It was me. I grabbed it for you. I'll send it to you when I get it but he's slow and doesn't send keys out on weekends so it will probably be a couple of days or so.
I think he went on vacation recently, because it took 3 weekdays to get my keys. Not sure if he's still gone, I think one of his assistants was handling keys and fucked some of them up (gave Squarelands keys for anyone that ordered Immune lol).

I had to create a thread in the support forum just to get my keys.

So I'm not much when it comes to buying Steam games outside of Steam themselves but are the keys on eBay generally safe buy/redeem/get as gifts?

I just upgraded my PC and actually have some time to play some games. I want to play The Witcher (have 2 but want to play the series sequentially) and Tomb Raider and see that they can be had for about $5-8 now... just don't know if those places are trust worthy.
I would avoid ebay personally, unless it is for something like an AMD Gold code. Otherwise Steam Store during sales (next one is likely Black Friday timeframe) is decent for a newbie. Check the second post of the thread, lots of good info. Humble Bundles can be an inexpensive way to expand your library, so can the trading thread. GMG, Gamersgate, and Humble have frequent sales. Use Chrome and get Enhanced Steam, then browse the Steam Store to see what the all time low price is on a game.

Not new to this, I've purchased from Steam before but I'm not someone who just buys tons of games, usually stick to the games I like. I was only trying to see what non-Steam store deals can be had now since I doubt I'll have much free time by BF.

Thanks for the tip on the Enhanced Steam extension, very nice!

Don't. Just look for someone selling a Nvidia key. Theres no reason whatsoever to buy it full price. If Ground Zeroes is a big deal, get that from a trader too. You shouldn't have to pay more than $40 for both.
There's a guy who's semi local on ebay that has codes but it's still thirty seven bucks...

Edit: Eh, screw it. I don't really need those exclusive digital items. :p

So I was adding free games on Indie Game Stand to my wallet there because what the hell, some might give Steam keys someday, and I came across Hawk Eye Quandaries
ReVenture Games said:
Hawk Eye Quandaries is based upon the framework of EA*KIDS 1993 Classic “Eagle Eye Mysteries“, wherein two preteen twins solve crimes with their silent player character, i.e.: you. Our game is built upon that same idea.

wait, is your avatar ironic? if you love MGS i'm guessing you'll love Phantom Pain, regardless of price.
Well, my normal avatar thing is uh, a gray fox. So...

I've also been a fan of MGS since the first game. I never did beat 3 or play 4. Eh.

PSN has Sherlock Holmes Crime and Punishments for $7.80 this weekend, meaning Steam/GMG/w.e. needs to get off their ass and put it at $7-8 soon. I mean I could just buy it for console but I'd have massive amounts of self hate for playing an adventure game on a console (or with a controller; also David Cage games don't count).

It's been free before too on PSN+, at least for PS3. I suppose I should get off my ass and play it at some point before my membership runs out. :p

Also, I confess to having played Journey of a Roach (an adventure game) on the PC with a controller.

Speaking of trying to get through "free" ps+ games...I started playing Remember Me yesterday, it's much better than reviews indicate. It has some really interesting ideas in terms of setting as well as game mechanics (rewinding through memories, customizing combos) that make it worthwhile. It's flawed though. The script is pretty uneven and some of the names of the characters are cringe worthy, it feels like it was written by a group of writers aged 10-30. Plus all of its mechanics are done better in other games. Still I don't understand why it has a bad reputation, it's not Lost Planet or something.

Forgot about PS+, probably should look into signing up at some point (though my PS3 spends a lot of time being a dust collector rather then a gaming/entertainment machine >

Did the reviews indicate that it would crash on your couch, drink all your beer and get your sister pregnant? Because that's the only way it could be much better than the reviews indicate. The game itself is garbage.

OH I saw a deal, finally. The end of the dark tunnel is near, I can see the light!!

50% - Dragon Ball Xenoverse [Online Game Code] - $25.00 Steam

There are other "sales" like Evolve, but not worth even drunk.
For anyone w/ Bing $ or that missed this deal sometime ago:

75% off - Dark Souls 1: Prepare To Die Edition [online game code] (Steam key) = $5.00

[price is before any tax]

ITAD's saying this costs one Metro LL more than its best price before:

It did all of those things so I have been impressed. Did you bother introducing remember me to your sister? It loves knocking shit up

I knew Syntax Error would show up at the mention of anything positive about Remember Me.

Oh and pasports if you think Remember Me is cringe worthy just wait until you play their next game.

The following is the opinion of MysterD.

