Who needs to win one when you can have PSNOT buy it for you?
You really need to give us an update with a bar graph or something. People like to throw their money at something that shows progress.

Be aware though that if we find out you are constantly buying $3 games the funding most likely will come to a halt.

Maybe when the PSN can use PayPal. That'll be the day.

I'm holding onto my snes and 64 games but here's what I have to sell on ebay to boost the paypal account:

Gamecube:

Eternal darkness
Smash Bros melee
Zelda windwaker
Zelda ocarina of time master quest
Mario sunshine

Ps2:

Suikoden 3
Dragon quest
Dark cloud 2

No chance, mine has PT on it.
PT and a 2TB HD

Say that five times fast.

Cases are all good. Would have to check the discs, but they all work perfect. Not sure if they are mint enough for a collector, but depends how picky you/they are. I'll take a better look at them after work tonight.

I sent Caniac a similar pm about mine and he never responded. I assume he's looking for collector quality which I completely understand. I actually have Dark Cloud 2 myself but it's dics only and has a bunch of those swirls on the disc from those cheap disc fixers. I decided not to list it.

I really do need to find mine and put it up for sale! Plus we've got a backward compatible Wii for playing GC games at 480p.
I cleaned mine up and listed it as "gently used" lol. I bought it used myself for $50 so I can't complain about getting $215. The guy that bought it was thrilled too so it's all good.

Something I'd like to get hold of is an GC Action Replay disc that isn't busted. They must have made those discs out of the most brittle plastic available. They crack apart just by looking at them.

The gamecube with component is actually marginally better looking than the backward compatible Wii, thats why everyone is gaga for it. Wouldn't matter to most, but its cool to have. Nintendo apparently had some chip in it that wasn't replicated by third party cables.

Yeah you asked me for a list of what I was looking for and that seemed a daunting task. I used to have a binder filled with lists of everything I still needed/wanted for each system but I haven't actively been hunting for over a year so with my collection its easier to look through a list of what someone has rather than try to remember everything I need off the top of my head. If I see it/read it I'll know if I have/want it but to just think about it I'm pretty lost at this point.

I am looking for pretty good quality though, scratchless discs etc.

Pretty sure I have one. I have a mint in box one for PS1 and a pretty shoddy one for PS2

Yeah I also got the feeling you wanted more rare games than I had. Most of my stuff is the action/horror genre. Anything I purchased new though was still near mint, as I told you I take care of my shit. I sold the haunting ground for a nice chunk of change.

Also is it just me or does anyone else cringe when people hold a disc by anything other than the center hole? I see people post pictures and videos of stuff they are selling and they senselessly manhandle it. Collectors don't want to wipe off thumbprints.

I am not a collector but this bothers me. I am not a clean freak but I take care of my shit. I never touch anything but the center and sides of a disc. Ever. I taught my 7 year old not to do that and she even does pretty well with it so adults should know better too.

And is using component cables when playing GC games on the WiiU not the same?
Found a couple videos online. One I thought the Wii looked a bit better and one I thought the Gamecube looked better.

Regardless, I would take the $200 and put it towards a computer that can make Dolphin emulator games look great before I spent it on a single Gamecube cord.

I understand there's other reasons to want the cord of course.

Wait, what else can you do with a $200 component cable? And isnt that cable proprietary to Nintendo so you cant even use it with other electronics?

A $200 cable should at least have a Monster logo on it right?

Heres an informative video about every different option for playing GC games, positives and negatives, and region lockout choices by Nintendo. Worth watching all the way through if you're really interested.

The Wii cable isn't quite as good. Like I said for the average person and everyone here it wouldn't matter.

Man you guys aren't fucking around. That cable is really going for $200! Is there not a knockoff available or anything?

It was a proprietary cable for some reason and supposedly GC games look better on a Gamecube with Component cables. Nintendo also made about 5 total. They even removed the port on the Gamecube that would accept them. I swear some people never actually play games they just analyze every dot on the screen.

I remember when they were up over $100 and they were like $0.99 at Gamestop used. I searched but never found a single one. A year or two ago I saw a gamecube on ebay that had a set in the picture without being listed as such. I made a go at around $30 or $40 but people must have gotten wise to the auction because it shot way up in price by the time it was over.

Fun stuff.

Yeah, it plugs into a special port. And not all Gamecubes had that port. They took it out later on to save money. As far as I know there were never any 3rd party component cables for Gamecube and the one that you could get you had to buy direct from Nintendo. I got mine used from Gamestop.

It made a difference back when they made them I guess. I'm not sure if they even make sense now other than they are rare and collectors want them.

As a non-collector and just someone who wanted to play, it would make sense to me to pay that much if you were a huge Gamecube fan and wanted the absolute best visuals possible. Except that Dolphin emulator stuff undoubtedly tops that now, so even with the $200 cord you're still not playing the game the best it can look.

I don't know anything about the legality of all that, whether if you own a disc copy you can legally play an emulated version or whatever.

Yea but if you wanted the best AUTHENTIC experience, youd have to have one of these magical cables.
