Great review man. Really had a blast playing the game.

As for you issue with the axe, how many times has that happened to you? I think I only broken 1 or 2 axes in my 84 playthroughs.

My only issue with the game is the music and didn't really dig the artwork at all. Other than that, well worth my $15. The PS4 version needs to come out with new trophies so I can buy it again.
I only actually got screwed by the axe once, but it broke on me about 5 times, including my very first victory run (where I had one door left to break but the merciful god of Roguelikes smiled upon me and there apparently wasn't any fire behind the door).

It happens a lot in the 4th world, even when you start from there. I did a bunch of 4th world runs trying to get that less than one hour trophy which ultimately glitched on me anyway and that's where it kept breaking. The time I did get screwed was stupid as fuck.

The axe breaking just doesn't add anything at all to the game and doesn't need to be included.

I really hope the PS4 version has a separate trophy list.

At 100 GS apiece. That's crazy. Will the trophies all be gold with a plat?
It's possible but very unlikely. All Xbox One games have 1000 gamerscore now, so when a game like this only has 10 achievements they all get super inflated values. It's actually really dumb. Games like Nutjitsu, Another World, and Thomas Was Alone don't really deserve to have the exact same Gamerscore value as Halo 5, Witcher 3, and Dragon Age 3.

Sony's way isn't perfect, but I don't think giving every single game a platinum trophy is the right answer either.

Wow I didn't even know that Xbox one did that. That's really stupid.

The one problem I have with Sony's method is how they determine what get a plat and what doesn't. Does the develop have any input (like an extra payment to let the game have the plat?).

Also had some more time to play Lost Dimension and it is starting to sneak into my GOTY. The Vision section of the game is awesome and battles are starting involve more strategies now than you simple move an attack.
If anyone thinks they are going to get Lost Dimension eventually you should pick up some of the DLC as it is free for a few weeks. Most of it is just alt costumes for the characters or minor starting bonuses, but 3 of them have added missions and it looks like one of them relates to the backstory of the game's antagonist.

PS3 version DLC

Vita version DLC

Already did so, thanks.

It actually takes several 'trips' to get it all since you can only put 10 items at a time in your shopping cart via the web store.

Grabbed the free stuff for lost dimension as well, probably going to grab the vita version if/when it goes on sale.

If anyone has any Sony gift cards, the online store shuts down near the end of August

The dlc costumes are really cool. And dlc missions are actually worthplaying as they have special items if you s rank them(stat increase apps). 15 missions total (I think) and some of them are intriguing. One includes the main characters past.

Would anyone here want a code to unlock Mewtwo in Smash Bros. 3DS, which expires today? FYI, I won't be able to get it to you for a few hours since I'm out flipping and I left the code at home.
Nobody wants this code? I can send it out now.

Man, Xillia 2 is grindy as fuck.
I know, right? I was so close to just skipping the plat, but I found videos that I could follow for the more annoying battle challenges, so I figured what the heck?

Did I miss your post saying what you thought of the ending?

Holy shit, a guy who works on the game is hyping it up and saying it has a ton of content?! I've never seen that before.

What's next? Waitresses that smile and flirt with you or wear low cut shirts in an attempt to get a higher tip?

So the Mighty No 9 delay that Game Informer is reporting is based on Gamestop (its owner) delaying the game, more than likely just the retail verison. I still don't think it's confirmed that the digital version is delayed.

We've talked about it here a lot but there's really no way to know. How RE4 doesn't get a plat is just mind-boggling. I don't think devs have to pay for plats or anything, I just think there's a small trophy team that decides and each person interprets the trophy rules a bit differently. Like the dude who reviewed RE4 was super conservative with the guidelines and the dude who reviewed games like Spare Parts and Color Guardians was super liberal with the guidelines.

Suda51's Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day PS3 is on sale for 5 pounds + 2.95 US shipping from Rice Digital, right now its around $12.41. We only got this game digital so if you want a physical copy this is a great deal.

Nice! Went ahead and ordered it, thanks. Looks decently fun and also seems like I'll get quite a bit more than that back when I resell it on eBay.
hey my windows 10 upgrade went without a hitch. does that mean I'm the best at windows in the thread???
I have a Win 8.1 laptop I haven't used since a few days before Thanksgiving. Just finishing up like 2gb of updates. Rolling back updates. Lol what a joke. No wonder I haven't used Win 8.1 in 8 months.

Finished The Old Blood tonight. I tried to do the Uber glitch but could not
kill the final boss
. Wasn't 100% sure I did the glitch right anyway so rolled back the difficulty just to finish it. Assuming they don't patch the Uber glitch I will probably try again sometime. Fun game will be on the look out for the New Blood for cheap.

I forget who asked, but yes, if you get the free PS Now sub and then immediately cancel it will continue to work for the remainder of the week.

Also, I asked whether PS Now has access to your PS+ online saves and never got a response; it does, but it's not automatic. You have to manually upload or download from PS Now to PS+ storage and the reverse. It's stupid as fuck. Here's a link with the steps:

https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5303/~/saved-games-on-playstation-now

I don't know why they thought letting your online gaming session not automatically pull from your online gaming storage was a good idea, because it's not.  :wall: They need to fix this nonsense just like they need to fix the 1gb storage limit.

The PS Now game selection screen for PS4 is absolutely bullshit. There's no "See All" or search function. It's just a handful of rows of games shoved under various topics. The rows circle so if you go in either direction you'll see repeats pretty quickly. Games also show up in multiple rows, so if you're on the first row you'll see "Infamous 2" for top rated, then you'll see it again under popular, then you'll see it again under action, etc.. Really poor design that feels like it's intended more to artificially inflate the number of available games than to make it easy for people to see what there is to choose from.

Here's the full list of PS Now subscription games. It's truncated pretty heavily compared to the full list of PS Now games that are available. The sub advertises 100+ games (it's 112), but rentals has 350+ games advertised.

https://www.playstation.com/en-us/explore/psnow/subscriptions/

If anybody is curious about PS Now but hasn't tested it since the beta (which was unusable), I did play Infamous 1 for a bit on PS Now on PS4. It played perfectly. Graphics were a bit downgraded, but not bad. Subtitles stood out as having a bit of artifacting, which makes sense. I suspect other games would have been more obvious about the graphical hit--Infamous 1 had a rough, grainy look that stands up to the hit better than most, I think.

There's a pst.org forum thread about the glitch. It was still working fine as of 2 weeks ago.

Those of you that have played both Zero Escape and 999... how much more will I enjoy Zero Escape if I'm familiar with 999?  Is it worth watching a Let's Play during my downtime at work or should I just skip it?