Remember Me is underrated. It takes a little bit to get going somewhere story-wise + gameplay-wise, but once it does - it gets really good, IMHO.

Life Is Strange is so far my favorite "adventure" game this year. Love that game.

{LiS - Selfie Achievements / Music Video}

Well, I guess now everyone will now have no problem finding the Selfie Achievements photo-taking spots in the game, heh.

Oh noes! selfEspoilrz!

That game is one big fucking selfie. Ugh.

I'd rather play 12 Poopees Greenlight games then boot up that game again.

So, you didn't like the game's main story? And the decision-making? And the rewind mechanic?

MysterD, you might want to give it a chance to Blues and Bullets (I think only chapter 1 is available to play yet). I don't know, but check for yourself the store. It's made by a spanish indie studio, btw.

Salut.

It all felt very fake and forced and cringe worthy. Like a bunch of cliches some adults think teenagers should be mixed in with some antiquated styles of dress and slang from their own youth. And then they had to throw in a faux Twin Peaks vibe because 'hey it's the pacific northwest and we're 20 years behind on the slang and clothing anyway so let's make it Twin Peaks with flannel clad selfie taking mean girls'.

I just couldn't stomach it.

It's to me what Remember Me is to Syntax Error. I think it needs to die in a fire.

*Edited to add: The rewind thing doesn't make sense either. It was like they loved that mechanic from Remember Me so much (it was one of the things that was near universally praised about Remember Me even by those who otherwise didn't like the game) that they just shoehorned it into their next game. A wizard did it, TADA!

I imagine now that will be their trademark and they'll come out with a rewinding FPS, a rewinding strategy game, a rewinding RPG, a rewinding Hidden Object game etc. etc.

How about your thoughts on Telltale's "adventure" games?

David Cage's "adventure" games?

I did say MGS, not MG. Solid is a different series.

I couldn't get into the original Metal Gear on the NES (I was eleven years old, and had no access to FAQs or guides), and I do own MGS3 Subsistence, but my PS2 broke down before I could play the enhanced Metal Gear ports. :(

I couldn't get into the original Metal Gear on the NES (I was nine years old, come on), and I do own MGS3 Subsistence, but my PS2 broke down before I could play the enhanced Metal Gear ports. :(
I really liked the NES versions of Metal Gear + Snake's Revenge, way back in the NES days.

EDIT:

I dunno why the hell I never bought MGS1, since it was on the old PSX & even made its way to Windows. [shrug]

I liked the Walking Dead adventure games although they railroad the hell out of you so they choice is something of an illusion. Also I think I am done with them after 2 seasons as it feels like a never ending hamster wheel of depressing shit that they just keep milking because it's popular.

I like the format though and am able to enjoy it if I think the characterizations are done well and I go into it recognizing there's really not much true choice and it's just a slightly interactive story.

I haven't bought Tales from the Borderlands or Game of Thrones yet because it hasn't been cheap on Steam and every time it goes on sale somewhere else it's Telltale DRM.

Haven't played the David Cage stuff yet. I very rarely play on the Playstation. Even less frequently than on the PC and that's saying something since I hardly ever play anything these days. I do keep meaning to get Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy but I keep Gilbying it every time it goes on sale, which is probably just as well since I imagine it will be bundled at some point.

Well, duh. I show up here like 20 times a day regardless
I hadn't noticed in the 30 times a day I check here and MysterD probably didn't either in the 80 times a day he checks here.

FTFY.

I really liked Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy (regular edition)...up until the last 1/3rd turns into a cliched, predictable mess loaded w/ QTE sequences. First 2/3rd's are really good, though.

I don't have a PS3, so I haven't played Beyond: Two Souls or Heavy Rain unfortunately.

I have Omikron (on GOG), but really just haven't given it the time of day. I really should give it more of a chance + some time, though.

I really dug TWD Season 1 + 2. I really like the interactive movie / "adventure game" format that both TellTale + Quantic Dream have popularized. Probably another reason I like Life Is Strange so much - I wish there were more of these types of adventures. And it would be nice if a Steam-version of Telltale's Tales from Borderlands + Games of Thrones bricked - I agree w/ you there.

EDIT:

Sorry for the Fakeybro related post, but is anyone playing GTA Online?
I'm still waiting for a killer GTA5 PC sale.

So, to answer your question: NOT ME!!!

nothing against PS3 at all with regards to games as I still play Ratchet and Clank for instance. However, my PS3 mainly serves as a bluray player i.e. Redbox rental or streaming Netflix.

MysterD and others that are following Mr. Robot, are you ready for the season finale?
