Mass Effect 3 Discussion Thread

Those are some interesting possiblities for ME4, if it pans out.   I'm curious of what the timeframe is for "Set in the Helius Cluster of the Andromeda Galaxy, removed by time and space from the Mass Effect "Commander Shepard" trilogy and its ending. Play as a "Pathfinder" explorer leading expedition with the aim of establishing new home for humanity.".

"Removed from time and space from ME trilogy" and yet "aim of estabilshing new home for humanity"?   Anyone else think it's set after the Reapers are done and Earth is thrashed beyond belief from the invasion?

I would think there is likely some tie-in to the previous games in some fashion, since humanity didn't just magically appear in the Andromeda galaxy. Well, this is ME, so it is possible.

I'll hold my excitement until E3, since there has to be something discussed there, since I think we won't be seeing ME4/MENext until 2016 at the earliest.  Holiday 2015, possibly, though 2016 seems so much more likely.  I bet we'll hear news about remastered ME Trilogy for PS4/XB1 announced for Holiday 2015 as a "for the two or three people on the planet that haven't played ME1/ME2/ME3, let us tide you over until 2016, when MENext comes out".

Heck, I don't think I'll be done with DA: I until the 2nd half of 2015 anyway, so I'm not in a rush for MENext for 2015.

All signs point to us finally getting some really details at E3 this year, but I'm not expecting to see MENext for a while (and I thought we established this as M4ss Effect).  Here's how it will go:  Announced for holidays 2016, delayed a few times, ultimately released on November 7, 2017.

I'll call it as Spring '16 for the ME trilogy remaster, with the timing NOT 2015 because they'll do it right because they know that's what people want, and then Holiday 2016 or Spring 2017 (most likely) for M4ss Effect.

Look, if they throw a book and a comic series in between all of this, I can live with this schedule.

I expect the new ME will hit in 2016 and a trilogy remaster will finally hit this holiday.  If those new details are true, the new ME sounds interesting but not sure how ultimately good it will be.

Only if we give a proper send off to this thread. My beloved, most favoritest thread of all time. No, I say wait until we have an official reveal.

I'm sure that once they announce the remastered trilogy then this thread will get a massive bump.

Not to put all my eggs into one basket or anything, but these types of leak are about as official as it gets anymore outside of major conference announcements.

Suffice to say, all of the information from these leaks have caused me to be quite unproductive at work.

I wonder if it's time to start an ME4 thread :whistle2:k
Agreed on the former, not sure on the latter.

Agreed, with the DAI thread in tight second and ME2 in tight third.

Time to wait it out until E3, I guess. I can't imagine we won't get something at E3 with all this rumoring going on.

^^^ who is this guy? ;0)
No idea.

As satisfied I am with Inquisition and as much as I've run around saying "faith restored", I still find myself taking a huge breath before jumping back into a Mass Effect topic. I'm definitely not bringing up anything new by mentioning my reservations, but...but...dis my baby. Ugh, I guess I have to go dig up the remnants of my soul that got purged along with "the ending that we won't talk about".

This "Pathfinder" concept has my full and unwavering support. I'm having a hard time finding a portion of these rumored leaks that I don't like.

Part of me wishes that this new trilogy will take us on a grand adventure where we discover a lot of ancient technology and secrets that leads to time travel, where the series will culminate in the final game where we go back to the events at the end of Mass Effect 3 and right all the wrongs that happened there. It was their plan all along!

Lol yeah it was indoctrination theory and time travel All along!

So Bioware had that faux-leather N7 jacket for $80 with weird dimensions or a N7 real leather jacket that I found one, http://www.fitjackets.com/products/N7-Mass-Effect-Jacket.html, for $110. I'm very tempted...

Edit:Hmm says synthetic leather.

I'm looking into doing a custom order with http://thejacketmaker.com/ although I don't know the price, was talked about in the Faux-leather Facebook Jacket post.

Holy crap, that thejacketmaker.com website has so many cool coats, my wallet ran away and hid.

I think you might look at having them do a custom order of some kind, though I think you're going to be in the $200-$300 at the minimum.

I think E3 is a lock for at least something official. Name, logo, and CGI teaser at minimum. Hopefully something more substantial, maybe a look at some of the characters. Maybe even gameplay, but my hopes aren't too high. If we don't get a real title at E3 I'm just going to start referring to it as Mass Effect Versus XIII.

Or The Last Mass Effect Guardian.

Those new mass effect shirts are great! I think I'm going to have to buy a couple of those! And, is it just me or did the background graphic change at www.biowarestore.com? It doesn't look like the dragon age inquisition theme.

Spybreak, if that's the case, then that would be awesome beyond words.  We've seen enough teases from Bioware to keep expectations in check, though if they don't reveal something real and concrete at E3, they're getting kicked in the Ps.

I ordered a couple of N7 decals off etsy
One's on my Asus laptop, one's on my bike and decided to put the other one & alliance sticker - AustinStickerCompany gave me an extra alliance vinyl sticker for a somewhat big order - on my Xbox, which I had skinned a few weeks ago from dbrand.com!

I agree this could work really well.

I also agree with Shrike in that with the teasing Bioware has been doing on twitter, if we get no news at E3, ima be pissed!
What I hope for at E3:

1) Release date for The Last Mass Effect Guardian / MENext / ME4.

2) Background of the story.

3) Any info about ME1-3 Remastered (if exists) and when it comes out (if exists), plus if game saves can move across platforms (360 - >X1 / PS3 -> PS4).

I tend to agree ^    The coolest high-end ME collectible I've seen is the Reaper statue.  I think MSUHitman or Action! picked that up.  Long sold out now, but dang that was cool.

There is way too much stuff to buy between ME and DA for collector items that would be in the realm of a car payment or more.

Dam these things called bills that take all my money.

You know how most CAGs buy every game on sale and then never get around to playing it? I just don't do that, and use the extra money for collector items instead.

I finally tried ME3 on the WiiU today.  The verdict?  Good Lord ME3 is an amazing game.  The game starts with the good old ME1 start screen music and that instantly melted me.  Plus, some DLC is included, like the Genesis comic DLC.  However, the game controls horribly with the WiiU gamepad.  I got motion sickness and everything.

So, play on your 360 or PS3 and enjoy.  :joystick:
