Rocket League adding Sweet Tooth has me intrigued.  I didnt get to watch you guys play it but since you all rave about it I may need to get it to.  When Twisted Metal came out I was blown away and of course Sweet Tooth was great.  Twisted Metal is the major reason I fell in love with Playstation.

Helldivers 2.01 patch notes, for anyone that still cares:

This is such bullshit:

  • The Illuminate Obelisk walls will now stop at vehicles and objectives, and will no longer destroy objectives

What's the point then? The fencing of teammates was a good touch but there was an enormous degree of risk when they'd popup when you're in a vehicle. Now you can just point your vehicle at them and start blasting away. I get the objective destroying, that was kind of cheap but I still liked it.

WOOHOO Rocket League!

Comes out on Plus day, so there's always a chance...
Such a large scale beta for a downloadable game would make sense for it to be on Plus. I was pretty surprised they did that for just your every day PSN Only arcade racing sports mashup title. If they know it has to handle a very large user base all at once, it makes a lot more sense.

No this is not a prediction, just thinking out loud.

Yup, Rocket League looks sweet. Never played the PS3 equivalent. As minor as it is, the inclusion of Sweet Tooth seals the deal.
I guess you guys answered my question before I could ask it. I wondered if anyone really gave a shit that they included Sweet Tooth.

I was considering getting it anyway since I know you guys liked it and a lot of you will be playing it. If its $20 I will pass, but if it has a good discount and a lot of P SNOTs will be playing it I will get it. Sweet Tooth just makes it a bit cooler

I like that it has cross platform play with PC so it expands the amount of playable users. Hopefully that'll lead to the community staying alive a little bit longer.

Same here. I sank hundreds of hours in TM 2/3 as a kid. A shame the PS3 reboot did so poorly. I thought it was a lot of fun. They dropped the ball by only having 3 "characters", but the gameplay was fine. I guess there's just not much interest in the genre anymore.

Pumped FO4 is finally here, less thrilled with the trailer.

In other words....

But isn't Fallout 3 on PS3 worse? It's still progress.
I am sorry but if Rockstar can make their games run damn near flawlessly with the detail and massive amount of content they include, Bethesda has no excuse and I will never play a game they make that has these issues.

Thankfully I dont really care about Fallout and Elder Scrolls. So there is that...

Confession time: I never played Fallout 3.

Also, it was a deal on Fallout New Vegas ($9.99 at BB) that first led me to joining this site.
I've never played any Fallout game. And I think I still have a wrapped Fallout 2 box that I bought back when it came out in the 90s and just never got around to. It looked good, though.

Nope, FO3 wasn't nearly as broken as Skyrim. I played through it three times and worst thing that happened to me was getting stuck in the environment a few times.

You would have been closer if you said New Vegas, but Skyrim still beats that too.

Assuming Fallout 4 runs well I'd say jumping in now is the perfect time especially since the PS3 versions sucked. No previous knowledge required.

As I said, I'm going to give Bethesda the benefit of the doubt, but if Best Buy adds Fallout 4 to their $10 cert promo, at least it'll be a cheap rental to trade in if it turns out glitchy/buggy.

Interesting--I didn't know that. I (foolishly) figured that Bethesda would have improved over time, but apparently that wasn't the case.

Definitely gonna grab rocket league. Plus discount at launch would be nice, free plus title at launch would be nicer. Beta was a lot of fun though, even without the customizable cars. That'll be awesome. I played so much twisted metal as a kid, sweet tooth will be a nice inclusion, I don't think I ever played too much as him though.

I guess I need to be on probation in the thread. I didn't purchase all the PLUS games yesterday! I'm making amends and grabbing everything now.

Dumb Question: I've never had anything MOVE related. If I want to play some "Light Gun" games like House of the Dead overkill or those RE shooting gallery games what do I need? Just a ball wand or the nav controller too? What's the best gun like attachment that's small? The Red Sony one?

Fared better? After what, six patches, it still has issues on PS3. That's not slightly better.
Wow really? Good thing I have it on Xbox 360. That being said, I'm getting Fallout 4 on XBox One. The system is looking pretty good with Far Cry 4 out now and new Gears of War and exclusive Tomb Raider coming.

Also, I like Fallout 3 (New Vegas, from the little I played, seems like more of the same) yet I hate Elder Scrolls. Oblivion was so boring that I haven't even bothered trying Skyrim.

Ah Fallout 3. It's the only game where I enjoyed playing it ... then delete it from being frustrated at a certain part ... then re-downloading it and enjoying it again .... then rage quitting later and deleting the game.

And buying the disc version later and feeling good again.

(I have no idea.)

Depends on the game. Some light gun games still use a Navi for movement and cover. Most use just the Move controller itself though. The best gun attachment is to not use one and just point the Move controller and use its built in trigger.

With the tendency for issues that Bethesda games have, I'd recommend not jumping into any version of FO4 and instead waiting to see what bugs people report before you decide which version to buy.

I thought Morrowind was terribly boring and haven't gotten to Oblivion or Skyrim because of it. I've heard Skyrim is tons better than Oblivion, though, so you might want to give Skyrim a try.

My question is once it is out and there are trophies, are you going to play Rocket League for fun, or are you just going to boost the trophies and then delete it?

Glad to see more cross buy games all the time now.  When they first announced Vita and the cross play stuff I was surprised by the lack of cross buy games.  I just figured Sony would push all games to be multi platform and cross buy so they could push more Vita and console sales.

Can you confirm that these 4 are all from vs mode? Or are they just strangely worded?

I Will Survive
Survive your own rampage and then defeat opponent on their rampage. 0.00%
God Loves A Coward
Force a draw in VS mode with only 1 animal left. 2nd Jun 2015
8:29:25 PM 0.00%
What Does This Switch Do? Ah.....
Defeat an opponent using Rhinos. 0.00%
Rollin
Defeat an opponent using Pandas.
yeah man those are all in vs mode. pandas and rhinos are the bullets/boulders. i will survive and and god loves a coward are pretty easy too.

It's no excuse to the developers, but why not just wait til the games been out for awhile before buying it when a few patches have been released. It'll be cheaper by then or at leaSt a goty edition. I purposely didn't get skyrim right away because I knew it'd have problems even though I really wanted to play it. Patience people!

Mighty #9 is going to be cross-buy on all 3 platforms.

Also available retail for PS4. Link shows all the stuff it comes with, as well as detailing the $60 CE.
Oh sweet, it says that the retail PS4 version will also be crossbuy somehow (probably a code for the game in the box). Making my 50% off preorder of it at Best Buy even sweeter!

I've not been able to find a comprehensive list, but I believe the vast majority of cross-buy titles are non-Sony. It's pretty ridiculous, tbh.

I would bet money that Fallout 4 on PS4 runs better at launch than either Fallout or Skyrim on PS3. Not saying it'll be perfect, but it'll be better than those were at launch.

Why don't we all play some supersonic scrobatic battle cars to get ready for rocket league!

Those developers are awesome so I could definitely see it being a freebie next month

I'm not sure if I should preorder the Mighty No. 9 CE for $48 assuming Best Buy will carry it ("all retailers" should be getting it according to a comment on that blog post). Paying twice as much as the standalone game ($24 w/ GCU) for a doofy-looking figurine and signature seems a bit much.

...Now that I typed that out, I'll pass on it. My library will hopefully get the retail version anyway, so I'll go that route.
