but it hurts to see Konami heading into the ether. We all grew up on games like Metal Gear, Castlevania, Contra etc. etc.

It's like mobile is the new excuse to do as little as possible and shit out a shitty game. It's kind of funny how indies are running to consoles and PCs now and the big companies are running to mobile. I know I joke a lot but I guess we should be thankful their are the Inafune's and Igas of the world who want to make real games and not some mobile trash.

That's right though - the attraction to mobile for these companies isn't even the obscene market penetration (everybody's got a phone in their pocket at this point), it's the low entry cost and the even lower standards. If they spent millions and made a full fledged mgs5 for ios it'd probably flop like a motherfucker because not many people want to watch a 30 minute cut scene on their phone. But if they made a solid-snake-in-a-box match 3 game by investing $30k in development they'd probably make their money back and a little profit. I have to assume the influx of indies to console and PC have a lot less to do with market penetration and much more to do with an affection for video games. You can see the labor of love in pretty much every one that's released whether you like the game or not. The big game companies lost their love for the industry a long long time ago and I'd be surprised if most of them didn't follow Konami out the door over the next few years.

You may be right. It doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

Seriously though I'd love to see what EA's profits look like on mobile.  In 2015 (this month actually) they reported that their previous fiscal year mobile revenue was $524m.  I can't read financial reports well enough to determine what that is as a percent of their overall revenue, but that's pretty big ass number regardless.

Edit - that's up from 2013 where their mobile revenue was like $90m.  That's also a big ass increase.  Maybe I need to make shitty mobile games.

They are certainly experimenting with it, case in point being Activision with Guitar Hero Live in mobile and using the guitar to play in a cellphone screen...

Doing a quick Google search their EBITDA for the year was 1.18 billion. So if the 524 million is accurate, it was pretty much half of all their revenue.

Me too shit. Stop using logic. I'll join your company though.

it worked for the jackass who made Flappy Bird.

Mobile is obviously huge when you can see a Boom Beach commercial several times a day on national TV.

And pay Kate Upton for her game's commercials.  I dont even know the name of the game, cause I just watch her bouncing.

Do Square's games even make money? I know they charge like $8+ dollars for em (Which is fucking nothing) but it seems like everyone has this mentality that unless a mobile game is free or 99 cents, then it is too expensive.

Card games are where the money's at on mobile. Any forum I've been on for any of those games have people talking about hundreds/thousands they've spent on the game. I'd be willing to bet that close to 500 million of ea's money is from the Madden mobile game(ultimate team basically)

Still, when you run in to something difficult you struggle with it for like a few hours, maybe a day? Unlike us plebes who might have to wrestle with something for a week. You're a video game wizard!

By the by if you guys need a 3rd/4th for ac unity my library has it with no wait so I could help. I can put a hold on it and pick it up whenever. I'm renewing re rev 2 in hopes that I actually make time for it. Has anyone else that's played it noticed that it plays similar to operation raccoon city?
raccoon city was lil more squad based 4 player co op. This is kinda similar. iv got re orc dlc too if anyone wants to do that sometime. iv got rev 2 but i can only play it when my kids are around cuz they like the moira chic and get mad if i play it without them.

I have friends who either are PC gamers or PS4 owners, yet play mobile games religiously, Crash of Clans being the worst offender. I've tried mobile gaming, but for me, I can try it once or twice, then it gets shelved.

Ok so basically we need Sony to make a Vita phone.

also zimm and pharm, you guys know about backpage right? i know a few girls from that site and besides the methy ones, they are all nice. I don't pay of course, i get them to work for me, but still it's a viable option for sex if you guys have the extra income.

It's just like the California Gold Rush, for every lucky SOB who strikes it rich raking in that sweet mobile cash there are hundreds who make a pittance or lose money.

My brother is addicted to clash of clans. He's not the worst offender payment wise (he's 15 with no income) but he still manages to spend at least around 5-10$ on it most weeks. Him and his friends manage to spend a small fortune on that stuff. Add that across the country/world and its no wonder devs want in on the mobile game business.

I've recently gotten into a Diablo clone called Spirit Lords that's pretty fun, but I have no intentions of ever buying anything for it. Also got hooked on that pokemon bejeweled 3DS game for like a month, but never spent any money on it either. I'd rather just use the $5 on a flash sale or something.

Sorry to hear Zimm, but it's always sounded like something that needed to happen. Who knows, maybe some time apart could help spark something that's been missing for a long time, and you guys will be back together again later on. In the meantime though you me and Pharm now really need to rendezvous at Miller Park

It's huge but it's not long lasting. Look at Zynga. They were big on the facebook game craze (which sorta of pre ceeded mobile gaming)

and now are starting to tank.

http://seekingalpha.com/article/3177926-zynga-still-unprofitable-still-without-a-hit

The mobile market is just a bubble waiting to pop. Most of their market is supported by less than 5% of their users who are their "whales" making all the IAP. Give it maybe another 5 years before the bubble bursts.

Yeah, that is amazing how they hook people up. Meanwhile, we get our panties in a bunch when they charge us for dlc in console/pc games (not saying there isn't stupid dlc).
