So VIG, why exactly do the PS3/360 version of DA:I trade in for so much more then the PS4/XB1 versions?
More people overall bought the PS4/XB1 versions and traded them in to GS over time. You can see the same kind of thing with Watch Dogs on 360--that version has a $12 base while the XB1 version has a $2 base. It's probably the only good thing about those inferior versions.

Destructoid's review of the Batgirl DLC for AK: http://www.destructoid.com/review-batman-arkham-knight-batgirl-a-matter-of-family-295688.phtml

I guess I missed the fact that Rocksteady didn't develop it, but WB Games Montreal instead.
man what happened with this batman game. it's like they spent all their money on developing the coolest video game batmobile possible (because it is awesome even if it's overused, let's not pretend) and then completely phoned in every other possible aspect of the game.

I wish the GotY edition of Arkham City had gotten a separate trophy list so I'd have more of an excuse to play it again.

I think Stotch mentioned this, but binge playing the side stuff was really hard to do. Yes, you could tackle the scenarios in different ways, but sometimes I felt forced to pick a cheap way, especially on Own the Roads.

Playing whatever side missions you could before progressing the story was definitely the way to go, as I never really got bored doing that for my first playthrough.

Whoever decided firemen and Firefly were good side quests must be taken aside at Rocksteady to have a nice chat.

if that ps4 remaster ever materializes you'll get your shot. I suspect that leak may have just been fishing from WB for interest though.

You know I've wondered if trying to shotgun the whole game in one playthrough made the side mission stuff feel more intolerable than it was, but nothing will change the fact that there was too much of the same thing over and over again with zero payoff in the form of sweet boss battles or big scenery changes. nope! never leave the dark and neon of gotham city and never have a boss battle that requires more than beating up minions or shooting the exhaust of tank.

with some distance from it now I'm realizing that the main thing I liked about the game was the predator stuff and that's only because they finally gave us enough tools to do whatever the fuck we wanted in them for the first time in the series. predator missions became little batman playgrounds and that was fun.

I thought it was weird that
Firefly got his own side quest when he was also mentioned as a main factor in the Firemen quest. Are there really no other fire-themed Batman villains?

I'll agree, but you have to remember that you have a MUCH higher tolerance for pain in this regard than most people. I was definitely mildly annoyed by the side missions by about the halfway point in the story AND I'd lost the whole rhythm of the story by chasing side missions in between story ones. it wasn't until ng+ that I saw the story as a cohesive whole but by then I already knew how it ended.

Just beat Bioshock. Good ending because I'm not a complete asshole. I was surprised at the ending, though; I thought it was going to lead right into Bioshock 2 simply because of the events near the end of the game. With that in mind the ending didn't seem to fit. Seeing Fontaine go down was nice, though. Glad they took that route with his demise.

Might go on to Bioshock 2 in #OhShitOctober. Probably enough time between now and then to be ready for another one.

At 6 games for #JJ now. Star Wars: Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition next, I think.
Just because it's an old game doesn't mean I want the ending spoiled, jerk.

In SW:FU the main character goes good and starts the rebel alliance.

Cool.

16 bucks is pretty cheap, think i'll bite.

Now watch it go to plus in the next couple of months before I even open it.

#YOURallwelcome
It will be on EA Access by the end of the summer so if you have an Xbone and that service, no point in buying it.

I already knew about SW:FU.

Not sure how I spoiled the ending of Bioshock, tbh. Did you not expect the bad guy to die? I left out how he died on purpose, and also was vague about the way the game ended (even though it was only 1 of 3 possible endings.) Additionally I didn't spoil the main twist in the game at all even though I knew about that long before playing it.

I would love a free play mode with the Arkham Knight. Such cool design left to waste. Why not release a skin or a dlc of him? Sigh.

I wanted to get that phineas and ferb game but my daughter only plays that terrible game that we shall not name.
My son actually commented that it reminded him of the game that shall not be named a little bit. Action is a little more fun than that and obviously its funnier because Phineas and Ferb, but if you play co-op make sure you're player 1.

I think the final villain being
Fontaine
is a separate mini-twist of sorts. Up until that point, you're led to think
he was dead.

MUNKY :boxing:

I still have SW:FU checked out from my library, but I guess there's no point in playing it now.
Lol. MY BAD! You want to play that game for the whole using badass force powers though, not for the story that Disney now said never happened anyway. Also, it's hard for me to feel bad when you're one of those library people. Stupid libraries. I'll spoil this just in case:

That game definitely has the issue that a lot of games that use pre-existing licenses do. Namely that the main character turns out to be the most important person in the whole damn universe, so why the hell haven't we heard of them before?

I would expect there to be a confrontation with the main antagonist at the end of the game, but I don't expect he's going to die. Not in bioshock, but in general, maybe they won't die so they can come back in a sequel. Maybe the player character dies at the end of bioshock 1 and that's why bioshock 2 is a prequel. Who the hell knows. But bioshock is definitely a game where the story is more important than a run of the mill action game.

You're like one of the people last week who said "I'm not sure why you all think it's a spoiler that I said who the arkham knight was. As soon as they started talking about Superman in the game, it was obvious that it was him. The whole game is a set up for their rivalry in the BvS movie next year."

Grabbed thanks.

That galak-z game looks kinda cool might try that one out. My roommate wants to play Journey tho, any better/cheaper way to get it than pre-ordering the PS4 copy? Since its crossbuy I may just do that and let him play on PS3 or something. Not super interested in it myself.

Nobody is stupid enough to believe that, though.
You don't spend that much time talking about a character when they're not going to show up.

But if some one hasn't played it they don't know any of that shit about him being talked about and all the whatever else happens.

Just don't be dicks people. Simple.

10% off with a limited redemption period. Lame.
Yeah, and you know they'll screw everybody over by making those bad sale weeks. Sure you might get more with 10% off new games at MSRP than you do frmo the $3/$6/$9 back they did last year, but it's still a kick in the balls to not get money you can use whenever you want.

These limited-time 10% off coupons really need to go. Sony being so deliberate about them just screws everybody over.

Glad I don't follow any universes so I don't care how a certain game or movie fits in the timelines. I like to watch and play games for what they are and not worry about how they fit in some meta universe where everything is made up and constantly changed anyway!

Having not read the spoiler in that post, the counterexample is snakey. He is stupid enough to believe anything.
I was referring to the claim in the spoiler, which doesn't really spoil anything beyond what Therm already said regarding Bioshock.

Here's your ego boost for the day: I borrowed Force Unleashed based solely on your posts here praising it.
It really is great, of all the Star Wars game's I've previously played it's the first time I truly felt the power of being a Jedi. I also liked the story and characters quite a bit.

The game is 8 years old and I was still careful not to spoil anything important. The most anybody could walk away with was "Oh, some dude named Fontaine is the bad guy" which means nothing to someone who hasn't played the game anyway.

I mean, I get spoilers, and Arkham Knight is a good example of a game that should still be spoilered, but right now we're talking about something so old that it exceeds the statute of limitations for most felonies.

Am I supposed to spoil that
Vader is Luke's father,
too?
